my mil and hubby used to buy these crystal from fu lou shou centre, one of the big shop on the top level which sells handmade swaroski beads stuff and some buddhist item. thats the only place I ever see them going back to buy it. that is a very good idea, but I would prefer to stick on the decals as you wont spoil the paint.

I dunno the one I engaged is it the one de-pierre talking abt, same address but got a K. added to the front of Insprizal. I having some headaches with the way this guy trying to make money out of me instead of making my reno progress a happy one. For the whole process my hubby had to be there to supervise them, and still they cant do a good job. painting failed (he said painted 2nd time already, but We saw 1 room which we did some marking for them to repaint never done at all), aircon contractor failed (bad installation workmanship). chem washed already when the final carpentary of my alter table, partition and show cabinet not up yet? ( I dunno is it real or not). parquet varnishing failed (looks like my own DIY finishing). so far the carpentry still in progress (not bad). waiting for the doors to be up and we will see if its ok. there were hiccups of course, as long as he reticfied them soon, its ok to me. pleasing monents, he let me choose even from the new and more ex range of laminites (very happy), he suggested to carpenter to rounded the edges of my tv console as I have young kid. -
Backsplash: Tiles, Stainless Steel, Glass Or...?
jtjw replied to moonlit's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
I going to cancel the SS from my contractor, I find it really ex at $150 a piece. I asked my bro how much for a piece like that, he said depends on the grade, but can use those normal one which only cost $70. but now I am thinking of using aluminium, which make sense cos it wont be hot. -
Hi, I saw this roman blind which use velco to attach to the track at spotlight, so it seems easy to take off and wash. anyway, I asked around some shops, some said its roman curtain, some says its roman blind. so is there any difference? and got some said roman curtain cheaper than normal curtain. getting confused...

urhg... saw this thread too late, had asked for SS for my hob area. cos glass will be more ex, my SS was $150 a piece. -
ask to view his current project! and go to the showroom to see the materials that u get to choose from. I decided only when I see the solidtop and laminates that I like in the showroom.

Hi, for those interested in my contacts its K.Inspirzal, name is Ricky. There are of course frustruction and not too please with some of the works, I guess every company is like that, for 10 people who I talked to abt their contractor they all said got some problem. but most important is immediate rectification, which so far my contact is very fast in rectifying when we complained abt our unsatisfactory. now my cost went up to 20k, for some works added in and minus out along the way (these are not hidden costs) the only thing is their 3D drawing, which I dont like and takes too long to produce, anyway it dont make much difference as I have my own ideas.

oh I didnt explore this option, cos my mom place was concrete top which I thought its rather old fashion. Now I see the pic here, very nice indeed and u said it was cheaper? I bought granite 2b sink and to be placed next to my stove, wonder can support or not, my contractor only mention 'woah u buy granite, so heavy.'

got most of my stuff from Poh Seng, their prices is really a big differences from other shops along the road. things like jovan 25l they sell at 235, omini rain shower 380 (other places was 500++) I got my carysil 2B granite sink at 245 (sale). even the mirrors were cheaper than other shops. perhaps design different. check it out.

And one last thing, electrical, some package comes with it with like 20 nos. of lighting pt. some only 8. The one I got I ask for a lump sum of 1.1k for whole house electrical works. So anything I suddenly think of adding in I ask them to add in. I counted I got abt 30 pt which include shifting of some pts.

I also wondering abt w/m base, cos contractor explain its bcos of the sticking out drain pipe. make a w/m base is to cover it. but some said it for easier water flow. I dunno abt corode w/m base, as my mil house w/m very often they splash water below to wash out the dirt. maybe can ask the sales person when buying shopping for w/m.

Insprizal Design
jtjw replied to ebo's topic in Renovation Contractors, Interior Designers & Suppliers Reviews
I had gone to many other firms, so far I find them quite ok in terms of realistic stuff eg I ask for swing out window for SY, he said cannot be done bcos of the metal hanging rod outside the window area, so only sliding window, not like other firm who said can can can. They know what can be done what cant be done, shows that they are more hands on and site supervision. I found a blog on where the owner engage them posting the whole journey to almost the end. From the blog, well there are of course things to rectify and they rectify it without much delay. Most likely will engage them, unless the final quotation not to our satisfactory. Here is the blog linkk for reference http://loveatcoralinus.blogspot.com/ hmm actually I should contact the owner and ask how is it now.
