  1. Storm... paiseh... me busy whole day now then I see. Hmm when a partition or a hollow block is built to join any original one... will surely crack after a bit of time. My dad (who used to do this sort of thing) says its expected.. he say.. should wait until it cracks (so that the inside has settled) then scrap off the protuding bits and plaster the crack away. Which is why I didn't ask Uncle to rectify my bro's room yet. Uncle will rectify it later. That's according to my dad la. lalallala
  2. mm will box up too so that there won't be dust. And extra storage is always a nice thing. haha Best if there's no top-up. heheheh
  3. hehe thanks. YA I'm surprised that it now makes it look cosier. I didn't think it would make much diff. ya. I think I'm taller than BD already. HAIZ. Yup a nice difference really. My parents commented that it's cooler in the morning now! I'm so so so glad that the 3-tone worked out! My sis and I were really thinking it through that day and took really long just to decide on ONE set of blinds.
  4. the backsplash turned out quite well in the end! That was a good solution to turn the problem into a design instead!
  5. Wah tall lor. so good. hehe HUH no pictures to see then??
  6. Sav $$ is good!! I really love your MBR toilet... the more I look at it...
  7. mmm but how far can it be from the tiles?... at most another few cm.. the tiles will still get heat ah. I'm thinking that it's easier for people to cook ba... ease of cooking... mm
  8. it's Laminate. mm there'll be scratches and stuff (though these days they tell you it's scratch resistant). Parquet will also be scratched but it can be polished to almost new (which explains why it's more expensive) Harder to get scratches on tiles than laminate. And if you have pets then I guess better not get lamiinate cos water will destroy it... like parquet. It's cheaper though.
  9. ALAMAK I've been so irregular in the forum that I just realised your house is done! *SWEE*!! especially now with all the curtains in and the little decorative stuff. I love that bookshelf too
  10. WAH PD so tall!! so nice... long legs! How tall is BD?? *kaypoh* Nice to see your house coming together!
  11. Your feature wall are really bricks ah? black grout?
  12. thanks. Jimmy textile had a mock-up of the three-tones in their shop but theirs was white, cream and khaki. We decided to have the darker brown below to match our sofa. It was much cooler without the sun shining in all the time.
  13. Wah the moment I woke up this morning I went out to buy drinks for the people who were coming to fix the blinds. I also had to move my bunny out of her space.. and THAT was really tiring since I don't catch her from her playpen (it's a strict rule in my house that no one is suppose to touch her when she's inside..) So we had to wait for her to come out... When she did, I placed her in her carrier and started the move. it was Super tiring and took me an hour just to move her stuff... finally managed to move her out.. This is what the place looked like before... And this is what it looks like after. closeup Can turn the pieces up and down and can move the whole thing up and down. And despite the relatively strong winds today it didn't swing and hit anything so it's quite good. I'm so glad we picked three-tones instead of a boring one-tone white which was what my dad wanted. hahah he got vetoed this time!!!
  14. Quite soothing... nice. but the shoe cabinet.. why is one suspended? mm will it be able to tahan all the weight?
  15. mm I like the idea of having the passageway behind the tv... so that the people walking needn't block the ones watching.. I was thinking.. could you have something less bulky though, so as to not divide the space so much... maybe have a few pillars acting like the console? hehe I was thinking of having glass with a slim panel in the middle for mounting the tv at first. hehe
  16. YAY *high five* another one who shopped for all these using public transport.. ultra tiring hor. I was so tired at the end of each day I just KO... Good that you settled so many things!!!
  17. ya.. it's taking so long that the bank (who was slow in the first place) is starting to hound my lawyer for the new mortgage! *shakes head* Will post photos tmr!!
  18. Roger that! Tomorrow will email and call. Tomorrow the guys from Jimmy textiles are coming to put up the blinds at the balcony windows! So happy!!!!
