Checked my receipt, got it at $33. Think was 25% off? Perhaps it was a limited time offer? Interesting. Even better buy then! Why square cups in particular? Yeah, Totts is fab...

No lar... I like to do some research before I go crazy shopping... in case I don't manage to post the info before I go (crazy work days!)... What I have now... 1. Crystal Design Centre (Qualy is there too) 2. Chic Republic 3. Chatuchak 4. Siam Discovery Centre (Loft, Habitat, Propaganda) 5. Mid-Modern/Retro: Hawaii 5-0, Joe's Beautiful Objects, Papaya's warehouse of retro, Junkies, Nightingale Olympic, Y50, Tuba 6. Original Thai designs: Hygge, Oggi Living, Deesawat, Asana, Roi In 7. Supermarts and Handymarts: Boonthavorn, Carrefour, HomePro 8. Index (think Ikea, but from Thailand) 9. Misc Home Decor: Eco Shop @Siam Square, Oopsstuff 10. Foreign brands (just for completeness): Decor Mart Yup... won't be able to cover all. Chatuchak, Siam Discovery and CDC for sure. The rest probably not unless I chance upon them. Or another shopping trip I guess.

So which subscription gift did you get? Still think the Totts voucher was so worth it... Yeah, I hate the sorting into darks and light when I do my laundry. Now is much easier. It's quite big tho, so rem to measure the space you have before you buy. Think less than $35? Really quite a good buy compared to what I saw from Howards Storage World. Sorry dear, I wasn't paying attention to cups... Try calling Totts up? The sales assistants were all really helpful. I'll keep a lookout for you if I go again k?

Haha, I'm actually in the midst of compiling a list for myself and I will update my WP blog when it's ready... shd be ready this Saturday cos I'm flying on Sunday. Thanks! Oh yeah, Siam Discovery is on my to-go list cos of Loft & Habitat - Thailand is the only SEA country with these stores. Plus I loved visiting stores like Tokyo Hands and Loft when I went to Japan. Crystal Design Centre has Qualy designs and some of the local brands that I wanna see. Chatuchak is a must go of course... Will share any new finds when I'm back.

Hi everyone, after slightly more than a month, I'm still settling in (and buying stuff). Latest acquisitions from Totts: Really love Totts Loads of nice stuff for new kitchens. Btw Home & Decor's fair at Marina Square has a great deal for subscribers - every 6 months subscription which = $30 gives you a choice of gifts, one of which is a $40 Totts voucher. Yep... Spend $30 and you get a $40 voucher. !! Last day on Sunday and you also get a goodie bag if you buy the Oct issue from the booth. So I consider that I got a free mag subscription lor. Totts is also having their anniversary promo, so min 10% off storewide, up to 25% and some special buys. Link to see what's on offer at H&D fair: - Goodie bag: http://www.homeanddecor.com.sg/fair11/promotions.php - Subscription: http://www.homeanddecor.com.sg/fair11/subscription.php

Hi all... Before I get more queries via PM... a few request to would-be PM-ers: Pls go thru my earlier posts - most questions would have been asked before. I think it's common courtesy to go thru the blog to check before asking questions. I have been pretty open about where I bought most of my stuff from, so I believe most questions related to where I got my stuff from can be found fairly easily. If you cannot find the info, or find it too hard to search via RT, pls do check my Wordpress blog (linked in my signature below). There is a 'search' functionality, and you can also check using the 'categories' at the side. E.g. for dining table, either search 'dining table' or click on the category called 'dining table' on the right sidebar. [*]I've disclosed the overall reno costs in my earlier post - I will not divulge more details than that, the ID design fees, etc so pls do not PM me to ask for quotations or detailed breakdown. I will admit upfront that my reno cost is not the cheapest, so it's not gonna do you much good if you just want to find the cheapest quote... I WILL still respond to genuine queries posted to me, e.g. do I have kerbs built in the kitchen. What is the height of my false ceiling (answer: honestly don't have a clue). Edit: all reno cost info removed cos am so irritated by the constant queries. It costs a good 6 figs.

