Thanks for the advice, which brand is good in plasma?
-
Thanks, having headache now. The current LCD tv almost up lorry, will cut off after viewing for 3 hours or so must let it rest, catch it breath first for 2 hours before turning back on. Check with dealer, was quote 380 carry in some more. So i rather buy a new one.

Bro, i take it as Plasma TV consume more power than LCD/LED, roughly how much more? 10%? 20%....? Cos my mun watch TV 6 hours daily. that's her job now. My viewing distance is 15 ft, at the moment my LCD TV is only 37" and frankly my family is not comfortable of this size at this distance, manytimes we found ourselves moving closer to the TV leaving the sofa empty. What's the recommended size? Was told 50" up.

how big is your living room? My viewing distance is 15ft, i have no choice but to buy 50" and above. Or alternatively, move my sofa forward but dam ugly.

Bro, can point to your earlier post? I'm looking at LED now. Short listed samsung and philips, was told philips has got full back panel led while samsung is only edge led. Google that philips one is better, any comments? I'm also open to other options. Low power consumption is my first consideration, next price as I have a drama(any) addict at home.

Recommend Good Vaccum Cleaner
chronograph replied to chronograph's topic in Electronics & Electricals
Finance minister said the VC is used most of time by helper, so need not get too fantastic one, so ended up getting bosch with 2 years warranty. -
Do u have singpass? 1) U can log in into CPF using your singpass and check the amount of $(including interest) used for your HDB. This amount will be back to CPF account should your sell. 2) If your loan is with HDB, then using singpass log in to HDB and check the outstanding loan of your 3 room. Assuming you sell at 250k, you will probably get: 250k - (1) -(2) - (4x12x175)(cash part for monthly installment) - fee(lawyer fee, stamp fee, agent fee etc) = $ If u have make initial down payment using cash, then u have to minus above with down payment as well. That's your profit.

Buying Recess Area
chronograph replied to pinkpetter's topic in Housing Rules, Policies and Procedures
Your stupid agent, is he new? You have to check with HDB, buy the recess area and unit at the same time. All these have to be done within the bank loan that u have signed, there should be a 3 to 6 months holding period of your loan and if not utilised u have to pay penatly. PLease go thru u bank loan agreement. I'm asuming u buy only, so the most u need it to get the above done and postphoned your appointment. If buy & sell, bigger headache. -

That's easy. The sales of the house requires the wife only. Everything goes to the wife. You know, HDB website allows u to change the occupant to the house, just a simple click away and wife can get husband off the list. Although Malaysia marriage cert is not recognized by Singapore gov, they have after all live & behave like husband & wife for so many years, so should be legal Husband & wife. AS for housing, I think husband will not get anything. Please check with the lawyer. Can ask wife to check with registrar of marriage what's her status? Is it "Married" or "Single"? One way to deal with people like him must go in hard and tough. Get him off the occupant list, change lock and chase him out. It will be a scene, police will come but this is family matter so police can't help.

Help! Hdb Defects- Resale
chronograph replied to jamora's topic in Housing Rules, Policies and Procedures
I think TS is referring to the damage laminate flooring is the cause of water sipping from outside due to cracks, so is HDB going to compensate him. I also want to know. -
This kind of husband should divorce him right away. Any history of physical abuse reported, if yes it will be easy to get a home protection order against the husband. Otherwise must prove the abusive behavior of husband. The husband is also the owner of the house so asking him to leave will be a problem, the only way is for the wife & children to move out. Can get a restriction order but it will be difficult cos need to prove that the husband is a threat to the wife and children. Make yourself invisible, sell your house, change phone number etc. If children still schooling, then it will be a troublesome to change school. What u mentioned should not be a problem. Singapore law protects women more in divorce case unless proven otherwise it is wife's fault. But still better to speak to a lawyer. The husband is one of the owner right then he is entitled to his share of the property. The sales proceeds should go back to both CPFs, as for the profit, most likely the majority should go to wife. But still better to speak to a lawyer. Born in Singapore with Singapore BC is automatic a Singaporean. The children are not born in Singapore?

Item Missing During Renovation
chronograph replied to DavFong's topic in Housing Rules, Policies and Procedures
If possible, get your ID to complete work for one bed room. This bed room will be used to store all your stuffs, make sure that u keep it locked. As for me, i will choose to delay the delivery until work completion. Cos even with stuffs locked in a room, it can be broken and getting police to investigate takes a long time and even if able to catch the thieves u still lose parting your stuffs forever. -
Agent Asked Us To Leave The Flat!
chronograph replied to ordolla's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
IMO, if the agent can get the right buyer to pay for the amount seller asked for or even more then i felt the fee is justified. I will be glad for eg, val=500k, u wanted 50k cash, but agent managed to sell more than 550k. As for the agent mentioned here, he only has his own interest at heart. -
Any Good/cheap Lawyer Office To Recommend?
chronograph replied to evo5555's topic in Housing Rules, Policies and Procedures
Hum,.... i was there cos i choose to be there. As for the document, i can't remember already. A lot of documents asked to sign by HDB officer as well. Get a lawyer to do everything for u... anyway fees can be paid thru cpf. Think about how much can u save and how much trouble u need to get yourself in? -

- There is no proof of u writing those statement in ST, plain guessing only - Have to engage lawyer to force ST into providing your information. Besides, how much infor ST have on you? In the end still have to engage service provider( your ip address ) to hunt u down. - And what u have posted is the true, consumer should have rights to speak also. Take it as a lesson learnt. If i ever want a cleaning service i know who to aviod. Have u not thought of what if your posting is being read here in RT? Will you be intimidated into removing your posting?

We have a joint account. My wife make monthly contribution to it and i only make yearly depending on my bonus payout. We tried not to withdraw from joint account unless big ticket stuffs like housing, reno etc. I'm the one taking care of regular items, eg. phone bills, broadband bills, power bills, car instalment, petrol, maid, school fees etc and sometimes groceries as well. Wife takes care of groceries mainly.
