Hi, I have a T-Blog but as my hubby requested some of the picts to be taken down for privacy reasons, I have taken them down. For your reference as to how my kitchen looks like, I did only the bottom cabinet as decided not to go for the top cabinet + box up of the pipes. See my avator for the kitchen cabinets.

that idea of the end of the solid surface top for the kitchen is quite innovative since that end should have cabinets but instead got empty space for stools. Can double up as breakfast counter some more. Goes to show space planning is very important for a small cosy place. I like the study room best. Still trying to decide what I should do for my study room. The wall decals look like those in Wink Tailor category by Wink but can't tell if its from Wink or from the other local wall decal shop that I know of.

If they provide sketches, I suppose that is considered ID since contractors don't give sketches of ideas for the place. If in doubt, you can search for the company name in here as there might be some reviews on the company in question.

Not the slippery kind though. It's slightly rough texture. Yours is the slippery type?
-
Homanfai, sounds like you got a good deal for the curtains alone. Are the materials of good quality?
-
Hey crystal15, your floor tiles look similar to our kitchen tiles though the texture seems a bit different.

Spinball, not a prob.

Mine was 2.2k for only the bottom 13ft cabinet with solid surface. If include box up for the pipes and top cabinets of a total of 24ft. it will be around 4k. If you have a lot of drawers, it will be more ex than having doors as I was told that it is simpler to do doors. Will take slightly longer to do the drawers based on measurement including runners for the drawers. From what I noticed, kitchen cabinets cost is about 4-5k now for top & bottom presently. And plus you going through your ID, so if your ID's co do not have its own factory to manufacture the cabinets.. the cost will be more higher since sub-let to others to manufacture plus they need to earn a bit more profit.

btw, spinball your query on the curtains have been answered in my blog.

Only 4 Rms Or Smaller Flat Bto Projects?
BunBun replied to Sam Lee Poh Huat's topic in Housing Rules, Policies and Procedures
From what I heard, it's ok with you are applying for a new flat with your wife to be for first time, when I mean first time.. there should not be no 1st time of owning a flat before. I think you can clarify with HDB why you are only eligible for resale flat, for your own benefit. -
I agree on the size of the oven part. Just yesterday I learnt to bake choc fudge cupcakes & the recipe didn't state it would be for how many cupcakes made. Imagine I spent alot of time waiting for the oven to cool in between baking 4 batches(12 cupcakes each) We're down to 1 jar of cupcakes now. A built in oven is definitely more worth the value if serious baking is involved. Congrats on your getting a new place! Can pick up some recipes from your blog & share pointers with you hurhur. It's a bit ironic that today's modern working women are not proficient at cooking before marriage but after marriage, they learn to be proficient at cooking unless they have husbands who are good at cooking.

Oh then it's a clone or RAID system you got there from SimLim. Heh, i've been busy looking up recipes esp for cookies & cupcakes. Yesterday baked my 1st cupcake recipe & it is a success apparently from my hubby's appetite.

Hey SimplyAnnes, Your blog is truly informative with food stuff. !! Dying to learn all those though but I sux badly at cooking. So can only take a step slowly. Now into learning to bake cupcakes, cakes and cookies. Sad to say that ovens are really ex & that since I can't cook it would be wasted if we'd got a built in oven or convectional oven if I'm not baking enough often. So I ended up getting a 2 in 1 inverter panasonic microwave oven with convectional function. Somewhat practical I guess since can use microwaving function too. I think I'm gg to park at your blog & salivate more.

String curtains should be about 120+ SGD(RM280)

LOL, Hoarders is a term to describe people who tend to collect & keep even stuff in their place for to be re-used all over again. I read about this before in a reader digest book last them then
-
imidazole, I see! sorry i am not good with curtains knowledge. But good that you got a reasonable quote for your curtains in the end. Depends on whether your place is windy enough or not?

Insanepoly, the idea of putting wall decals on the wall with HHS door is a good one! Should be cheaper than having a feature wall to hide it.

$4.80 Psf For Supreme Ac5 Laminated Flooring
BunBun replied to yokine9a's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
AC3 I am not sure as I didn't get to see the actual ones, only the small samples at expo. AC5 is meant to stand high human traffic so i think it should not be a problem for you. If in doubt, you can check with your preferred laminate floor brand -
$4.80 Psf For Supreme Ac5 Laminated Flooring
BunBun replied to yokine9a's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
Softballer, We'd had laminated flooring for whole house except kitchen & balcony hence went for AC5. Infact, we'd originally wanted to go for AC3 in the bedrooms but after hearing the salesman's points on why AC5 is better. AC3 has at most 10 years warranty while AC5 has a lifetime warranty. Somemore AC5 is more stable where high human traffic occurs. AC3 is safe in bedrooms only as the human traffic is not high in bedrooms if I remember right. The aftersales service is good. Just no questions asked when we spotted a couple of problems & the guys came down to fix it promptly on the arranged date. AC3 is should be at 3-4 per psf while AC5 is around 4-5 per psf. Am not sure if the prices are still the same in the market now. -
Hey haroldism, your place is going on good
-
IMHO, you could try speaking to the boss and candidly tell him you want an upgrade to the newer ones which you want. lol. Basically a bit more diff is a lot to business ma. Or else wasting the 1.3k is just basically throwing away the money even before its put to good use. I mean that can be spent on other things to do up your place right?
-
Sounds like you did well in your interview though !! April is like 2 weeks away so you have time on hand to do whatever is needed to be done. What brand is the computer ah?
-
I notice got night curtains too. Those are blackout light types right? If so, the cost per foot for the material involved will be more ex. But yeah, you do have alot of curtains. I can't help but really visualise a 3D version of a landed property, not to mention a condo unit all 'decked' out in curtains drawn out like that.

$4.80 Psf For Supreme Ac5 Laminated Flooring
BunBun replied to yokine9a's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
Not a prob, strychnine. I'm using Supreme's also. But I bought from Supreme directly at the price offered at expo last year. Besides working out the price per psf, you got to factor in the GST as well. For the catalogs of the samples by Supreme, those are in a big book right? Yokine9a is right about supreme's flooring being made in malaysia.(Not all though). You can try supreme's website for more details. www.supremefloor.com.sg It is thick for the smaller samples from the perception & carrying the book samples is kind of heavy, so you need to ask for a sample of the long plank in the colour you choose. Supreme brought 4 samples of the colours in the long plank versions we'd choose. Out of the 4, we'd narrowed it down to 3 colours for the final selection. The long plank sample will give you a better idea how thick it is supported by the foam/rubber underneath. If i remember right, Kronotex sounded a bit heavy & solid during an presentation at the expo exhibition. I was impressed with kronotex's presentation but the price was another factor. Much more ex than supreme -
Kekeke, I can only give ideas hurhur. but design wise, I cannot help at all 'cos every individual got differing tastes.
