Omg.. Pretty nice place spoilt by bad carpentry.. If its me, I insists on them changing to better carpenter if not take back money and find a carpenter yourself.. Its your house not mil house.. But ask your hubby to complain to mil dont do it yourself ;p. I also have holes in my carpentry but at least the holes and chipped edges are inside not outside

I think it's not practical definitely. Why don't you consider getting 2 eames chair instead? But then when guest come over, they will also fight for the chair..haha..

i think should box up everything, best to put in cabinets. Then you will have lots of space to hide your stuff. imho not boxing up is an invitation to lots of dust and pests. I can't imagine having lots lizard eggs up there.

hi paloma I have some thing urgent to check with you, for the white brick wall, did your contractor use white cement for grouting? and also did he paint over it later or no painting of the brick wall was done? I realised my ID did the brick wall wrongly I think.. my ID use normal cement and is planning to paint over the whole wall with white paint, so it won't be able to have the raw look that I wanted... Pls let me know urgently so that I can ask my ID to rectify. thanks!

My door is quite wide and has 3 sections. Actually I was also considering aluminium grills since they don't rust and are cheaper.. but then thinking what's the point of installing grills to have them easily cut

sianz. I didn't come to renotalk to read about the difference between magnetic and electronic ballast before buying. Lighting shop just gave us magnetic ballast without asking us. It was only when we installed the lights then we realised there is flicker. When I called to complain to the sales guy why he never checked with us whether should be magnetic or electronic ballast, he claimed that most people take magnetic ballast, cos electronic ballast is very expensive, almost same price as LED, which is like $88 - $98. May I know how much did you all buy your electronic ballast at for e.g. a PLC light at 18W?

i see.. well but I rather not take any chances. I will continue to look around somemore for options

hi how do you keep your cats safe from jumping out of windows? I am looking for aluminium or stainless steel insect screen with aluminium frame, which looks nicer and can keep my cats safe but cannot find. Most companies only sell magnetic insect screen or fibreglass which are not strong enough. I prefer insect screens than grills as they do not obstruct my view. thanks!
