  1. Heya, mine is 3164 SUNGOD, Nippon Medifresh series. (strange.. I thought that color was in the EasyWash series too..) I guess if you're just painting one slab of wall, it shouldn't turn out too strenuous on the eyes.. as long it's not the wall behind TV. But again, it depends on individuals.. Bright color makes the hse more lively!
  2. Help Help!! My house windows tracks are not draining water out effectively whenever there is heavy rain. (mine are all sliding windows) Just today, the tracks got so flooded with rain-water that it overflows to the floor! (worse still, my floor is laminated flooring which cannot afford to get too wet) It is fortunate that we happen to be at home when it was pouring this afternoon... Any advice? Everytime there is heavy rain, I worry about 'flooding' at my laminated floor...

  4. wah.. so blessed to have hand-made curtains by ur Mum.. curtains are not cheap also..
  5. ohh.. now that you mentioned it.. no wonder the setup looked so familiar!
  6. Agree.. I would also think it looks better with the white wall tiles.
  7. Congrats on your plastering well done! Mine wasn't that satisfactory, though we got the workers to come back and touch-up twice.. makes me ponder.. is plastering that difficult? Hah
  8. Hey Jumpstreet, Juz wanna say.. your place is AWESOME !! From the walls & floors.. to lightings fixtures.. to pieces of furnishings.. everything fit so well. There is this unique feel which is quite different from many other nicely-renovated units. Haha.. I'm not really good with words. Well done!
  9. Hahaha.. "tic tac" door... Like the way u described it
  10. Congrats on getting your keys! If you already had in mind the designs & layout you want, probably you could save some $ by engaging a contractor instead of ID. Btw, possible to increase the size of the ur pics thumbnails.. so we could all see the details better? Looking fwd to more updates then!
  11. Actually I would think ID genrally earns commission thru referal of clients to shops, although it does not neccessary translates to higher costs on the clients side. I suppose this is fair as IDs also wanna earn some 'extra' for the additional services. I personally would prefer to source on my own too - more choices and allows myself some 'freeplay' Welcome to Renotalk and looking fwd to pcitures from ya!
  12. DIY Aircon Cleaning As this is my first time doing it, I was very careful.. and spent over 30min just to clean x1 fan-coil. I still got x4 FCU to go! LOL.. I used Concaire. More info in below links http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=9191 http://www.airconcare.com/index.html Not sure how through the DIY cleaning is, compared to getting professionals.. But from all the dirt that flowed out, it seems effective in a sense! Anyway I don't think its worth splashing too much $ maintaining the aircon system I inherited from ex-owner, since that set is already 8 yrs-old.
  13. Hey, all the lights look very nice!
  14. zaogeng in ur own house nvm? Have to warn ur female guests though.
  15. u finally started on ur reno Congrats! Happy renovating
  16. Yup.. That clock gives us the "yes, it's you!" feel when we first set our sight on it.
  17. Thanks bro. I know I'm in good hands with so many 'Primes' ard..
  18. Same same! Me and WTB made an agreement - strictly to hang nothing above the head-board no matter how light it is. But I suppose wall mural is fine since it is just a piece of paper pasted on wall. The thing about ordering wall murals online is that prices can differ by quite alot. That sets us worrying abt the print quality.. Also not confident we can do a good job in installing it by ourselves. Looks like u really like scenery wall murals alot to wanna place in kitchen & toilets as well!
  19. Yo arowana, thks for the compliments! yes..I also quite surprised and dismayed at the small size of the toilets.. I can't fit a "lie-down " inside the MBR toilet.. unless we relocate the WC, basins.. *sad siah.. Wow.. ur unit was the only transacted unit in the last 7mths?! Nobody wanna move out means the place is very good! Congrats. heh.. yup, juz pm-ed u.
  20. Sungei Kadut has many furniture warehouses - most of them located on the same street. Highly-recommended for shopping! yep, found quite a few websites selling Santorini wall murals. Now contemplating whether to spend the $$ on it. So u intend to paste a scenery wall mural too?
  21. Hi whisper, I bought both the shoe cabinet and bedside tables from Majesty Furnishing @ Sungei Kadut (beside IFC) The shoe cabinet was priced at $300; bedside table at $140 each. (you can bargain with them for discount) paiseh.. the reason you couldn't find it in google is becos I spelled the name incorrectly. It should be Majesty Furnishing
  22. DIY Aircon cleaning?? Anyone used the below 2 products? Both are available in Homefix. Dunnoe which one is better though.. Thanks in advance! 1) Concaire - solution type but more exp 2) MrMckenic - foam type; cheaper but heard it cleans the fins only
  23. Thanks west! The fabric actually weren't the initial one which we chose. We had to re-select the fabric cuz the original ones were out-of-stocks. Turned out we prefer the new one in the end!
