  1. Ya... now my beautiful sofa starts to have little spots of stains... very sianz.. Well have to go and buy those leather conditioners to wash the sofa. Really cozy indeed you place...
  2. Hi rumi, Currently using the 403v. Well so far so good. Really like the fact that is very quiet. Well have not really checked the bills yet, so cannot really comment on the efficency of it. Well as for the water spilling all over, don;t really think its a problem cause both my wife and I are very tall (close to 1.8), and we don;t find its a problem, so I don't think it should be one to you. The only downside is that the freezer is not like the conventional one which have shelvings, which you can put additional ice makers in to make more ice. Well have not started buying any sort of veg for the fridge, so cannot comment for the veg. compartment part. Cheers
  3. Well the price of $2.7K is actually way back in Jan, when I started asking about aircon. And also, the configuration you had, no way you can get at $2.7, even for the 2 shops beside. And you must also consider other factors (e.g. the thickness of the insulation etc) before determining if your current price is worth it or not.
  4. Some explanation from the web: 1. Bicast leather (also known as bycast leather or PU leather) is a synthetic upholstery product consisting of a thick polyurethane layer applied to a leather or reconstituted leather substrate. It is commonly found in inexpensive furniture. Some manufacturers use the bycast treatment to process their leather, which provides a smooth, shiny finish as well as protection to the leather. Because bicast leather is fundamentally a man-made product, some jurisdictions (such as New Zealand and the United Kingdom) have ruled that it cannot be marketed as leather. ------------- Think some forumer did mentioned that you tend to get very hot easily with Bi-Cast leather than real leather. Well for me, except for the stickyness that find with real leather, other than that its very comfortable to sit on.
  5. Actually they clean also just follow motion. At the end of the day, you still have to clean it yourself, cause at the end of the day, its still your house after all.
  6. Is it the old uncle?? Couldn't remember his name...
  7. now my problem is getting bigger. cos i intend to do it on the feature wall. and my dad says that the feature wall is unable to support my 40inch sony lcd tv. he says it will fall out cos the feature wall is not strong enough to hold the tv. so he suggesting to put on top on the console. then it defeated my purpose of doing a tv feature wall. how how? should i drill on it (initially intended) or just put on top on console
  8. Wah.... your carpet doesn't look like the very flurry type, and yet its still so hard to maintain?? hmm.. might need to reconsider buying one...
  9. It will be a matter of time before we all get used to the sound... ^_^
  10. Haha.. think no use one.. now we are up against the defence force, so most likely the MP can do nothing. But I must say the noise level here are indeed very noisy, worse then my parents home at 800+.
  11. haha.. at least for me its way out of my budget... ^_^
  12. Ya... for carpet, the most difficult part is upkeeping it. Think will be looking around also for a throw to put on my sofa. At least your sofa is not pure white, unlike my where any form of stain can be clearly seen. So I have to often clean the sofa with the leather solution. Cheers
  13. Hi ene, Its very nice. Think your sofa is the same as my in terms of colour torn. Well don't think your sofa will get dirty like my, cause if talking about normal resting, it should not be a problem, but for my, as i also put my leg on the sofa, it will get dirty easily. Anyway, how much its your carpet? Thinking of getting one...
  14. Has any one tried mounting the LCD tv on the feature wall by yourself? I am wondering if there is any special skill need. i have the wall bracket and i have to mount it soon as i am moving in this month.
  15. Haha... same here.. Been living in Jurong all my life (Just JW alone is about close to 15 years). Well also good lah in a way cause near to my parents (just 3 bus-stop away) so not that bad lah for my case. So you moved in already? Well planning to end of this month. (Cause maybe can kebo drop by your house and take a peep!!) hehe.
  16. Hi Commando, The reason for the bad quality is because when they were making the place, heard that the contractors used PRC workers. So at least now the Ah Xiang and gang are from Malaysia, thats why their rectification work is much better (at least for my case). Actually the take up rate for Jurong area used to be one of the worse in Singapore (be it in good or bad times). So maybe this is also one of the reason why they wanted to make the flats premium so it appeals to us. (Well that is till don't know why suddenly there is a surge in demand for new flats) Well at least very happy to find that alot of non Jurong people choosing Jurong as their new home to be. Hope to have a chance to make friend with all of you here. Cheers...
  17. Actually like what you all said, the flats are completed in Oct 2001 (if you look at the floor plan being issued to you). I was initally put up for sale in think 2002, but the take up rate was **** low, so what HDB did was they chase out those who already bought the flats, seal up the whole place and then wait for "better times". This is also the same for the flats for 900+. (Actually those flats are finished during the SARS period). Then before HDB released to us, they actually engaged some contractor to do up the interior of the flats (thats why its premimum). Think one of the uncle did told me that it toke like 3 different contractors to finish the interior of our house. Cheers...
  18. Hi Lin & L3x, Very nice and expensive (think saw on the papers the price, I was like wow!!!) table you got there. Anyway also just purchased a coffee table and would like to share. Cheers
  19. Wah... So many ppl living in 676A. Haha... Wonder when can have a house visiting?? ^_^ Cheers
  20. Hi kellempxt, Currently I am using the new Fujitsu aircon sys 3. Well not too sure where you heard if from, but what I know is that the aircons are made in Thailand, and not China. Anyway when you consider the price, think you need to clarify things like: 1. What are the insulation being used and how thick(think for the case of Gain, its Armaflex 3/8".) So in an event where you want to get better insulation, (i.e. 1/2") then you will need to fork out roughly about 200+. 2. And also is 9k fancoil sufficent for your MBR? In an event where its not enough (like my), you will need to increase to 12k (for my case i top up about close to 100). 3. You will also need to clarify with them if there is any max. length in which the piping will run before they will charge you again. (For my case its 15m, but luckily I did not exceed). Think you just call back and clarify about this, then you can consider asking if its really worth the price. Cheers
  21. Hi All, Think I also have the same experience with Nova. Went there think last year Dec we were looking at their sofa. There was this guy (well actually not very beng) then he showed us the around. Well initially he was very friendly, but then when we were about to leave the place and we just told him we will consider, then he suddenly like changed a different person. He wasn't really very hostile, but just like become very fustrated. He keep saying he have not closed a single deal today (well it was about 3-4pm) then he kept pastering us to buy from him. Well I was very persistant and said we will consider, then he just say they will open till late and then we just left. Really hate their way of handling customer, and i swear I will never go back there ever again. Cheers.
  22. Hi, You can refer to the following link to see where the new stadium is. http://www.mylifestylemap.com/index.php?op...1&Itemid=34 Hi, Seems like the link not working properly. Well you just just type "Jurong West Street 93" @ the textbox and you will see the new stadium. Cheers.
  23. Hi mud3210, Actually this is the first time I ever heard that when handover, you need to paint/conceal the in-perfect parts of the false ceiling. I think you should chase the contractor/ID to properly do up the false ceiling. Last time when I asked the HDB to rectify part of the house which includes the hacking part of the house which conceals the pipes (something like the false ceiling), they really did a proper job of making the thing smooth and repainting the whole thing. Cheers.
  24. Hi ene, I believe you are talking about the Panasonic 403v fridge. Well just got my yesterday and so far so good. The fridge is very quiet. Not a bad choice if you ask my option. Cheers
