Nice coffee table... with storage somemore...very practical.... considered the coffee table when I went to Mode...but they do not have the square version...so I bought a similar sq version from Courts with storage but no black glass...

actually quite true...before doing this reno work for my hse....I have nv noticed these black lines in the shops in shopping centres. but now everywhere i go, my attention is naturally drawn to the edges of the carpentry works and mentally, I will give ratings for the workmanship like "thin lines, very good!" or "obvious thick lines, lousy workmanship"...

now my half completed TV console.... Ivy, no black lines....but can see joint lines...at least not thick and black...

went up just now and took photos of my WIW in the dark...dunno why no light in the MBR....hehe suppose to have one more drawer, which is a pigeon hole for belts on top...dunno why not there, gonna call ID tml morning...

hehe....another photo of the dining table.... bought it during AIR Broadcast 09 a few weeks ago....i think got 25% or 30% discount....ard $2,200.

Table is from Air Division....white marble table...thus bought the anthracite coloured chairs to match.... yeah...a bit on the high side, even though managed to get some discount....but thanks! at least u nv say ugly, or i faint liaoz...haha

Dining chairs are finally gaotim-ed at XZQT today...bought the Punk Chair in Anthracite colour ...er...basically greyish colour...haha

I promise that i will will post the pics up once the carpentry are up! *soon pah*....i saw black lines on one part of my kitchen carpentry...will post it up too...also took photos of my book shelf (previous owner's) with the brown lines but i haven try the white marker pen which i saw in home-fix...once i try, i show u the effect.. anyway, i also cant wait to see my carpentry faster go up and the acid wash of the toilets done, so tat i can take nice photos and share here...

Hi Ivy, I went up to my place today and saw the tv console (on the floor, not fixed up yet)...and the solid core laminate is really good! no black lines ... thanks for ur advise earlier on ....once the console is up, I promise I will take photos and post on my blog (hehe, i know my blog have been pretty dormant)...

try Mr Muscle....used it to remove cigarettes burnt stains on my homo tiles....good as new ...

I also used this tiles...for my Master bedroom toilet good choice by all

hope u have recovered dude!...and alamak, i will be in the States from 10 to 16 Aug...then 3 days off from 17 to 19 Aug...hopefully my hse completed by then too... alamak, cant see ur console... cant possibly change date for me right?? just have to see your photos loh the materials have, luckily...i think there are always many miscommunications between ID, carpenter and customers and sub-contractors....so the road always not smooth...but nvm lah...take one thing at a time...anyway, hope ur open hse its a big success

no worries i asked my ID abt the console height today and told her of my online conversation with you regarding this topic. She said that 60cm for console height was the norm for yesteryears (with no evil tones in her voice of cos). She said nowadays tv consoles are kept low for the contemporary factor (which we kinda guessed yesterday). And i received a flyer from Harvey Norman advertising thier Italian sofas, dining tables and tv consoles and the max height is 45 cm! ...so even my console with a height of 49cm is pretty non-italian... anyway, hope all goes well with your carpentry...

okies....its looks more matte than gloss to me...so i guess shld be stardust grey...thanks again...maybe i will try calling legrand again later

reiki, I called legrand today to enquire abt the colour code for silver Mallia series...but i think my voice not sexy enuff, the Indian fellow, after putting me on hold for a few mins, told me that he do not have the code and that they dun provide or something to that extent...can i trouble you (*thick-skinned* ) to check with ur ID? i checked with the Choo Chiang salesguy and he also dun have the code....

hihi...initially when i received the detailed drawings, i tot my console design is very low too and felt uncomfortable....and so when i went home, i went to my bro's room which has an Ikea low tv console and its console top is around 45 cm high....so i think should be ok... maybe this is the so-called contemporary bah...but i more into practicality... and so to clear my doubt, i went to Massimmo's website just now and their consoles are 50cm high....so i guess its really contemporary factor...so i think 55 cm, shld be fine as for coffee table, i shld be getting one from Courts which we saw on sat at 50% off for the Mega Raya sale...chairs wise, hehe, gonna get the FUNK chairs from XZQT...but thanks for the recommendations though. we went to sugei kadut a few weeks back and IMM today, but none caught our eyes.. oh ya, one thing u can discuss with ur wife...if console is high, then ur tv will be higher...and if ur sofa is low...u will be straining ur neck to look upwards and it will be worse if its the large LCD tv, and somewhere in CNETasia says tat it might cause giddiness...its quite similar to watching a movie in a big cinema hall at the front row or 3rd row..

hi kthc, we are doing a suspended tv console too and the height of the top of the console is 49 cm from floor, the bottom is 20 cm from the floor...
