  1. Yes! This is the photo I am waiting for. Very interesting looking. Given the row of windows, your place is gonna be bright and airy.
  2. Yup, heard many stories on how efficient on getting permits approval as well as reject without any particular reason. To wrap up by CNY is a long shot, given now still pending hacking approval and workers wrapping up 1 week before CNY. Timeline wise practically you are left with approx. 3 more week to go only. IMO better to pace nicely than to rush for CNY.
  3. Throughout the viewings, we’ve come across many other viewers. One thing never fail to fascinate me are some of the comments and remarks made about the unit they are viewing and mind you, some are pretty negative. Kinda beats me, if the unit is not suitable, why not simply move on rather than passing caustic remarks. No one is forcing them to make a decision; afterall this is someone’s home. Show some respect. Making decision isnt a tough matter but parting with hard earn cash is. Deliberating isn’t gonna help and after smashing the last piggy bank, the sums does balance. So there goes with the decision to go ahead with purchase. Signed the OTP and on course for the retirement home in mind.
  4. Very eager to see the changes on this part. Do you need to apply permit for this?
  5. Waiting to see your selection of wall papers.
  6. Oops, what I meant was the width, the distance between the 2 wardrobe.
  7. Hello, seller left out one testing light bulb, hereby compensate you RMB10, are you willing to accept?
  8. Heard from Foo about the changes, cant wait to see the new layout.
  9. Yes....gonna steal my mum's sewing machine now.
  10. Good lord! That is indeed jumbo. Mind asking the price paid?
  11. What the length of the space of the walk way??
  12. Hi, where did you get the table from and cost? Does it comes with the drawers?
  13. Wanted a bigger place for living, not that current place running out of space but simply prefer a bigger one. Had always been living in the west side, so after years being away, time to move "Back to the West". Searching for the right unit had not been a breeze but not that tough either. Mainly due to wanting a big unit hence the limitation of choices. Big units are pretty scarce plus location is another factor to consider as well. Did thought about EM but the 2 storey kind of turn us off, call us lazy if you want. Personally I find EM had certain restrictions in changing the layout and living space planning. Though the area in excess of 140m2 is appealing but the staircase takes away a fair bit of space. Also EM units don’t seem to come in high floors or in the west side at least. Moving on, after one and a half months viewing 5 units in all, a new listing was made known to us. Headed down to the unit for viewing. Overall condition is acceptable. About 10mins walk to MRT, reasonable mid high floor, living room and all rooms facing a park area. A good distance from the opposite block, separate by the park. Time to do the math and think hard.
  14. Hi, what is the price for the Electrolux package?
  15. Plus minus is about there. Subjected to itemised pricing. If you break it down and employ individual contractors, you may have saving here and there. Certain work such as tiling may involve hacking and this is cost. Overlay is an option only when applicable. Just the shower screen and frosted door may set you back up to 2K alone. Painting approx. 1.8K and up. Carpentry is costly, normally back on per foot run. Full height cost more, high ceiling even more. Do the math, break it down and you will have a clearer picture. Then and again, you must have time to manage, plan and coordinate.
  16. Tried both the Papa Bear and Eames, Papa is more comfy. (Both replica). Anyway, gonna place order for one soon.
  17. Thanks for the support. Discouraging WIW because of been there, done that. The various colours of clothings and hangers are really an eyesore and never fails to raise my eyebrow every time I look at it. And seriously, clothings that are seldom worn, are really collecting dust despite the room always had the windows close at all time. WIW is nice if one can dedicate a complete room to the course and not just half the room. Actually I find BR 3 makes a nice study room. The right angle wall adjacent to BR 2 can hold a full height right angle book cabinet. Throw in a nice study table and a lounge chair and viola, a nice place to lay back for some quiet reading. If more wardrobes needed, simply add in one more in this room.
  18. If you cant find the vintage radio, you can consider this as well.
  19. How about scraping the idea of a WIW? Build the wardrobe along the wall of MBR and BR 1 and throw in a proper dressing table? I feel a proper dressing table is a minimal requirement for a lady. Then there will be space for a king size bed and 2 bedside table and the whole place will no look cluster. Use bedroom 3 as a study, build more wardrobe to store not frequent used clothing. This way, you have a decent room for renting out or future purposes and also minimised hacking and rebuilding. Cost wise, also more efficient. Future selling also easier.
