hi, i think its 80 bucks...if i remembered correctly. u taking hdb loan or bank loan? hdb loan use hdb lawyers, bank loan u'd need pte lawyer. bank will recommend the firm, so u'd probably dun have to run around finding one yourself. pte lawyer will advise the payment breakdowns accordingly too.

ya, there is est 1.5-2 months lag before the actual caveat data is published on the website, i think it usually comes out after the 1st appt if i'm not wrong ...so it may not be very accurate. and that hdb avg selling price median data thingy.. i find it ridiculous and not useful. how can they juz lump all 5rms as ONE? there are so many types of 5rms in a single estate. if 1 die die must go by that data, they'd probably not be able to find a place liao i think.

actually its a double edged sword. on 1 hand u have newly weds who probably have combined incomes of less then 8K. but on the other hand u have those who married late (probably already earning more then 8K combined) who are complaining about the 8K ceiling...and have been talking about when the 8K ceiling needs to be reviewed. i think no matter how, the lower income (younger newly weds) will 'suffer' eventually...sad but true. when eventually the ceiling does rise to 10K, naturally prices will go up, coz demand will go up as now those who previously don't qualify (beyond 8K ceiling) now can. thats why, sometimes be careful what u ask for.

besides the hdb fees stated in the above link, as buyer u need to pay the valuation report fees, hdb registration fee for 1st appt... if thats what you're asking.

i'm not sure about this beam thingy. though all the books i've read generally say cannot sleep under beam. BUT i think my fsm ask me to put my bed-head against the wall that has a beam. I asked him 3x if i can place it elsewhere (as i was not too keen to put the bed there)... partly coz it might make the room a little crampy. But he insisted that this is the best direction. so... maybe other things like diirection and bazi should be taken into consideration, and not under beam is juz something "general"? juz my tots only.

That 2 squares on the left is outside of the house already... I think its where the gas meters are. The rectangle facing the windows with the 5 circles is the stove. Next to it, on the other side of the L-cabinets is the sink.

besides corridor unit or corner unit, there is the next to corner units, i think this is better alternative to corridor... more privacy, as only 1 neighbour will walk past. 8K or 5K?? when was that?? i think very difficult lor in current mkt. my parents also looking around at 3 rm, everything even original condition open mouth asking around 20K liao. sometimes renovating a very run down unit can cost much more then a newer unit or one that has been renovated before. i think something to think about too.

u just bring your floorplan to an ID or contractor, they will be able to tell u. normally those "darker" lined walls in your floorplan are pillars and usually cannot hack. if really want to got to get PE to endorse.

Hi! Was wondering... can anyone advise me here? Should I get a Full HD or HD Ready LCD tv? If I get a HD tv, do i still need to get the HD box? or only if I get the HD Ready tv then I need this HD box? How much does this HD box costs? Is it true that if I do not subscribe to Singtel or Starhub HD programs, then its quite useless to get HD tv? Thanks!!
