How much did you pay for it at Lush Lush?

My Blu-Ray haul:

5567523478_564decea1a.jpg

i do not have my thumb drive with me now but if memory doesnt fail me, i would think is 500+ after a 30% discount?

consider i watched all the above and believe you're as much as a movie buff like me, it seems rude you never have a Matrix Trilogy in blue-ray.

sorry jus a freak ardent fan of Matrix here. ha

LOL! So is CutieCat - we're all worrywarts and perfectionists - but that's exactly why you love your wife right?! :P
My wife is also a Virgo.

I read that Virgos are quite critical of life. Unfortunately my wife often tells me I am her life...... I thought she was being romantic :P. :D

lol, We "virgos" just take life in a more serious way. Actually, we are very nice ppl to connect with!
My husband has a love/hate relationship with the Virgo - he loves how I'm so detail-oriented and organised with an almost eidetic memory, but hates how it always bites him in his butt! The steel-like determination is quite intimidating, but motivating for him. He loves my goofy side more though :) I'm so terribly childish when I'm not being "serious" or "critical". Like Aristotle said, excellence becomes a habit, no? :P

Btw, ne0, we're not "irritating" - we just know EXACTLY what we want, yet know how to laugh with abandon :P

gee, i feel like i just had a good conversation with my wife already! hahaha

Rimblock... yr quote really had me in stitches man!

Ely1, i think yr hubby and i are quite sick. we share the same wife. hahahahha

CutieCat reminded me I never posted the mattress I bought, so here it is:

elizabeth_en.jpg

I'm a sucker for pillow-tops, so initially it was a choice between the Sealy Kingsbury or Serta Willow Spring, but laid on this, and felt like falling asleep.

bed wise, go with the one that resonates with you. that i-know-this-is-the-one feeling. no wrong!

Succumbed and got my towel rack tonight:

5568787074_b76878c10e.jpg

Will be using vPost because of the promo they have now.

nice design, 3 towels would be perfect to use on this but if more, i jus find the rods a tad too close together imho.

oooo.... make sure where u put your towels are well ventilated and yr towels are able to air dry. been to a few mates' place and their used towel draped inside the bathroom had quite a stench, if you know what i'm saying.

btw, wat's the promo now?

good currency rate to buy my vorando fan now but jus wondering if there are more discounts on the products come easter day in april.

what you think?

Haha! Wait till I stand on the soap-box. The husband just spaces out.

I agree! Despite all the Simmons' hype, I couldn't find a single one I like - Beautyrest or otherwise. The Serta is a close second but couldn't be bothered to return to Marina Square just to try the "feel" again. The Sealy was a major let-down after comparing the Dunlopillo (they were both at the fair) - was comfy but didn't have the "ensconced" feeling I wanted. I like the sinking in feeling and being cushioned by softness!

Now imagine it with down feather quilts and Dream pillows and 828TC Egpytian Cotton sheets, with a fur throw at your feet. Mmm. *happy place*

vPost promos: http://www.vpost.com.sg/promo/promocodes.html

I deliberately set up a new account to qualify for the "new members" discounts keke. Now they're charging all UK shipment by weight only, so I thought it best to grab the towel rails now. It's about US$76. Thankfully, only 2 towels will be used :P I chose it because it allows the spacious draping of two towels, and I change all towels weekly (pets have a different set of towels and different bathroom). You know, Virgo, and all~

Is this not being reflected in the cost calculator ?

The vPost quote for a 25Kg amp is the same as the Borderlinx quote (S$380 odd).

Hmm odd, the price check was significantly different when I tried the Borderlinx calculator. It's the "Service Announcement" on the main page: https://www.vpost.com.sg/vpost/index1.jsp

I think it's the promo codes discounts are only applied after you enter the code during payment. Just key in 10% during the calculator to see the discounted rate for the normal promotions. I'm hoping my shipment makes it before the 31st!!

Ok, sorted it out. The volumetric weight is lower than the physical weight so both vPost and Borderlinx are quoting for physical weight hence the same cost (give or take specific discounts).

Finally found a cheap storage solution for all my accessories! As my vanity won't have much storage space *weep* (still deciding where to pots and bottles of lotion etc go?!), decided to buy these storage cases for my rings:

10004294_6_image.jpg

And a couple of rotating stands for my necklaces:

1J-2.jpg

Bracelets and cuffs will just go into a box - those are easy enough to sort through, it's the tangling necklaces that drives me nuts!

Thank gawd I don't have earrings!!

DAY 35

Chose laminates and paint last evening, and felt like world's most boring home-owner:

Picket white, Lilly White, Brilliant White, xxx White, xyz White, yyy White. Grr.

Piano Black, Piano White, Black glass, Tinted mirror, Clear mirror.

Black Galaxy, Imperial Black.

Sigh. zz

How did choosing black and white become another 4-hr gruelling session that hurt my head??

Aircon trunking has been rectified at an extra cost of $250~

Previously (which was gawd-awful and prevented us putting up our sliding doors):

Now it runs through the Master Bedroom wall, which we would conceal:

Roofting also looks good:

wow... didn't read here for a week or so... there is so much to catch up!

on your taps without hot water - it depends on how you wash your face? my parents place doesn't have hot water running to the taps, so during winter, we get warm water from the shower set (from storage heater) into plastic washing bowl and use that to wash face~ for washing hands, we just endure the coldness... LOL :D

Hi CutieCat,

Glad to know we have so much in common! Being a fellow Virgo, I'm sure you'd understand the pedantic control streak! Not to mention the perfectionistic trait! I'm glad we scheduled the ROM earlier, so we can concentrate on the reno process. We thought it would be best to stagger everything - but planning for the wedding in December is nerve-wrecking as well. We have everything on schedule (I think...) but the photography is set for July and no designs for the dress yet! Which bridal studio have you engaged, and where are you having your dinner? Congrats on your upcoming ROM! :)

another fellow virgo reporting... hahaha

Haha, another Virgo! Virgoans unite! :dancingqueen:

Not THAT much progress. We're still stuck with the electrical points, before carpentry is designed and fabricated, and painting. So far, we're on schedule though so no complaining. Haven't got any furniture or lightings yet :(

Not sure about the hot water - have decided not to think about it anymore. Especially since we're back in Singapore, the hot water won't affect us so much, if at all. I tend to brush my teeth and wash my face in the shower so that's okay (yes, that's why I take extra long in the shower hence my dedicated 50l water heater haha!). Have yet to change the mixers but I'm hoping to do it tomorrow, then a trip to the bridal studio to FINALLY see the first designs. My most dreaded moment is when he produces the measuring tape with a flourish!

Everything ordered has arrived really quickly so am quite happy with the purchases. Metal art, additional steel traps, pet bed!

Hmm, thanks for reminding me about Daiso - definitely a much-needed trip there - I know I'll end up with lots of crap. :D
