  1. I can't remember the exact freight charges, but I think it cost around USD15 for domestic shipping and comgateway brought it over to my doorstep. Total damage is < $450. Not really. GST is GST. Whatever you consume locally, you have to pay for it. Be it taking exams, peeing in the toilet or throwing rubbish. If the item is exported again, then you can claim back the GST provided you're GST registered. It's just a way to prevent anybody from running away from the tax. U know in some other countries, they do not impose GST, so people siam tax like crazy through tons of loopholes.
  2. It's funny to ask this question: "wat did govt do to deserve tat gst leh?? no service no goods from sg wat." They did everything to give you a place to stay, that's already a solid reason for you to pay GST. Do you know that Singapore has one of the lowest GST in the world? One of the lowest income tax too....that's how Henry's team attracted foreign investors. And I'm not a Singaporean FYI. Never question your government, if you are not happy, vote them OUT! or join the opposition party and kick them out of office! Anyway, ebay is selling at much cheaper price, try those accept "best offer" one. I got my Roomba 550 for USD250.
  3. going to use this as shoe cabinet coz we are buying a better one for clothes: http://www.ikea.com.sg/products/product_display.asp?id=2641
  4. Alright man, my TV console and bedframe finally arrived! need to arrange for delivery now hehe....
  5. wow! $500 for a 7 legs one is d@mn cheap! that's d@mn grand especially for MBR!!!!!
  6. try Laura Ashley during sales period.
  7. I heard it's an industrial vacuum cleaner. Sales commission should be more than $1.5K per unit coz it's in direct selling mode You think those salesperson so nice die die do whatever for you just to sell you 1 single unit of "Pelangi"??! You still have to DIY. I used to use Dyson but it's not better than Magic Clean in terms of fine dust pick up. After switching to Roomba 550, even my ROMAN mop is giving almost transparent water for each mop for the whole house........ now I only need to do very minimal vacuum once a month (for areas above the skirtings especially) and mopping at most once a week
  8. did a search about the $140 thing you guys mentioned. is it the same as this? I think it will only cost $70 if you buy from ebay, including shipping.....
  9. still ONz? I saw something like this selling at $19.....
  10. hi all, i'm very very sorry to tell you that I have to withdraw all the order. My supplier is really uncontactable. I hope nothing bad happened to him. In the mean time, I am waiting for another distributor to confirm the stocks, it's direct from US so warranty will be pretty clear cut. However, the price is unknown, will keep you guys updated once I have the info.
  11. if IKEA has it, why not buy from IKEA?
  12. suggest you seek help from a electrician....this kind of thing, mai siao siao hookay?
  13. well, the QUEEN, may change mattress every day. So there will be just too many UK brands claiming that they got endorsed by the Queen, kaoz....heck care all these stupid claims lar.... Just try it yourself and if it feels great, why bother so much? Kingkoil is the OEM. I am not sure where is the factory of KingKoil, but it will only make business sense to just pass the blueprint to KingKoil and outsource the manufacturing process for tiny dot market like Singapore. We just committed a Dorma Regent Memo - Flex Premier for $1500 from Robinson. It's the selected promotional item under Dorma brand to match the 150 Anniversary theme. If not it should be sold at $1890. Any idea where else got sell this too? We can request for a full refund if we can find a better priced one. and yes, it's firm but not too hard, comfortable but not too soft, with a very attractive price tag I still remember very clearly the facial expression of the Serta sales when we told him our budget is around $1800 + - lol! Some brands are simply too overpriced......
  14. Just doing this beauty saloon a favour. The boss is called Lisa. She's giving me a $50 vouchers for any friends who are keen to try out their services I have been served by them for 1 year +. So far so good If you're interested, just print the voucher below and give them a call to try it out.
  15. guys, I was just helping some of you to buy the whole package. I am not a distributor or reseller leh. Not selling any parts lar. as for the charger, it won't be a modded one. either the 110v or 240v direct from iRobot. payment wise of course in SGD lar.
  16. guys, I am expecting the first batch of Roomba (2 units only) to arrive on Sunday. I was told that the power supply is 240v one. But I can't confirm anything until I see the thing myself, worse case you just need to buy a transformers at around $15-18.50 from SimLimSquare. so just stay tuned okay? Another unit is available. Whoever come in 3rd onwards will have to wait for next shipment. if you have any concern, just post here. perhaps we can start another thread on sharing tips. Both units reserved, others please wait for next shipment: Nick + ending handphone number 1.sonicgoo 331. 2.dankoo 663
  17. Hi all, the model is 570. The final price is $500. However, if you want to trade in the wireless command center, it will be $479. The wireless command center usually cost around $90. It's for you to remotely control the Roomba. 550, 560, 570 and 580 are all using the same Roomba main unit. 570 has wireless command center compared to the 560. This model is currently selling at $399.99 in iRobot http://store.irobot.com/product/index.jsp?...rentPage=family The catch is, it does come with a 240v power supply for local use. As for warranty, I will need to check with the supplier again. Deal is Cash during meet up. It's easier for me to deal in Shenton Way area or Redhill MRT, or some other places where we could arrange. As I am given limited stocks every week, it's on first come first serve basis. Those who PM me b4 will be in priority list. Please leave your contact number too. Already PM 3 guys for confirmation. I will be getting 2 units this Sunday morning. if things goes smoothly. Here is the package details for 570: 1 iRobot Roomba 570 1 Wireless Command Center (http://store.irobot.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2822978&cp=2842706&ab=OAS_IRBT%3ARoombaAccesssLP_500Series&parentPage=subcategory) 1 Self-charging Home Base® 1 Power Supply 2 Virtual Wall® Lighthouses 1 Brush Cleaning Tool 1 Replacement Beater Brush 1 Replacement Bristle Brush 1 Rechargeable Battery 1 Extra Filter
  18. why mod? just use a transformers lar.
  19. why is it harder to remove hard stains? i thought it's better than detergent?
  20. no feature wall, we just confirmed a TV console and its matching display cabinet from cottage crafts. Should be in end of May or early June. Til then I can post picture...currently my P9 is sitting on top of coffee table which was given by a relative, temp use lor. If i'm not wrong the supplier (cottage house) was supplying stuff to Laura Ashley (OEM).
  21. anybody using it now? saw a few models. Seems very eco friendly coz can save the trouble for detergent. butt itchy want to buy liaoz.....but dunno if it's good....
  22. they are the same gang of companies. Just use the price hongliang quote you, min you get same price, if you're lucky enough, by flirting with the auntie, you may get more discounts lol!
  23. I'm using Samsung Full HD Plasma, model P9 So far the only LCD TV range that impressed me are the 5 series and above from Samsung. The rest all cmi lar. Furthermore 52" LCD is way too expensive already, the cost is not justified at all! Something interesting, most people who went for LCD TV coz they dun like the glossy screen from Plasma, but Samsung made them all glossy lol! I buy most of the electronic stuff from either HongLiang or MaximumCredit, but they are under the same roof....other than that, I buy from ebay and ship them in from the states, when this happen, that means the local goods are ridiculously priced.... Just call their line will do, yellowpages.com.sg dun need lobang one.
  24. use this as a reference to ask for direct knock off or cheaper offer from HongLiang/Maximum Credit. You will be surprised how low they can go. they do accept instalment too, with 4% for 24 months for OCBC card/Diners. Total cost will still be cheaper than Courts. I have stopped buying from all these big stores like Courts, Harvey Norman and Best Denki. They are just good for window shopping. But if you like to shop in these place, please continue finance them so that others can continue doing window shopping
