I hear many ppl say "wow so exp for hdb, might as well buy condo" but these condos refer to those not so new n not so nice. the one i stay just opp TBP is selling at 1.5million! but a co-worker was very lucky, managed to get a freehold at near hillview at 660k (price of a 5rm TB resale)

I even wrote to HDB CEO on this matter, they also say it is not right to do extension after 2nd appt. So y in the 1st place, the agents do such a thing? I am just waiting to sign my name on the 1st appt date. I will be using HDB lawyer and I do have intentions to chase them out, however this is not a very good thing to do. Do u know while waiting for 1st appt, our HLE expires and we have to reapply for another HLE? now HDB place a warning on their new website saying... Important Notes: * Buyers and Sellers are reminded not to enter into any supplementary agreements/arrangements to allow for the sellers to prolong their stay in the flat. * After the signing of the transfer documents, the flat is legally under the buyers names and thus the buyers will be held responsible should anything unpleasant arise. * If sellers require a longer time to vacate the flat, they should discuss with the buyers and inform HDB resale officers to schedule the completion appointment at a later date. Now i foresee things will get uglier .....

pls tell me any super lawyer who u know. this owner disregard the contract of going for early 1st appt (before she leave for long holiday) and threaten not to sell her house anymore if i were to go for early appt. this owner still want her 2 mth extension after 2nd appt from me despite disregarding her earlier contract with me. my partner says nevermind and my incompetent agent can throw one side, everything i have to do and dictate. since 1 fine day in november, i washed my hands off this. no eyes to see....so next wk is my 1st appt then i shall see and F every1 if the need arises.

@melvin the program is a freeware (http://www.floorplanner.com/) at first I used Autocad to draw 3D then I found out Sketchup (http://sketchup.google.com/) is so much faster to draw. @ossify i agreed, the switches n wires brackets are headache. So I can only estimate the length. I also like Ikea kitchen but after adding up all the costs, I think Ikea kitchen a bit expensive, what do u think? @dugong6 the storeroom will be hacked so i will have about 3ft left after installing my estimated 36ft kitchen cabinet. So i intend to extend all the way to 39ft. i'm not very sure of the length, I think a professional to do it for me. my guess is that HDB will not allow a "2nd" storey to be build. @chinchye it is at BB. @rondy how i wish i could do whatever i want to this flat of mine.

i wish i could, i even intended to sue for compensation. these kind of sellers n unscrupulous agents take selling house as a game of masak. the time wasted and opportunities cost for me to buy another flat will be jeopardize because of these ppl. i already consulted the legal means, there are simply no ways i can get compensated and/or force the sale to go thru. this is because buyers are at losing end. if i were to take this up to the court and let's say i win, i still have to bear some part of legal costs.

hmm so in my kitchen cabinets design, i calculated it to be 36ft (am i right?) anyway I like to also ask about...What do u think of D'esprit ID? The weird thing about them is that they have Project Consultant who supervise only the reno and never give much design ideas. then they have Interior Designer who specializes only in drawings. I really find renovation a scary thing, even before it starts.

ur quote is def. high! my personal experience with 138 movers was.. 1) they came over to access my "things to move" 2) give a quote 3) i ask for discount 4) they give some discount 5) i say i will think about it 6) some days later, some1 call and ask me for my decision 7) offered some more discount 8) i found it not that reliable but nonetheless there are professional 9) i used another mover 10) their quote more competitive and since Oct 2009, I used them twice (oct 2009 and jan 2010) and will engage them again in Apr. (PM me for their details will be better)

I have a few qns, will anyone please ans for me. 1) I don't have intentions to have wall tiles in my kitchen, will the top kitchen cabinets be strong? 2) Which is safer? suspended bottom kitchen cabinets / those all the way to the floor. 3) how to calculate the total length of my proposed kitchen cabinets? Hello I was introduced to D'esprit through my PRC co-worker. What he had done for his flat was minimal, costing him approx 15k. So I'm thinking to shortlist them for my renovation, do u have anything to share with me about them? TIA.

if u see...the kitchen is on the same side as MBR and BR 2. However the slanting side is opposite of living room, I mean to say the roof is triangular.

i thought of that too but the ex-owner installed normal ac in their 3 bedrooms and this block is not upgraded so the electric load is not the new one. so i also want to know how they deal with it.

yup but i dont knw why some people just want to false ceiling everywhere and play with their cove n down lights. of course generate sales thus profits to them but what is the point here? anyway i intend to false ceiling the kitchen because it is really ugly "up there" and so are the toilets. In a way then I can do away with wall lights which looks like i'm in a old hospital in the 80s.

For me, I think YES. For HDB, a big fat No. So no need to bother asking them.
