Hmm ... never notice that, I will check it out tonight. But i think they run the trunking to top cabinet. Yeah, 2 sizes cuz they are very thick insulations. One trunking for cables and another one for water. Not much can be done to minimize the impact, other than putting a big bookshelves on top if now

It's easier to clean a stainless steel backsplash as opposed to just normal tiles. Glass backsplash is even easier to clean.

Do they provide a service to revarnish a wood main door ?

So what is their scope for 37k ? I think for wetworks, should able to settle less than 20 or max 30k?

Correct me if I'm wrong but any contractor that bring me to geylang for tiles and sanitary ware would set off an alarm. The prices there are definitely not cheap ... Maybe you want to go to Jalan Besar for sanitaryware and Balestier for lightings and tiles to compare the prices before going to geylang. We heard so many horror stores where contractor bring clients to the expensive shops (with possibility to earn commission).

You can use tall plants and make it like a wall garden to cover up the rubbish chute.

Correct, if you ID/contractors never do measurement, how will they give you quotation? 20ft and 18 ft carpentry work could be different by $100-200 and all this cost would add up. ID/Contractors would not bear this cost and would ask you to cover this cost in the end.

Usually it's us who gives her headaches one

If you use citygas storage heater, you must be prepared for additional gas piping around the house to accomodate it. Check fftw regarding this.

No Problem at all .. I got Joven from PohJoo, around $235-250 (we rounded it up cuz we bought quite a bit from them). In the end, we didn't get the Blum system. We opt for custom-made solution from the carpenter. So, apart from the cabinets below the sink, all the bottom cabinets have standard drawers (with wood), the ones under the hob using stainless steel basket, then there's small (around 40 cm width) using IKEA spice rack which can be pull out. The carpenter solution is roughly half the price of blum one. So, I thought to save up on this aspect. Can always upgrade to blum one in future anyway ... For our partition, it's advised by our FSM. And for me, with the partition, the house feels much better. I think the dining table + chairs roughly around $800? Total Queensize bedframe + dining table & chairs + shoe rack = $1300

Actually, even if tonight is a good meeting, is it worth it? The discontentment is already there. Even if they manage to lower down the price comparable to the rest, you need to remember whether they will do the job properly or not: in terms of workmanship, timing and also material used. So, it's already very tricky. If I were you, I'd rather start a fresh from new contractor/id, since I have not signed anything yet ...

If I were you, I won't be bothered to talk to them. They are obviously aiming to chop you. The price quoted is at least 2x - 3x higher than normal ones !! 200% more !! If it's only 20-30%, it's still understandable. Why don't you go to another contractor and ID, get some quotations and give to your hubby. let him think in dollar and cents. If your contractor/id can give any pictures about their result, it would be better.

Spent more than $300 and you can become member for 1 year. I have made some purchases with IKEA member but don't know what's the benefit. Voucher maybe?

Actually every sink can be made under mount but whether it's nice or practical is another thing You can post your sink picture here ... usually in undermount sink, there are no "edges" near the border ...

I love the hob... the fire is so strong and it takes time to get a hang of it. And maybe it's difficult to use the hob with very small fire and the fire won't be blown off... My heater work as intended ... fuss-free heater. It gives enough hot water for 2 of us.

Where Can I Find Such Kitchen Racks Besides Sim Siang Choon?
ngunadi replied to Reno145's topic in Kitchen & Bathroom
Song Cho one is good but price is very steep. It's ard $200 ++ You can find similar one at Poh Joo Jalan Besar (I can not remember the brand). Or, find a similar ones from Asia Excel. Or, you can use Blum one. -
I did that SEVERAL TIMES. You just return and no question asked. I even bought some items and before I left IKEA, I return them They would return the amount via cc. Very simple + straight forward

Haaa .... ooops From your description, I always thought he's an ID. Or maybe, he's so good until I tot he's an ID

Heard the teak MIGHT not be so good. Teak also comes with different quality ... with different prices also

Nice ... from courts?

And you might not want the FOC dish rack and opt for Song Choo dish rack. More expensive but definitely worth it ...

You are asking a wrong question, I think Dennis is an ID instead of contractor.
-
Yeah, i got them to deliver because we bought the MALM single bedframe and other stuff. So might as well, besides the bookshelf is way too heavy for me. I agree, it's too long but no choice then ...

In general, Singtel Customer service is very arrogant, "Take it or Leave it". I kinda regret using Singtel because of that. However, their network SHOULD be better because there is a dedicated connection to their end, as opposed to starhub with shared connection. Whether from their end the connection is good or not is another issue.

I didn't measure the width but the length is 1.8m (6ft). I think there should be a ratio for the width also.
