How Much Can We Save If We Hire A Contractor Instead Of An Id ?
yaolong replied to purecat's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
my own experience... ID firms quoted me between $70k and $80k for the SAME job that contractors quoted me between $45k and $55k the same job i sourced out to different sub-con... the final cost was $40k the money i saved i could install TWO system 2 inverter aircon, buy better toilet accessories, buy better lightings... BUT i have to coordinate among the sub-con, supervise the jobs to ensure correct instructions... if u wan designer's outlook (very subjective) and have plenty of cash to spare, get a ID if u have ur own designs, some cash to spare n don't wan headache, get a contractor if u wan total control, limited cash to spare n don't mind doing the coordinating (i quite enjoy this), get sub-con... -

The SCV technician came down to my house for rectification of some SCV signal issue. He said Starhub only charges less than $150 for one SCV point and got warranty somemore. So if outside FL electricians charge $150 per point, might as well get Starhub to do it and sure has peace of mind... Singtel also charges less than $100 per telephone point... Your electrician charges are a bit on the high side...

Very nice DIY mood light... The DIY mood light is running on wired power supply or wireless and you charge it? Can PM me the RGB LED light bulb details too pls? Thanks!

No, my friend. See my T-blog and you will know where I m from

Mine also had the same problem... Got starhub down n tested... My electrician forgot to connect the SCV white cable to the house wiring... SCV did it for a fee... Btw starhub also did a signal test for all my SCV points. Signal is good... Mayb u check ur SCV box (white in colour for me) usually outside house to see if ur electrician connected the point to ur house SCV cable?