Thanks Lady R for showing me around your house. I do love the glass doors at the balcony & kitchen. Looks steady and well installed. So so well-decorated so fast after move-in! Ahem... heard cases where contractors can find the same shade of paint to paint the outside...
-
Congrats on moving in soon! Hope you & family can settle in quickly... enjoy the spaciousness.
-
Gosh the shower area is huge! I think it's the biggest shower I've seen so far. Lux commercial time!
-
Kerb at the cabinets but not at the island. I think I must have answered several times... and to be honest a bit sick of answering so to stop further questions (in the chat or via PMs)... Edit: all prices removed. I will not entertain any queries on reno cost. Yes, it can be a stool or small table to put stuff on. LED type. Link to MO as provided by Zio. No shutter... and they do get wet that's why we chose outdoor tiles for the balcony, and the table & chairs are also meant for outdoors.

This huge place is 189 sqm / 2034 sqft at 805 Woodlands Street 81... Really love the space and the fact that it has 3 toilets! Source: http://www.propertyguru.com.sg/listing/hdb-for-sale-805-woodlands-street-81-414214 Another 3 toilet layout... 170 sqm Source: http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=34305 This is big, but only 2 loos... Source: http://forum.punggol.org/index.php?topic=13848.15 On the flip side, this is a really strange layout... with that awful wall in the middle of the house... Huh? I didn't use any invisible grills. My place is not child-safe.

I'd mentioned earlier that I'll love to see the floorplans for those rare HDB apts with lofts... some pics to show you what I mean: 1916 sqft / 178 sqm 'penthouse' in 851 Hougang Central Source: http://www.propertyguru.com.sg/listing/for-sale-loft-mais-851-hougang-central-5290783 2141 sqft / 199 sqm 446 Bright Hill Drive (not stated as 'penthouse' but from the pics I'm guessing it is) Source: http://www.propertyguru.com.sg/listing/hdb-for-sale-blk-446-brighthill-drive-3096754 -
Hdb Floorplans: The Best (And Worst) Layouts In Public Housing
adidaem replied to PublicLife's topic in Reno t-Blog Chat
Ohhh... you are the best! It's almost perfect... except that the 2 bedroom toilets are teeny tiny! How to fit a shower cubicle in them? The Woodlands EA is a giant! Can definitely be made into 5 bdrooms. Or even 6! The MBR is 2 rooms by itself. Amazing... BUT... shortage of loos tho... Can't imagine q-ing to use the loo... -
Hdb Floorplans: The Best (And Worst) Layouts In Public Housing

Thanks for starting this thread PublicLife! Really enjoy seeing all the different layouts. Thanks for this floor plan Kobe bro! This apt is huge! There is a narrower triangular EM without such a huge void area at the foyer. Ohhh... I can so imagine one of those Moooi lamps or nice dramatic hanging lamps at the foyer... But... this is one of those gotta get FSM advice before going for it kind of layout. -
I think after reno most ppl will go and get new cutlery and tableware? Just added a list of stores that are wholesalers of kitchen ware in my wordpress blog... think you can find kitchenware stuff at cheaper prices at these places: - Landex - Lau Choy Seng - Moderne - Sia Huat - Tott Didn't get a chance to go to Lau Choy Seng, Moderne or Sia Huat. Any comments or tips from people who have gone to these stores? Am thinking to pop by one weekend to window shop...

Oh lovely! I love big spaces... I think if my place has this layout I would: - relocate the storeroom and convert the space to part of my WIW. - build a new storeroom near the kitchen... possibly build a maid's room if I need that... - relocate the toilet door to be nearer the other bedrooms if there are no pipes that will block the new door. - create an open concept kitchen for a big huge space along with the dining and living room - install some glass at the study wall (if it's gonna be a study) to visually make the space look even bigger. Looking forward to your plans and final result.
