  1. If you have ever stepped into a Taoist temple before, you will have noticed that there is in fact 满天神佛 on their altar. It's really no-holds-barred. 大伯公,法祖公,玄天上帝,三太子,关帝公。。just to name a few. Feel free to put as many deities as you like on the altar as long as you don't forget to make offerings to them.
  2. From the way you describe her modus operandi, I think you are talking about a particular master who operates at Waterloo. Her shop is opposite Guanyin Temple. Very popular for its 'overnight queues'.
  3. Mirrors reflect light and are placed for practicality and aesthetics. Do you go to the kitchen at night? Probably to get a drink or something? The dim light reflected can cast your shadow, making you think someone else is in the dining room.. Or what if you are in a disarray and you suddenly thought you saw a ghost when it's actually yourself.. Possibilities are endless. Not sure about you, but I sure won't want to scare myself in the middle of the night.
  4. How come you never mention about his WC2 being in the centre of the house?
  5. 屋向应以明堂为准. So says one of HK fengshui authors. But with all the irregular shapes that our flats have, it's kind of difficult to pinpoint, don't you think?
  6. Me too. I don't mind walking 5 mins from the main door to my bedroom. bwahahaha.
  7. My grandparents' bed and the "Guanyin" altar shared a common wall. Nothing ominous happened. Best part is: they had 8 children.
  8. Do post your feedback here after a few months. Thanks.
  9. Ehh.. is that a trick question? Cuz I'm not a Buddhist. Just happen to have friends who are. If they're ordained, I can't tell them apart. That's because they're all bald.
  10. I've spoken to practitioners of Tibetan Buddhism once. Nagas reside in watery abodes in our homes like fountains. They bestow prosperity if treated with respect. But if you are disrespectful to their environment, they'll retaliate by giving you "problems" like skin disease or in extreme cases - cancer. As this is highly religious in nature, I reiterate that I've no empirical evidence to substantiate these claims. Don't quote me, please. If I were you, I'd not create trouble for myself. Difficult to upkeep, breeding ground for mosquitoes, bla bla...
  11. My 2 cents: No Buddhist monk will profess that they practise fengshui, much less recommend you to buy FS ornaments. Highly suspicious...
  12. Wah. When I bought my 1st Floor unit, never considered all these. The only consideration was the space, the PES, the poolview etc.. but not the rubbish and the nosey parkers. Looks like I have to stay a few years and then let go liao.
  13. 礼多神不怪 For peace of mind, pray again lor.
  14. I think it'll TOP earlier than 2014, judging by the speed of their construction. Bro, 4th home liao.. is the excitement still there?
  15. I seem to have missed out a lot of action ah.. Bepgof, since when have you turned into Ah Chek??
  16. Amateurs like me sure cannot handle something as profound as this. Better spend some money and get peace of mind than to pick up the pieces later. The damage can be costly, and I don't mean financially. Happy CNY.
  17. I've been to one (shop) at the basement by the name of Tian Li. Very bad. Got him to do bazi reading and you know what.. he got my month wrong. I'm born in December, but becuz of the Jie/Qi during my birth-year, my month should be 'Zi'. He treated it as "Hai" and blabbered on. Talk about the prowess of the [basement]FSMs there..
  18. I don't know about you, but I reckon your intended action will definitely attract retaliation if you're pointing your bagua towards your neighbour's door. IMHO, better to have good neighbours than to "guard here guard there" in years to come.
  19. Bro, who is 太上? Pardon my ignorance. Don't read much Chinese text.
  20. With all due respect, you won't feel the pain if the knife doesn't cut through your flesh. It's fine if you don't believe, but please don't blatantly call it a scam.
  21. That's easy lah. They are all men! You're going to say: Good try!
  22. If you have the resources (money) to find a FSM to calculate a "perfect" time to go for caesarian, then I would say that you would also have the ability to see the child thru college and make sure he/she has a bright future. Yes. The child will have a very good life.
  23. I think it is 粗盐 ba. Can get from Fairprice or Giant.
  24. This is not unique to Christians. Taoist also have this belief. There are chosen ones, people with 仙骨, who are able to lend their bodies to Higher Beings to help the those in need.
