check around for price. these contractors engaged by HDB are cut-throats(MOST). they assume you know nothing, assume you IQ zero, you dont know any contractors, and then they SHARPENED their knife sharp sharp. this comes from my personal experience with electrical/window contractors by hdb.

1) got that LOVESLAVE contract from ROM ? if yes, considered married. 2) Address your parent-in-laws as father/mother instead of uncle/auntie? if yes, considered married. 3) have your wife/hubby slept in your house before on the same bed? if yes, considered married. infact the above aint important just extras, it's the solemnization ceremony(ROM) that truely decides that both of you are married. some works HDB are obliged to do but others nope. MUST; 1) hollow tiles (anywhere in the house, if it's in the toilet, then must redo whole toilet) 2) remove old kitchen cabinets 3) water leakage 4) broken windows or worn out rubber seals they are supposed to hand over to us in stock condition, stock condition as in the condition when they sold it years ago.

ya, SCRUBBED the GLASS! the window glass were SO DIRTY to such extent that wiping them couldnt remove the dirt+stains. got to use GREENPAD to scrub! house is SO DIRTY! toilet, kitchen, balcony, grilles,..etc those dirts were not accumulated in months but in years. exhouseowner got kicked out by HDB only in mid 2006, meaning the exhouseowner is a pig treating the house as a garbage centre.

mine's a RP flat too. glass chairs are nice....but they cost a bomb. saw them in milleniawalk harvey norman last year. acrylic ones aint cheap either, i remember they cost around $300+ a piece. you guys got very exp taste leh

ah...5rooms, crescent, there is only 2 blocks by the hawkercentre. this 2 blocks are the old time 5rooms, very very BIG!! unless those new super quiet blocks at block 15-17... may i know how much you paid for it? HDB WIS???
