haha I love your kitchen idea! you just have to measure the space properly so that you can be sure there's enough walking space to the bathroom. But it's a fantastic idea. If normally it's just the two of you you might want to consider having a extendable table instead. So normally you have a 3-seater and when you have guests you extend it. Then it wouldn't block your fridge too much I love that sofa!! No red for you? What about cream?

Jamie you have plenty of time to plan.. dun worry. Actually I wanted to plan something like your first design...... But a complete feature wall might "cut" your nice spacious living room. So what you can choose to do is have a glass/frosted glass wall (which is more ex) or a squarish pillar to suspend your TV on. AND then you can put your dining just behind that space. I think Sept will be good for Uncle. You finish planning and give him a call during ghost month la. I think he will be free then. LOL

EH? herb garden?? I think at VERY MOST... a few hanging plants which just requires some spraying every day. ahhaha not so ambitious. My dad will definitely like the fishtank idea... my mom and sis will strongly object.. and I'll be the bad person to tell dad. NO NO NO. lol You know... my parents always think it's good to have fishes in the house. I never thought too much of them. Then there was one time, when my parents and sis went for a vacation and my bro and I were home. One morning, I found ALL the fish in my dad's tank dead. All 7 of them were dead, despite being very healthy the night before. That was the same night, mom experienced mysterious knockings on her hotel room door the whole night, when there wasn't anyone out there. mm they believe that fish die to ward off dangers..

Hi Adrian! haha Not really gotten it yet but they will begin processing it this week after Uncle Soon's man drops by at 11am later. He's going to go through some forms and plans with me before helping me submit things later. We're actually two weeks late (deadline was end of April) but I managed to buy time from the HDB officer. haha I seriously doubt we're going to get plants... cos my parents don't really have green fingers... but the cabinets and the space to put my dad's bicycle is really appreciated. Did you see the clothes hanging thing above? I'm going to put that in a cabinet in the recess.

I'm upset. Yesterday copy and pasted your quote and commented one everything... item by item.. and then... I lost internet connection! I agree with Ivy. I think for all the feature walls they are really expensive. They must be very special to justify that kind of price. If it's just plain old laminate and wallpaper then I think they aren't worth it. As for the carpentry cos you have some frills here and there, the coloured laminated insides and the BLUM. So it'll cost a little more than usual but it seems ok. See if you can get FOC on some of the small items like installation on accessories and stuff.. it'll save you a lot for both toilets. Your quote does not include electrical.. and that'll cost you another 1-2k.
