avoid dk lightings at geylang. bad quality lights n irresponsible bad customer service. 3 lights bought from them spoilt so far in less than 6months. husband and prc wife team. when call them to tell them about the spoilt lights they scold us back and insist it is user who spoilt e lights. hav 2 spend time n $ 2 replace e spoilt lights nw. completely no ethics. jus beware.

hi mace, thks for ur help. did nt know u oredi reply my query since so long ago. light bulb doesnt flicker and nt like disco light at all. after i off e switch there are occasional sparks happening within e bulbs (sparks came on suddenly, go off, n then came on again). n becos there r 3 bulbs in total, e sparks r v frequent n v scary. makes u tink like there is still electricity in the lamp or someth. tis w happen thruout e rest of the nite. cant ignore becos it is directly above us. e ceiling lamp is e hanging type, so quite low 1. i havent tried 5w. my room oni tt ceiling lamp, 3 x 5w nt enuff 2 brighten e room rite? even for cool daylight bulbs. nvrtheless i w try n c. can tell me where exactly in rocher centre 2 buy e cheap bulbs? THANKSSS..

sorry wtg54, hijack ur post. i oso used elite during my house moving. my experience very nt gd. wld nt recommend. they came 2 my place gave a quotation and then chg me $50 more. Thing is they provided me with 20 boxes, (10big 10 small). i did nt even use all e boxes hw can they chg me more. e person i spoke to was a veronica or whoever n she refuted ever giving me my quotation price. they oso did nt wrap my bed properly, only half way n claim they cant reach their wrappers which is at e back of the van. worse they damaged my false ceiling. workers oso have bad attitude. they provide e "definately wld warn pp kind of service".

Hi Mace, saw that u have some "xin de" on energy saving light bulbs, currently got a qn abt lightbulbs hope u can solve. i bought a ceiling light which has those "3 in 1" light holders (looks like those 1 source then split into 3 bulb holders kind). when i install my energy saving light bulbs (3 x phillips 11w, clear day light) e bulbs sparkle e whole night even after i switch off. e shop owner insisted tt fault lies on my light bulbs. but i tried 2 brands (ikea 1s) oso e same. my whole hse oni using energy saving bulbs none has such problem except tt ceiling light. do u know if it is true as wat e shop owner says, energy saving bulbs w store energy (shou1 dian4) n cause them 2 sparkle? there is nothg i can do abt it? nw i took out e bulbs becos they r blinking 2 much 2 ignore. v sian now no ceiling lights in e room. DO NOT agree tt the owner is honest. his lights r cheap but so is e quality. e whole time we hav nothg but trouble. reno oredi so bz still hav 2 deal w spoilt lights n worse of all irresponsible dishonest shop owner. 1 of e lights (most expensive 1) is giving us so much prob becos e holder is spoilt n he still dare 2 sell it. somemore dare tell us it will b a brand new piece but gave us a display 1. used 4 so long oredi of cos it will hav prob & we knew it is a showrm piece becos he blurped it out by mistake. we oni discovered e fault when we make a switch 2 energy saving bulbs. e bulbs cld nt be secured by e holder at all. u can keep turning 2 infinity n e bulb w still not be screwed on to the plastic holder. call tis derrick n he insist we hav spoilt e light. i hav a dresser w 10 bulbs which i bought with those $1+ light holders n i dun even get such problm. sell pp spoilt goods admit lar. once i got time i w go case n complain. now after i off e lights the bulbs will give out "sparks" once in a while throughout the night. Irritating. waste my electricity oso. any1 who buy lights from this dk better "check" ur lights properly. i dunnoe how oso cos when he delivered e lights we couldnt check 2 cos obviously i dunnoe how 2 install lights how 2 check? but do chk for physical faults n watever there is becos once u pay he is sure nt 2 honour e fault n blame it on e owner. next time i w take my business else where n advise all my frens 2 steer clear of tt shop.

I concur that Aussie Closet left an unpleasant taste in my mouth as well. Thanks Tanis for giving me the chance to ride on this post and write about them. Their quotation was utterly unreasonable. The kind you won't even need to pay with establised designers. As we were inexperienced, we had them work out a quote for us for all the carpentry in the house. We almost signed with them even then, but luckily we decided to source around at the last minute as we weren't sure they have the best designs around. They boasted about how high grade their materials were and being novices I admit we were taken in. Imagine our surprises when we talk to other agencies and discovered our folly. To put it bluntly there is also nothing to shout about with regards to their designs. So lucky that we have nothing to do with them.

Hi all, I just got a unit from JW and would like to seek some advice from those who stay in EA units. Is it absolutely neccessary to install grills at svc balcony? Would windows suffice? I am thinking more of security issues, not safety ones Staying on the 8th floor. Thanks everyone.

Need some advice. I hav been quoted $650 for alu windows at balcony; $750 for alu windows at scv balcony & $1150 for alu grills for whole unit. issit ex? mine is EA premium at jurong west. 134sqm type. Thks.
