  1. If you have money to spend, go for TOTO. Only downside, most of their models are designed for "P" Trap ie., the outlet hole in the wall. If you want to use for "S" trap (hole in floor), then a converter is needed. Usually plastic converter is recommended. But I am bit sceptical about it. Other famous brands like American Standard, Lauren, Bravat etc., are available in few shops. But choice is limited. And not much on display except in TOTO showrooms. Read my report above (post #5) to get an idea of other brands.
  2. I like the kitchen layout design and laminate choice. Is you kitchen sink ends before the kitchen wall with a gap to access the windows? Maybe you can share the pics from the other end of the kitchen.
  3. Yes, yes.. I am setting-up home theater in my living too. Pl check out the details in my blog. I just updated my home theater purchases this morning.

  9. Hi Rose, In my previous home, I had the same WC. Very durable. Good choice!
  10. Hi Songz, I see your kitchen sliding door is laminate? Any particular reason why didn't you choose glass? Does it have top and bottom tracks? Cheers
  11. IMHO, ultimately choosing an ID depends a lot on the Chemistry. First one needs to feel there's a trust established between the ID and the home owner. For this the home owner needs to do a lot of preparatory work before choosing an ID. Unless your inner mind says YES, don't sign on the dotted line. Secondly, the two way communication which must be open, honest and objective. I say objective, is to get the best possible outcome in a particularly difficult situation; there will be definitely many difficult / technical challenge situations when the reno has commenced. The ID and home owner should work together to handle these situations and arrive at an acceptable situations. Thirdly, I noticed many IDs quote very less in their initial quote. But don't be surprised, as the reno progresses they charge exorbitant rates for any changes or adding-on extra items the owners tend to include as an after thought. As home owners are doing reno only once in many years, it is not possible to think through all the angles and be confident to say - there won't be any changes/alterations/add-ons. So the IDs reasonableness at this juncture cements the bond between homeowner and ID.
  12. Hi, Nice view from your home. Are you settingup home theater projector in living or in one of the bedrooms? Where did you buy the AV Receiver, EPSON projector and Boston Acoustings speaker? Can you pl share costs?
  13. You can hang some nice pictures with white background on the corridor to make it outstanding!
  14. Cool, my purchases were over $5000! You are right - they offer their best price for casual customers even if you are just enquiring and not buying. That's why I like them. It saves the trouble of haggling and breaking your head to find what's the lowest point. And yes, Yuki and Irene are the bright stars in Heritage!
  15. Hi Raymond, Sorry for the delay. I was travelling and missed your message. Just PM-ed you. Hope it's not too late.
  16. Also completed LED lighting purchases in Singapore this week. After comparing few shops including a warehouse cum retailer in Paya Lebar (recommended by another Renotalk friend), I decided to buy my LEDs from AVARIC Lightings at Syed Alwi Road. They are called VALUE4U PTE LTD. Their products stood out in quality - they use all "Samsung" chips and drivers are made in their own factory. Their service was excellent stood out when compared to the plethora of shops selling LEDs. And finally their prices are infact very competitive. 1. LED downlights 2. Toilet lights LED 3. T5 LED lights 4. LED strip lights for under cabinets in kitchen, living, study, master bedroom dresser. I also bought some more lights from Design Lights @ 101, Kitchener Road, Jalan Besar Plaza. Very patient lady explained few technical stuff while choosing my track lights and ceiling lights. Again prices are very competitive. 5. Ceiling lights for Kitchen 6. 20. Woohoo. Could not resist the temptation, so opened the brass colored dining lights I bought in India and took some pictures. I must say it is gorgeous . The brass color looks more like gold color. I didn't expect it to turn into gold!. But my ID is loving it. ">http:// ">http:// ">http://
