Yeap correct. So, she really want to honor the HO date, hence really chasing us to give the details and also not assuming of what we want to do.

We just finished meeting up with contractor, most of the things have been hacked (would post pictures when there's time). Now, our contractor is chasing us for electrical diagram because she would need it to brief the electrician. She also requested us whether aircon installation can be earlier or else, she'd help to dismantle the aircon. It's interesting that our contractor is the one chasing us, not the other way round Tomorrow is also shopping time for sanitary-ware, hob/hood and ikea drawer. Packed weekend.

If you ask ossify's help, he would help you source for all these. Right, bro ossify?

Great ... can post some pictures for us?

Legally it's 8 weeks. However if it's more than 8 weeks (or maybe the agreed date), both parties can do the following: - Claim the Late Completion Interest Rate. This is computed by House Price * 10% / 365. - Waive the above Interest Rate. - Cancel the whole process (and the whole new set of side effects). The reno permit would be signed by seller but the buyer would sign an Indemnity Form to make sure the buyer is the one who is responsible for the whole reno process. I did this process however I would not advise people to do it. It's not worth the risk.

I need a locksmith because I don't have the mailbox key with me. Anyone know a good contact for locksmith? Maybe i should provide my own mailbox key also.

Wow ... nice TV. I am thinking to get a TV this time round but still not confirm. Do you have any brochure or price list for Samsung LCD TV 42" TV ?
-
Haha ... she's quite responsive and that's a good point. I think she'll do a good job, of course there are things that are out of her control. As long as both parties willing to work it out, it's fine. House owners should not be unreasonable by asking the impossible also. No worry, we also compare the quotation and the attitude of the contractors before we choose her.

Erm .. you are asking a very funny question. Because my contractor's contact is from you The home sweet home one. Haha

Too far for me. Anyone can recommend good Wanton Mee near Kovan or Sengkang?
-
My HO date supposed to be 1st week of April but give and take of few days. We think that no point to rush them and they don't do a good job. Once, you rush someone, he'd bound to make mistakes. Hope everything would be smooth.

I agree with ossify. No need ID. IDs might not even entertain you since the amount of work is minimal.

hmm ... I went to SBH @ balestier and the saleslady said never have discount and keep persisting in it. I have to ask my contractor about it. Yeah, reno started on 09/03, now they are still doing hacking. Should finish by tomorrow. Tiling job should start on Saturday/Monday (slight delay due the delay in uplifting of the goods).

My painting quotation is $1250 inclusive of all doors, gate & piping, using ICI Dulux Pentalite or Nippon 5000. But now I worry about the quality. Oh well .....

Anyone Able To Reach Jason/florence Of U&b
ngunadi replied to rainbowguy's topic in Reno t-Blog Chat
Exactly. Based on reviews, I contacted Jason before. I have emailed him 2-3x, called, SMS but he never come back with me. At that time, I decided, no matter how good the contractor is or how competitive the price the contractor gives, ultimately, you want someone who is able to attend to your needs. Of course, within reasons, we are customers after all. So, now I have a contractor that gives me a peace of mind. Although the renovation is not done yet. But so far, everything has been good. -
Hi KM, Thanks for the info. It seems the trend is now all Water-based oven? Is it better? I assume, the water/steam oven come with a higher price tag than the normal one ?

Hi KM, Do you have any recommendation for non-built in oven? My usage would be for cooking and simple baking (cheesecake only) Thanks
-
Interesting. For our place, we decided to apply for approval for this procedure. However, i think we won't be tilt-ing the iron gate. Master Chang also never said anything about the gap between frames (of wood door and the iron gate). Maybe i should ask him about this again.

4rm Resale @ Jw
ngunadi replied to sunnytan31's topic in Reno t-Blog Chat - HDB Resale Renovation & Interior Design
Isn't your sink too close to your stove? Usually ppl avoid that due to FS ? Though each for his own. Or, even in practically, if your sink is too near to the stove, it hinders the cooking and cleaning. -
What is powdered coating window? Is it the one with Felt on the edges? The felt is supposed to help to block sound and dust from outside. So, is powdered coating window a felt?

Tomorrow, gog to bring my contractor to see the tiles we've chosen. Maybe, we also go to Soon Bee Huat to see other range of tiles. Hopefully can get cheaper alternatives. The tiles are too expensive.

I saw a stationary shop at Funan 2nd floor showing and selling the Eubiq system. You can give it a try. It's the big stationary shop, not the small kinds.
