i hope everything will settle for u nicely soon! hey, the cleaning part, i used the splashing method in the kitchen/balcony...2 most dusty areas and washed them a few times b4 i clean the hall. it helps and just one week, no more powdery feel already...in fact after 3 days, no more powdery feel...and the detergent I used also helps i guess! i posted the picture of my door!

Ivy's right! I use carbonite. It is dark grey... so far no complaints. I have not been wiping it for a week already!!! but it still looks good! Mom is particular about seeing fingerprints and dust...but dust is obvious on dark surfaces, I think it's time i start cleaning it today! else we'll see a layer of dust soon!

u will like your granite top! really worth to top up about the door, hmm...i also thought we can hack and make a bigger one if u bought over the recess... I should think can bah...since ours are both corner unit kitchen looks more complete with that. actually a white solid top will stand out even better! the mosaic, they came and touch up le...but didn't finish the job cos uncle was late in delivering the mosaics, so they will come again this saturday.

I went for undermount after much deliberation. As we bought Franke sink, a better make, I am sure this last! My mom used a cheap sink in the old house for 15 years and still good too...that is why I decided to go for undermount! u can see it when u pop by and if you want, can also design one like that! As we added the profile of the granite top, we top up quite a bit too...so the cutting and all were done by the professionals in their factory. Worth the price we paid for!

Ok...updates for delivery from La cafa. The logistics person called and say my chairs arriving only next wednesday. No apology from them for the delay at all! Service lousy as usual! as i am going into the lift and the signal is bad, didn't argue... HN, no calls, no sound no picture...will call them again this evening and bug them! Super sianz... On Uncle's side, I have to say that he really tried his best for me on the rectifications. Some miscomm to his workers, but end of the day, most things were done. I paid my VO, the amount is much lesser than my expectations as i added many things...mostly small things he says it's ok. But still a cost...so I told him don't like that...I will buy him kopi another day. small hiccups in the reno, overall am still a satisfied customer of Uncle if you ask me Aubrey, I owe u my main door pics, I know...and I remember...really been busy and the packing is like 85% completed all thanks to my dear Mommy who really helped me ease my load heaps! Will try and upload some stuff when I can...especially live in pictures and the transformation of the house
