I AM FINALLY STARTING MY MINI RENO ON 15TH NOV 2011 Below are what I will be doing : 1) Hack off all existing cabinets,stove n sink n hob supports. 2) Supply and install windows for MBR,common room and living rooms. 3) Supply and install piping for whole house. 4) Supply and install 02 bi-fold doors for W.C & Bathroom. 5) Supply and overlay floor and half wall tiles for W.C & Bathroom. 6) To change squat to seat toilet. 7) To install one wash basin. 8) To plaster all damaged area after hacking. 9) Painting for whole house with ICI/Nippon Paint (Up to 4 colors) 10)Paint all door frames and window grills 11)Debris removal and chemical wash. 12) Rewiring works : 11 double sockets, 7 single sockets, 1 aircon pt, 3scv pts, 1 tel pt, 1 heater pt, 3 wall fan pts, 1 ceiling fan pt,9 light points Total : <$10K Price exclude ; All Accessories for house and no carpentry done for kitchen yet. *phew*... will post later.. other stuff required for house... can HUAT over the wkend... MONEY MONEY come to me!!!!

Hi all, Would appreciate some advices from all forumers. The areas of rooms & hall are 15sqm/13.5sqm/18sqm respectively. Based on a link posted, the btu required are about 10k/9k/12k respectively. I went down to the Gain City Expo Sale ytd looking for a system 3 aircon. As only 1 room will be frequently used, I am looking for a non-inverter system, however the salesguy there told me non-inverter will be phased out in next 3yrs and servicing may be difficult by then?!?! He recommended me the following inverter units: 1) Mitsubishi Electric - BTU of 25400, with 2x9k btu + 1x18btu $2909 exclude brackets +$150, upgrade of insulation +$180 2) EuropAce - BTU 28000, with 2x9k btu +1x18btu $2499 exclude brackets +$150, upgrade of insulation +$180 I am confuse if is better to get the inverter or non inverter as the pricing is about $1k+ difference? What is the cost savings in SP bills btw the 2 types?? Has anyone use EuropAce before and how it is? *Usage for aircon is average : 1rm x 9hrs daily, 2nd room x 8hrs a week, hall x 5hrs a week max? If not wrong, divorce can only drag max 4yrs? and the cpf have to be paid. the amt on child maintenance is either an amt agreed upon by both parties or maybe the court will work out a reasonable amt. she can ask for the sky but if ur salary is only $x amt, u cant fulfil her "unreasonable" amt! court will look into the jobs both held, who pay what, need to pay what and other information to derive on the amt de. if judge give both joint custody with equal rights, failure to compel, the other party can sue de. *someone i know gone thru such hassle and they had to switch from own lawyers to seeking legal aide help due to high legal costs. however as all cases is different,process/result differ, is best u seek all advice from your lawyer.u paid her to advise u! hope ur case get settled fast and spare everyone the agony!

So glad i manage to call the seller directly.. and we found out is all the fault of his agent.. for not communicating with us. he make seller think i am forcing them out immediately by wanting call police and his agent told my agent seller very bad tempered.hard to talk to him! happy! can embark in my reno soooon!! yipppie

yeap i know..i asked the agent tell me.. his family problem got nothing to do with the move? so why?.. no reply. guess i beter be prepared he giving me problems cos of his own problem.

I had been very nice.. when OTP signed in april..i wanted them sign saying extend a mth.if any more.. i will collect "rental". nothing signed... 1st appt in mid may..2nd appt in end june..btw this period..i keep asking n asking.. no replies. so i thought..if they cant fixed a date..i fixed for them.. fair right? so i got my agent convey msg i am locking up on july 10th. ( i had this msg conveyed even before signing 2nd appt so more than enuff time given right) seller's agent actually replied only when i mention i will call the police..and he told my agent to inform seller we just dropping by (10th July) to ask abt the move?? they still there on sunday... and when the seller ask me dun force him etc..he "fan" over other matters.. i was quite cheesed off. ytd his agent drop by unit and msg convey to my agent was.. the seller refuse move even if i wan call police as I give them a final ultimation for July 15th Fri.then me n agent was informed.. if i wan call police..do so at night when he is as not to scare his wife n son?? I did not want to make things ugly for all as I see that his wife is not local and they have a presch son, but i dont like when nice-ness is taken for granted. LOL.. turning to Miss Mean soon.. but both agents are worried the seller will cause trouble even after i move as he as some gangster background? anyway .. flat is legally mine.. "seller" shld be termed as ex-owner liao hor? grrr..sorry to be rambling in a thread not started by me.
