  1. You are welcome and thanks for visiting my blog. I got my ID to constuct a yard next to my kitchen where I can do my laundry and I kept my long balcony which double up as an alternative place for drying my laundry too. I don't use a dryer as my place here is always very windy. Btw, where is your EM?
  2. Nice sofa bed! Is it fabric or leather?
  3. Congrats in getting a place near to the school of your choice. Your layout looks similar to condo design....unique What's the floor size?
  4. Hey Summersann, Congrats to u being featured in HnD...... Your place is really, really modern n beautiful
  5. Hi Pokz, nice to have u start your own tblog. It looks like a it is going to be a total makeover of the place. You have got quite a comfortable budget to work on and with careful planning and prudent spending, I am sure your place can be transformed to something close to your dream. The main ticket will come from your flooring, kitchen and electical. All the best to your renovation.
  6. 149sq m for a 5rm maisonette? This is about the size of an EM. Mine is already 150sq m.
  7. Your kitchen looks really nice and sleek! )
  8. Why rojak house? Your place looks nice and well ~ maintained. Is your place near to amk hub?
  9. An Ionised alkaline water syetem is quite costly to own and it needs regular maintenance to upkeep the quality of water. Eg the filter needs to be changed on a regular basis and the electrodes need cleaning too. These amount to some cost. As a landlord, you have the choice to decide if you want your tenant to use the system....or if your tenant agree to use the system at a agreed fee. Why don't you install the system at your own premise instead of the rented place? It would be quite difficult to refrain the tenant from using it when it is conveniently available.
  10. You too, Vanessa! Thanks for the nice comments and ever-encouraging words. I wish you well in your renovation....esp the hacking of the bedroom wall will be approved. Cheers!
  11. Zihui, thanks for your kind and assuring remarks....all the best to your reno!
  12. Totally agree with you. keep the ground floor toilet.
  13. Hi Alezdrake! Welcome to this wonderful forum. You can check out price of chimney hood from Mayers..... they offer brands like aristonand indesit ....their price is not steep but may not be the cheapest. I bought ariston LED chimney hood from them.
  14. Thanks macuser for writing on my blog..... I understand what you mean. Yes, the robot cleaner is able to clear the dust and hair on the edges along the wall. It is equipped with brushes on the sides of the robot.
  15. Thanks for your honest comment. Not outdated but simple .... nothing really fantastic lor! Given a very tight budget, we are very happy with the final product )
  16. Thanks Ong, from my place can see the Singapore Flyer! Yeah, I can see the fireworks display! )
  17. Hi Zihui, it's great to see you start your own tblog! Once again congrats on owning an EM. Though you a small budget to work on, I am sure you will be able to work around it. I was also in the same situation as you and I didn't want to take any home loan. My reno was kept simple and nothing fantastic.....just wanted a decent and cosy home, that's all. Like what 3Dyms and Mrmerry shared, focus on the important things first....cheers!
  18. Interesting topic. I can keep the flooring and windows but not the toilet bowls esp when they have been in used for many years. Like most people, the reason is simple and straight forward.......it is for hygiene reason.
  19. Summersann, just want to tell u that this photo is gorgeous n beautiful! )
  20. Wooh.....your toys look great and neatly arranged on the display shelves. I used the similar concept for kids toys too....one for my daughter to display her barbie dolls n one for my son to display all his toy cars. My wife also like to buy and keep many stuff.....I had to build plenty of storage to keep them. Lol.
  21. Don't panic or get too anxious. Now that our friends have shared with us that our sliding windows n grilles have weakly secured, it just means we need to reinforce them with good and reliable locks. I must thank the guy for informing me about the weakness of my sliding window. In my opinion, break in usually happen to corner units and non-corridor units where the public cannot see the main entrance. One of my friend once shared with me that his 4rm corner unit in Jurong was broken in 3 times.
  22. Mine looks exactly like this too! I now feel safer after installing these......after all I feel it's personal choice. This guy did not force me to install. He merely alerted me and got me to rethink my home security.
  23. Thanks for visiting my tblog, Venessa. I agree with you too about having a 'like' button. It is because of good feedback from forumers.... if not I may end up buying products that may eventually end up as white elephants....heehee.
  24. An update of my 'petite garden' in my balcony:))
