Mine is also wooden cabinet with ganite top and ceramic sink. Moved in 2 years and so far no leakage under the sink. We do not store things in the cabinet under the sink in case the pipes leak and also to avoid creating any strange odour in the compartment. Maybe you should check for leakage on the seal btw your sink and the table top. As for the black rubber under your sink, no idea what that is as I do not have a SS sink, but it sure is strange that it is wet all the time as you described.

I also do not like too much carpentry and customisation. There are a lot of nice ready-made pieces if you can spend the time to look for them. btw, your place near the $990k unit?

We got one a few weeks ago and created a cosy corner. Massage function is ok, of course not as good as those few $k massage chair.

If it is water pipe, you will know. My contractor hit a concealed water pipe during my reno and straight away water started leaking. Unlikely to be a gas pipe. Don't think HDB run gas pipes concealed in toilet walls. Gas pipes from the mains terminate at kitchen. And from there you extend to your hob and central gas heater from citygas. Just patch up and choose another spot to drill. Or get the 3M toilet accesories, I changed some of my rusty lousy toilet accesories to 3M.

No, but have a relative staying there with the same layout as your place.

I am using 3M leather cleaner for car. Clean every 3 months or so, pretty effortless.

Can show some pics?

But how to install in storeroom? It is a CD shelter, cannot hack or drill (more than 50mm deep). Unless yours is the old type of storeroom.

Eeeee.... dun like the trees, eerie eerie when you come back at nite and the winds are blowing... -
Actually the concern is not electricity bill but rather the water bill that will go up since the hot water to the sink is from the gas heater. The gas heater will only "fired up" when you turn on the tap. So if insist on using hot water to wash dishes, will have to let the cold water run (waste water) for a while (mayb 2-3 mins) before you get hot water. Unless you let the water run continuously when washing dishes, at the end of the day, there might not be much hot water at the sink. IMHO, too much water wastage.

Congrats on our new place. Just to share our experience in using the citygas gas heater. Hot water is not instant, takes a while to reach tap. Been using the gas heater for the past 2 years and on average, takes about 2-3 mins for the water to get reasonably warm when showering. Also, the water might not be hot enough when both the showers are being used at the same time. We do not have hot water for washing dishes.

The trees are dying... -
Personally, I thought the beauty of this type of windows is to have unobstructed view. By installing grilles, it is not much different from normal windows.

Why don't they start using the traffic light crossing near Sheng Siong, waiting for what? The zebra crossing markings are not very clear, and I seen old folks pressing the traffic lights waiting to cross. It is not safe. I just dropped a note to TC.
