Lighting for the living, dining and kitchen, all the same except in sizes. All from Tmall and lighting known as Smithfield. 4 lights for RMB830, what more can one ask for? 3 sizes OD 60cm/48cm/35cm. Ceiling flushed or suspended. ID commented many prefer variation in living and dining lighting but failed to recognized that uniformity is actually also a design. Though not many are able to stomach it and find it boring but can be quite a sight if all blends well. Again, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. I prefer lighting to be simpler, mainly due to future cleaning convenient as well as changing of light bulbs. Some like chandelier lighting but do not clean them and loses the glitter over time, defeats having one in the first place though. Living and dining Kitchen (Not suspended)

Cables carry specifications. color/insulation material/cross section area/application/core/temperature....... 0.5mmsq carries 9A 1mmsq abt 19A...... Reality is always complex enough getting ppls to nowhere: The more I know, the less i understand. Don't burn the house ok liao. I engaged ID for major reno, but not aircon and electrical. I told ID my ideas and how reno items should look like. ID decides the materials. I chip-in for certain materials as well. I told aircon guy 'no join copper pipes' in the middle, I supervised. I told electrical guy what mm sizes of cable to use for different appliances. They delivered what told & I paid what I wanted. That's all.

Common toilet Our now messy bomb shelter with racking done That's about it...! Hope our reno blog has shed some light to fellow 3 roomers.. Wud like to add tat u need not fear of having less space to manipulate around etc.. Somehow the space is jus sufficient for our needs.. Not too much excess n definitely not teeny weeny cramped. U gotta plan out ur space n use of space n everything will fall in nicely. Guests actually commented our place looks like a HDB only til e doorway but once stepped in is like a 2 bedroom condo haha... So we believe a beautiful home can be created not jus out of 5rooms or bigger units but it's e quality n space planning of our home.. Space has never been sufficient for people, no matter how huge a house is, ppl still complain of insufficient space n not having enough. Thus let's be contented wit our smaller but no-lack-in-comparison 3 room homes!

Our washer n dryer stacked Passageway, n our bomb shelter door painted in dark grey chalkboard grey cos I didn't wanna use stark black which wud have made e passageway look dark n gloomy wit a sudden patch of black so got black+white chalkboard paint n got painter to mix to a dark grey... Turned out very well n blends wit our greyish themed living.. Success n e kids love it! Kids room with bunk bed with pull out unit n study area.. Pardon e darkness cudnt get a e right lighting MBR wardrobe area, also e first thing to see wen entering e room n view from passageway.. MBR bed area, with our King storage bed. We feared e whole place might look cluttered n cramped but upon completion it's actually well spaced n enough room for walking n movement. Actually none of e guests said a word tat e house is small or cramped.. Think tat was a success for us.. Space planning works! MBR toilet

Hi all, after a hectic phase of reno, shifting n throwing a housewarming party, we r finally settled down n thot I'll share some completed pics... Here u go.. Living / Dining View towards entrance, our completed pebble wash foyer area.. Kitchen (pardon the messiness) Other side of kitchen View from svc balcony Svc balcony laundry table side, got an ikea table to use as a misc/ laundry table so I can jus fold up my clothes there once they r out from the dryer.. Thankfully after all e scare of insufficient space n odd pipes tat may cause my dryer to stand alone at tis side of e svc balcony, we managed to pull thru our laundry table area haha

Update: Day 63 (as of 15th Apr) And so, flooring was done last Tuesday, but because we haven't install lights, so we can only pop over to see during daytime in the weekends! very fast, it's almost a week since... the floors are sooooo dusty that the pictures can't really justify how it looks in real. Mr Hojicha reminded me that someone asked for a close-up of the bricks, here it is.

Hi xiaohuiis, yes, there are different colours of craftbricks to pick from. In fact, there are different sizes of bricks too... if you go to Hafary/Soon Bee Huat/any tiles shop, you can take a look at them, I took a picture of the one I wanted, that's the white craftbricks to show to K, and he will know what to do. For some other contractors who never done brickwalls before, you may need to advise them on the gaps in between the bricks and gouting colour you prefer...

For people with back and shoulder problems, I really do recommend Tempur.

i got a quote from gain city. Mitsubishi invertor, compressor is 30k btu, then 3X 9k units for 3 rooms, and a 22k unit for the living area. Cost is $3.4k. is it cheap? TO be honest, im a noob when it comes to air con, onli noe when hot must on aircon onli lol. I wont be using more than 2 at 1 go, and in fact seldom would i even use 2 at a go. I looking at the invertor cuz i've been told it help you save up to 40% consumption bill. Is that right?
