I also got hansgrohe for all my shower and basin except for my kitchen sink. but the difference is really huge. the hansgrohe sets water flow are very smooth as compared to the kitchen sink china brand tap. the water actually will spray out of the sink and splash onto you. am tinking of changing that to the hansgrohe now. it's really "yi fen qian, yi fen huo".

For the first few years, the original non branded taps provided by the developer worked fine, then the leaking started. Like most people, we went to "ssc" to get replacements. After a few months, also started leaking, went back to them, they were nice enough to replace free but that did not last too, again the leaking started. It felt like we were going back n forth every 6 months or so.

Got too tired and invested in Grohe, for the last 7 years now, i don't recall any problems with it. Yes, i definitely agree with Shearer9 its "yi fen qian, yi fen huo". Hence, this time when we were renovating our new place, we decided in digging deep into our pockets and pay for the same quality stuff.

On the flipside, i've also have friends who were lucky enough with those el-cheapo stuff that lasted them forever without any problems.

If you are hardworking, go find a shop along Balestier that sells Hansgrohe cheap if you buy their packages (which is actually pasted on posters outside their shop). But i do find that if you buy individual items from them, they are about the same price range as those nice bathroom boutiques.

I am thinking of getting all my bathroom accessories from Lite Fusion which carries mostly Singapore brand products. I want to support Singapore industry and at the same time, is concern about horror stories of leaking problem from taps, etc... I used kacham puteh brand taps before. I am okay with the feel of how it works, but after 2 years they all started leaking. Very jialat and it was quite painful to deal with such situations.

Any advice?

think you have answered your own question.

Likewise, I've invested in Hansgrophe/ Grohe items.

The Hansgrohe dealers from Bertz & Co at Park Mall weren't pushy and were pretty friendly. I enjoyed my shopping experience there. However I purchased my items from AOS Bathroom Specialist eventually.

FYI: was infomred that the hansgrophe 25% off deals ends by GSS, July 25th.

cheers
