Actually, when i brot this up to my hb, he was like disappointed but he din mention anything. Frankly speaking, i had my qualms about my ID but shall not go into detail now. After reno, i will give a review on her performance so that it will be open to all and i think its only fair that people interested to engage her have a fair share of what they are to expect from her. Now, i fully understand why the people who had engaged her cannot give her full 100% score. My hb even said that i am being difficult. However, i am the one footing the bill, shouldnt i be protecting my pockets? Anyway, shall not bore all wif my set of problems lah. I can only pray to Tee Gong, tolong tolong no major probs after all these saga. The mosiac idea i steal from some t-blogs actually. I want to create some great impression (hopefully) when we & our guests step into the house

Hi Takomi generally i would say the guys are ok lah except when i noticed the beam prob was abit too late. Sigh, juz hope everything will be fine. However, there are other aircon suppliers u can select like the one i mentioned to merryman. All the best to you!!!

Sharp & smart. There will be 2 layers of mosiac in btw the tiles. My only precious mosiac. My hb hates that but i insist to make the foyer more outstanding and less boring haha. So far our reno is rather smooth. Hopefully will stay so till HO. Next Wed, painting job and mth end, carpentry will be up. Cant wait.....

Actually i was puzzled why my ID did not ask her workers to hack the old box up when they were doing the hacking. She helped me to ask the Gaincity guy to hack but she said he refused. I was not around when she asked him, if not, i would have check wif my hb. BTW, i knew about it, the trunking was laid swee swee up there liao. I am more worried what if the old box up warped. However, we have asked our ID to plaster another layer and hopefully the box up will be able to withstand the new trunking.

Cove lights are nice and maintenance is siong. However, we really like the ambience created by cove. Luckily we will be staying @ the highest floor so no neighbours above us .

My hb forbid too many decals in the house and so most likely i will get for the shower areas & full height windows to hide the ugly aircon compressor . I am interested in those stools too. Will get 1 or 2 after i have moved in.

False ceiling done for bedroom 2: I do not pic for floor tiles laid in living, dining & cozy area but managed to snap one for the foyer using the same tiles: The hollow blocks for new main entrance almost done: The door frame for the main door arrived: Last pic for now. Leave aside the not so happy moments, i took the opportunity to snap a few pics of what had been completed so far: The naco windows for master & common bathrooms changed and i love the new windows now: Floor tiles & skirting for all bedrooms done & needless to say, i love them: Sorry not able to take more as most parts were laid wif protection sheets. Trunking from master bedroom across the beam to bedroom 2: Trunking for bedrooms 2 & 3 respectively: Lastly: The trunking from bedroom 2 to the compressor: Frankly speaking, the gaincity guys had a good life doing the trunking cos we did not deviate much from what our sellers did previously. Not much hacking need to be done and the holes for the trunking were readily available. However, things are not 100% as expected, the beam across the bedrooms was boxed up and they refused to hack away saying will cause some problems and now the new aircon trunking rest on the box-up. Now abit worried there might be probs few years down the road, sigh !!

A bit of updates on the installation of aircon trunking done yesterday. Thanks to cannotisit & forkie for their valuable sharing, i did a check on the materials b4 the Gaincity guys started their work. I asked 1 of them wat mat did they bring & i tallied wif my invoice to ensure its the correct material & yes the materials were new & shiny The aircon compressor will sit juz outside the full height windows and the trunking were laid as such Trunking in master bedroom: The trunking in master bedroom continued with water pipes:

Hi we will be moving to Lor 8 TPY next month, the nearest primary school is First Toa Payoh Primary. We intend to send our kid there 4 years down the road as its within walking distance. We dun really believe in good school cos we know that neighbourhood school oso can produce scholars. To us, as long as our kid can do well on his own, anywhere will be the same. Of course, parental guidance is important.

Hi Cannotisit thanks for asking. Oh i 4got to mention, we have paid for 2-time installation, so 2day they only laid the trunking and piping. Hmm, overall i am quite satisfied but muz let my hb see 1st. But i think the trunking is neat enuff. Will upload pics asap.

It depends on which ID & contractors lor. My most exp quotes were $20k more than my lowest.
