hi blue diamond, my current unit, the toilet is back to back, the mixer as well. but my plumber can fix the hot and cold piping according to the Hot and Cold indication on the mixer. Perhaps theres more work to be done...?

hello ourwhiteresidence can share the brand/model of your sink? And also where you get? cos I like your sink alot. =) If there's such cream for scratches, looks like i will go ask hb get me a stainless steel sink, instead of granite sink =)

mine is a 5room, painting is $1050. my painting is quoted by ID, who probably added the cost elsewhere. Hence some items are cheap, but others are still okie..... When you do more things, they are able to give more discounts. I revamping whole house, and doing lots of carpentry, but I only look for 4-5. lolz. does it actually help looking for so many quotes? sometimes cheap cheap quotes have many hidden costs, or might mean poor workmanship , imo. of cos expensive ones also have their cons. Just a matter of luck. how much are you setting aside or reno?

My buyer allows us (the seller) to stay for a month while renovating our the other home. However, as we've decided to stay at my parents' place, as renovation will take more than a month or so. We told the buyer, we might handover the flat to them earlier, but definitely after 2nd appt, as we really need the time to move the stuffs. And because our buyer let us have that one month for free, we've decided do it swee swee for them. Before we handed the house to them, we actually clean up the place and clear away everything. As we know they bought out place due to the move-in condition, not doing much reno. I guess, if you're really not in a hurry to move over, no harm letting them stay over. but if you're afraid they will delay, then perhaps get your agent to draft out a contract stating the duration they can stay there, get it written in black and white to protect yourself too.

I have a built in oven at home for 5 years le. Really white elephant. Hb complain the electric bill is high each time i use the oven. And worst of all, I always failed when try to make quiches and egg tarts. Only successful when I buy those readymade to bake cakes or cookies. Would be glad if there's someone to teach baking, then I can have the reason to get another oven for my coming home. Btw, can anyone enlighten me, steam oven and those normal ovens, what is the difference?

hello ourwhiteresidence the transformation is great. and you have a WIW. so nice. I always thought white will be bright and boring. but your ID made it perfect. Noticed that your kitchen sink is undermount. Veri chio is it difficult to maintian stainless steel sink? will it get scratches easily? Other than the 2 big pipes beside the toilet bowl, do you have other pipes in your bathroom? If yes, did you conceal? I'm still thinking if we want to spend the money concealing the pipes in the toilets.

dyleen replied to tingsin86's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
hi, you are looking for renovation for just toilets, or including kitchen? Perhaps you can list what are the things you want to do? Also that $14085 consists of what, then maybe we can help to advise -
The other time we visited CLoset Design, we were quoted the following: $200 pfr comes with - 4 drawers with soft closing - 2 drawers full extension (erm..cant remember what is it le) - one trouser hanger (foc) - one panel mirror (foc) and yeah, the poles, shelves, hang bars unlimited

eh....what is concealed trunking? I've always thought the casing used for the insulation etc, sure to be seen unless concealed in false ceiling or L-box? How they conceal the trunking? inside the walls? now really so high tech le? For washing machine, I'm considering Electrolux or Brandt. Will probably get Brandt. I'm eyeing on their steam dryer. You are also getting from Alumix or Closet Design ah. I've checked out the Closet Design at balestier there. Didn't go to Alumix, lazy to check around. Will probably settle for Closet Design bah.

City Design
dyleen replied to Look Till Blur's topic in Renovation Contractors, Interior Designers & Suppliers Reviews
we met up with an ID from city design over the weekends. Not the one mentioned in this thread. The one we met up was a lady. This is the 2nd time seeing her. The 1st time was just to tell her what we want. She also mention the 1k to see design. Anyway on the 2nd meet up, she did give us a quotation, and briefly run through the design she had in mind for us. She only drew on the floor plan we gave us. No 3D. We're still comparing with others. And also still thinking if we should have a ID (though ex, but at least with design ideas and coordination) or a contractor. Anyway our experience with the lady in City Design was good. Felt comfy with her. as compared with other IDs I met. cos somehow, she seems to be able to know what i wan, or probably we have same taste? -

hi all all the input here are negative about City Designs. just wondering if anyone used them, completed the renovation recently?? Really nothing good about them? -
thanks smartie. erm... normally insulation comes with 3/8 inch. (if i'm not wrong) you used 1/2 inch insulation, is it better to reduce sweating?

hello skyblue thanks for the help. will check with town council in sengkang. initially we thought of buy and change ourselves. but 21.40 is also reasonable. Will let hb know.
