My ID did not do much 3D prespective and i also didn't insist..haha..such a accommodating owner right... haha... My mbr toilet....there is a bathtub..YES! The original doorway was enlarged and the bottom sealed up to put in the glass panel. Behind the mbr toilet, will be my walk-in pole system and the sink. The countertop and cabinets for the dry kitchen. Intend to put my winer chiller and bar frdige beneath the counter. THe wet kitchen. Decided not to do top cabinets...to save cost and cleaning efforts. Although I have a maid, she is not proactive in cleaning. The underside of the top cabinets in my current house are all donned in her cooking mess and she can simply ignore the mess...really give up ...so I decided to limit cabinets in the wet kitchen area...and everything will be in white, so that any mess will be easily spotted and she will have no excused not to clean!

The water could only be leaked through a pipe, and the pipe is either embedded in the wall or above the false ceiling below the slab or roof. So if the water is not dripping through the false ceiling, then it comes via the wall nearer to where it is ponding. You could turn off the valve supplying water to this section of the house and see if the ponding stops. The valve should be accessible via a false ceiling opening. (Take note that the pipe draining the air-cond's condensation could also the one leaking.) Once the culprit is identified, just replace the pipe. Good luck. Cheers!

I didn't think I would be posting any DIY projects in this blog now that work & housework take up most of my time, But recently, I completed a DIY project in RECORD TIME and I just have to write about it. It took me less than a minute to assemble some simple parts and about an hour to mount it on the wall. It would have taken a shorter time to mount if I had not been distracted by smses and the TV. The reason why I did this DIY project was because I needed a rack for toiletries near the basin in my MBR. I had a big problem searching for toiletries racks during Reno as most of the racks I saw were made of stainless steel and the designs were pretty standard. As I dislike stainless steel racks, I decided to leave some of my toiletries on the basin itself. But I soon discovered that there's always brown yucky dirt at the bottom of the bottles due to the water from the washing. So I had no choice but to start looking for toiletries rack again. I bought these plastic toiletries containers from a neighborhood shop but they kept sliding down my tiles. And they look so boring! photo.JPG by BachelorettePad, on Flickr In order not to waste these containers, I sifted through the odds and ends in my store room and found two items that gave me an idea! Within a minute, I came up with this: photo.JPG by BachelorettePad, on Flickr photo.JPG by BachelorettePad, on Flickr photo.JPG by BachelorettePad, on Flickr It matches what's on the opposite side photo.JPG by BachelorettePad, on Flickr What do you think?

yes. after wet works done. Basic electrical work done. Then it's painting first. Light installation. then remove out everything. chemical wash. then carpentry comes in. After that then is touch up of paint etc especially over places u spot defects or kana some plaster, silicone or what not. Makes sense mah, ceiling and most of the walls painted when cardboard still there and chemical wash not done yet.

HI! Welcome to the masionette club! I see so many similarities between the current condition of your place and mine! hahahahahhah did they use the same contractor back then? i'm really excited about following your progress especially since your reno process will start before mine (my first appt with HDB is tomorrow and expect to complete the process in Sept) Mind if I ask what your estimated budget for reno (excluding furnishing) is?

I like to thank pinkwhale and paloma for sharing their renov as well... helped us makes some informed decision about laminates. geometric prints was out of fashion for a while... but its making a comeback in the last couple of years... actually my common bathroom black hex mosiac + white grout looks a bit cartoon.... if i had to do it again I would use black grout.... would have look a bit more classy..... so please learn from my mistake....
