Hi hi Junkie's corner has no peranakan tiles, but there is a retro shop on tras street that sells them abt $22 a piece. Give me some time, I will go dig out both their address and pm u. Oh ya, if u really want the cement lok without having to worry abt cracks or allergies, u can try the cement tiles. I ve seen them before in home decor mags (big slabs 60cm by 60 cm kind) but not sure if they are any good.

Have you tried charlie's corner at kembagan? I think he is cheaper than the others in the same line. I am also into retro stuff and I plan to have a kopitiam look alike dining corner. It is really hard to find retro stuff here in singapore!

OUt of curiosity, did u have to level the litchen floor to the same height as the dinig area? I understand there is usually a drop down for kitchen floor menaing it is lower thean the dining area floor

hi I have seen two friends' cement screed floor suffer line cracks after less than a year. Personally, my feet get itchy after I step on cement screed floor. Perhaps I am sensitive to it. These are some pointes u might want to consider.
