  3. Hello Earth, We did some extensive research work on ceiling fans a earlier this year and compiled a comparison chart. Check it out: Ceiling Fan comparison chart Like you, we struggled with the Lbox and false ceiling decision. in the end, we used simple ceiling lights but had to locate them away from the ceiling fan to avoid "spinning shadows". See our blog: False ceiling and Lbox Trust it helps

Hi christian, presuming you are talking in the cotext of hdb w low headroom, 1. for the cove lights, i'd recommend you consider to use normal ceiling lights to increase headroom, reduce mainenence cost and save cost on the false ceiling + lighting points. See how so here 2. ceiling fans are always a good investment in hot singapore. For your choice of ceiling fans, see our research work on the various comparison

  14. hi all we had the same problem... ... it is inevitable to have some rotating blade shadow if you depend on the ceiling fan w light kits if it (the rotating blade shadow) is so undesirable, better to have downlights in false ceiling boards far away from the ceiling fan. for us, it was a cost issue.... (ie the downlight & false ceiling was unnecessary $) see our ceiling fan choice here http://hdbrenovation2009.blogspot.sg/2013/05/ceiling-fan-comparison-chart.html

  19. considered the toilet bowl shift option during our reno... strongly adviced against by ID. explained that to shift, need to run a parallel pipe to connect back to the outlet provided by hdb. imagine if there is some leakage w water proofing problem, the sanitary fluid will go to the neighbour below... ugly sight the most we could do was to shift the TB by 2 inches by using a collar. see our renovation blog as follows http://hdbrenovation2009.blogspot.sg/2013/06/feedback-of-water-cabinet-baron-w303-4.html
  20. it is getting competitive now. bad service will be reflected on the internet forums. Encourage all to consider forumers' feedback here. We used to shop from at a shop sales recommended by a colleague's whose aunt's works there (whose name I do not want to mention here) . Through an unintentional comparison, we realized we were quoted higher prices, and after discount is still a premium over other shops.... see our blog here http://hdbrenovation2009.blogspot.sg/2010/08/improved-toilet-layout.html
