  1. we signed at the exhibition. i dun want to rem this unpleasant event so i'll try not to think abt it. my nightmare basically is poor workmanship (until we spoke to the contractor personally) and **** bad service from the sales person. call him 10 times got 8 times never pick up phone. sms him to call back and never ever call back. when talking to him over the phone, always put us on hold for very long cos he will go attend to other stuff. instructions conveyed to him are not carried out. the contractor told me they had to hammer the skirting in bcos our walls are not straight. AGAIN! ALL CAUSE BY UNEVEN WALLS! but they patch up the nail holes nicely for me so still ok. initially they left a lot of empty space between the skirting and the floor. never fill up at all. so lazy!! but now all nicely done. they (5workers) spent 1.5hrs just to rectify the faults. how could they finish installing your floor within 2 hrs?? i really can imagine the quality..... they also saw my door until there's a lot of chips. i forgot to check if they've rectify this. never a 2nd time will i wanna work with them again.
  2. if you are wearing a slim evening gown and got a long march-in (too tired to walk), maybe can consider cycling in. so tian mi mi....
  3. wah... tell me where you put, i go and "remove" ok? kekeke....
  4. finally the supreme ppl has done up my bedroom floor sui sui.... my experience with them was a super duper horrible nightmare until we manage to speak to the contractor directly. those sales ppl really all talk no action. simple instruction i say two times already still can say i never say. delay and delay... all empty promises... but their contractor is good. courteous and efficient. a good lesson learn by us.
  5. i have two groups of unexpected guests today. they came looking for showflat (thinking that they are for sale). my door was opened so they thot my unit is a showflat. when i told them i'm the owner, they all look so shocked and paiseh. haha... they dunno they have to go thru HDB to buy. they even thot the lighting, shower screen flooring and painting are done by HDB. machiam like the way condo works rite? our area is so HOT! i think the buyer is the couple who sold their queenstown EA for 890k. it's a game for those whose pockets are full full.
  6. oh dear... can BSC rectify the watermark? they suppose to give us one year warranty rite? my MBR wall also not straight. luckily the curtain will cover it (i hope). quality so lousy... but construction industry is like that one rite? even for our own reno, we have to complain complain then they will do nice nice for us.
  7. i also think our flats got lots more beams than the usual flat. is it bcos ours are very tall blocks? that's why need more beams for better support and more stable structure? no doubt they are irritating. make our house look smaller than it is (already is).
  8. our design is not that bad... location no need to say. so overall, we still win!!
  9. i dun like this... if my contractor do this to me, i'll scream at him. but of cos my hubby wun allow me to do so.
  10. no leh... capentry will only come in next week. after that is kitchen top, final painting and then cleaning up. simpleboi, my reno order is like this: aircon-->screeding-->tiling and kitchen base-->electrical wiring-->1st coat painting-->lighting-->laminate floor-->capentry-->final painting dunno when henry will do chemical wash, think should be b4 capentry. and then hor, our toilets are very dark rite, so cannot see clearly without lights. after my toilet lights are up, i on it and got a shock!! the toilet wall tiles are so badly done!!! super duper uneven, some tiles protrude more than others. very disgusting.... but my hubby say never mind cos the mirror will hide most of them. so yucky rite???
  11. my reno not completed leh. will handover on 24th. furniture in on 25th so that i can move my boxes over on 26th. just nice for cny. i'm doing minimal renovation. now still very bare. but currently, i'm very pleased with my living ceiling fan. really liven up the ceiling, tho we din do any Lbox false ceiling. Zlia, not moving in for cny?
  12. hi neighbours! I should be moving in on 26th this month. anybody from 26C moving in soon? cos currently the blk is still quite empty hor... hope u guys faster faster move in.
  13. haha... i think it's still ok. they even have a tv in the HHS. quite lively...
  14. hiya, can i check something with the guys who are doing laminate flooring in bedrooms, particularly the MBR? is the cement screeding done to the toilet entrance kerb(drop) level? the flooring area underneath the toilet door, will u be laying laminate or toilet tile? my cement screeding is lower than the toilet entrance kerb(drop) level. so do i increase the screeding level or do i knock away the kerb(drop)?
  15. mmm... personally i will not go for it. i can't handle the HHS door well. difficult to open, difficult to close. however, if no other room is available, this idea may still be feasible. i've seen ppl who use their HHS as study.
  16. hehe... the current place i'm staying at now is also very noisy. sigh... my room window faces the carpark. those ground level carpark so u can imagine how noisy it is throughout the day!! taxis drive past, vans drive past, bikes voom past..... sometimes, some siao gin na will vooom voooom their bikes just downstairs for hrs in the middle of the night. i wonder how come no one call police... on weekends, it's the usual endless karung guni. got so many ku po zua and sa kor to collect meh???
  17. that's a nice kerb! your id demolish the original kerb and re-construct rite? is the gate trimmed? cannot tell leh...
  18. we're not doing the kerb. prefer the ground to be level. they say it will help to block out dust and dirt when HDB is washing the floor. maybe on every "that day" of the month, we'll line a rug across the entrance to act as the kerb bah.
  19. is it possible to protect the laminates first before removal? like how we protect our flooring....
  20. i dunno abt other people but the people who cycle in my neighbourhood are mostly aunties who are going to market or going to school to fetch their children. at other times, there are children/teenagers cycling ard the neighbourhood. i always give way to them. i cannot imagine an auntie cycling on the roadside with a kindergarten child sitting behind. if "ring ring" is deem as rude, then how abt "ring ring" follow by a "thank you"? dunno if i'm right, but i think the way the taxidriver drives also affect the severity of the accident, no doubt it's the cyclist at fault. at the end of the day, it's all about being responsible and considerate. even pesdestrains can piss me off, when one big group of them occupy the entire pavement taking their own sweet time to stroll, wanna overtake also cannot. and those people who smoke in sheltered walkways, i hate them most.
  21. keke... you can paste a card on the wall that says "Merry Xmas! Happy Anniversary! Happy valentines' Day!!"
  22. dunno if our hdb contractors are the same ppl. but i totally cannot communicate with these ppl. ===> UNCLES they are sooooo boorish... i never dare to talk the cement screed uncle anymore. cindy is really strong to scold uncles. he told me to give him my contractor's number. i gave him and asked when he'll call up (so that i can jiao1 dai4 to people wad). he just grumble boorishly "see first lah!!! i got so many jobs on my hand!!" machiam wanna kill me like that. sigh....
