  1. wow! ex-neighbour posting! haha u must have known them quite well... we made them pretty rich, by buying over the unit when did u shift out? and how did u tahan the sun in the afternoons??? if we're @ home, windows r closed 80%, blinds all down... makes the place super duper dark. its good to hear fm an ex-neighbour tho, kekeke
  2. hey kopi - ID told us the blum + labour is $370. seems blum dun really sell direct to individual customers... could be wrong tho. now @ a crossroads man.
  3. hey greenfish, last payment was collected after overall works had been completed, and the house was in a move-in condition, apart fm the minor works here n there. glad to say we got the shower screen replaced last weekend already. the guys who came to replace it were different from the one who kept postponing initially. we managed to pester them until they agreed to come in the morning, haha. and they were pretty friendly and nice.
  4. love the dividers for the cutlery stuff. can it be inserted into normal drawers? if can, might wanna do it. seems so much more sleek
  5. u can try 138 movers - we got them after comparing a few quotes - they were the cheapest. next was shalom, but they were not available on the day we wanted to move. the guys fm 138 movers dismantled and assembled a super difficult platform bed for us - that took them quite long, but heng they didn't complain some of the forum pp used them too. contact is 62520102. i think its their main line. good luck with the move!
  6. 2 weeks have passed since the handover. our wrought iron gate has been repainted because the paint came off, which we are satisfied with. however, we have not heard anything about our carpentry rectification - does such a simple rectification require 2 weeks to get back to us with the info? each time we sms him, all we get is "ok, tks", or "will get back to u later" - seems like he is hoping that we will conveniently forget about the matter. we only either get such short and pointless replies, else totally no replies. our scratched shower screen has not been changed too. ID told us that the guy would see if the scratches could be sanded off; after the guy checked, he said no, he would replace the shower screen the following week; when we called the shower screen guy to confirm the appt; he said he had to do some CONDO stuff, so he would not be able to replace our screen @ the agreed timing. SO... condo biz is so much more impt than a hdb then... that was REALLY infuriating! till now, we have heard nothing. seems these people are just pushing the matter off - delaying, postponing. are they all the same once full payment has been made? this is really disappointing. we have given up sms-ing - have sent email stating the outstanding items - if there is still no response.... anyone knows who else we can bring the issues up to apart from our ID? cos we checked our emails - quite a few outstanding items from emails a month ago also not acted on yet. haizzzzz
  7. yup, we have shifted in. actually we have not spoken to the ID @ all since the HO, neither has he called us; all that has transpired have been smses, with silly replies from him. patience has finally worn thin. we were initially still able to tolerate, till the nonsense fm his sub-con. thanks for the compliments on the house; we like to credit ourselves on that tho, haha. cos the furniture; colour coordination of the soft furnishings were all our own ideas - no input fm the ID @ all - either he isn't too inclined towards such a theme, or just bochup? anyway, we share the same sentiments as ur fren, prodigor.
  8. its very impt to have good after-sales service... thumbs up to you for having a good ID. we r beginning to get cheesed off by our ID - still many outstanding stuff, and response takes forever. TERRIBLE AFTER-SALES SERVICE!
  9. sofa pics our sofa cushions have arrived! great and prompt service by our cushion provider - found their pricing very reasonable too - decided on them after comparing 3 quotes - not that many, but guess its enough to have a gauge of the pricing indications. its been a long journey with much happiness as well as upsets, and of course the beginning of another brand new stage in life! cheers! overview of living room sitting area another view of living room single seaters 3-seater
  10. thank you we hope the effect will be better after including soft furnishings

  13. hi christy, it actually came FOC fm serta when we bought the mattress fm them - initially had nowhere to put it; so we just thot of trying it out in the wardrobe area... surprisingly looks OK; tho it compromises the walking space in there
  14. our first meal in our new place lovingly prepared by the hubby, greatly appreciated by the wife, haha

  17. move in hello people, we have "officially" shifted in over the long weekend, but its a mess everywhere. no idea how to start cleaning and packing up. jialat our cushions for the sofa will be arriving later today... something to look forward to! in the meantime, current pics of how the house looks now will post pics when the cushions r up too... hehe foyer foyer/kitchen entrance main gate/kitchen glass panelling living room
  18. hi joseph, same as us... almost direct west only saving grace is that when there is not much sun, its pretty windy. we installed solar film fm 3M - prestige range just for the west-facing windows - there is still sunlight coming in, of course - tt part bobian. but heat reduction is effective. not 100%, but there is a distinct difference
  19. living room looks cosy have u and ur family moved in? we can fully understand ur gripe about the renovators taking their own sweet time with the last bits of remaining work... same case with us. they r taking forever to come back to us with even a simple thing, grrrr
  20. wedding is of course most impt than glass! haha must look pretty and all for wedding... must be super bz now, doing fittings, settling all the logistics and finalizing guest list for the dinner. i know tt is one part i will not miss. the dinner co-ordination was a nightmare. in retrospect, quite a blessing wedding and house din come @ the same time for us - can concentrate on one thing @ a time. anyway, we got the glass fm sun sun glass - read and got the contact fm a post of supersimon's - call them @ 62833126 after ur wedding. hope everything goes well n smoothly be a pretty bride
  21. so i guess carpentry n stuff r finished too? good for u! where r the 2 of u putting up now? must be excited to be able to move back. looking forward to seeing pics of the completed place!
  22. hey quix, is ur reno complete? are the results to ur satisfaction? do post pics of ur house up... am sure lots of pp are waiting to see them. urs truly included
  23. hey coke, we did go ahead with 138 movers after all bulky stuff shifted last nite... one of the bedframes took them quite long, cos of the screws and stuff; by the time they managed to dismantle, move, assemble, it was 10 plus @ nite; quite happy with their service. point noted about coke for u, the wife was quite amazed that u have only coke in ur fridge tho...hah, will stock up in the fridge, and invite u over again when we r settled in
  24. hey jesslyn, have been following the progress of ur reno and your 被放飞机 experiences with uncle soon. i must say you have been very patient and tolerant with him for all the trauma he has caused you. granted, we can be nice to our contractors and give them leeway in work progress as they have many projects on hand. but when such no-shows and fly aeroplane become a regular thing, its time to put your foot down and let uncle soon know that he is accountable to you, his customer. do be firm with him, and emphasise to him that you need work to progress, and you need him to be responsible to you. 加油,祝你往后的装修会顺利!
