  1. Haha, i think it's better to touch and feel an installed sink, and can test water run also! But I see so far so good for all who have bought Kraus right? Please don't poison me
  2. So sweet, your first pic! Congrats, your tv console is finally here. It is looking really good! I'm eyeing a Mid Century-ish piece from Second Charm, made of solid teak wood. Not sure if you mentioned before, but how did you hang the photo frames onto the wall? Using nails, those 3M stuff or something else?
  3. Yes, not doing toilet. Will ask about electrical and also tiles stuff. So the carpentry price on a higher side?
  4. I've seen many wood kitchen worktop in those temperate countries' kitchen design, very nice I must say. But just wondering if it suits Singapore's climate and humidity? I suppose there will be alot water/moisture in the kitchen, will algae or mould grow on the wooden worktop? The current place I'm staying in, our bathroom cabinets are made of solid wood doors with plywood cabinet, and we can detect those mouldy smell, especially on rainy days.
  5. Oh dear... sounds like laminate. How much did the table cost?
  6. So many ppl buying Kraus! Is it that good? For something like kitchen sink, I have to see and feel before buying.
  7. Got a quotation from a contractor. Will appreciate all feedback and comments
  8. Nice decorative items you've got! Why is the Franc Franc table a disappointment?
  9. Make a slight amendment to the first quotation posted earlier. This is from a contractor and is for condo project. Will greatly appreciate comments/feedback from fellow forumers. Any part that is overly expensive, or missing from the list?
  10. Sorry to hear about this. Hope things get better along the way. I like the furniture you bought from the 1st and 2nd stores. Can PM me the address if not convenient to say here? Thanks.
  11. Momento effect paint is interesting, but haven't seen how it works on wall (the real thing). My t-blog is in my signature lah, here goes - http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=53789 Already bookmarked your t-blog, looking forward to reading your reno journey!
  12. Like your wood-grain kitchen cabi ideas! I also thinking to have this but have to choose between this and grey tiles versus wood-like tiles and white cabi. Cos I will be having wood-like tiles in my living and dining area. What about you? I'm getting quotations now also... Will start reno after CNY. What a coincidence
  13. Ya, I think the craftstone one is kinda expensive, and the quotation of $1600 (ignore the other figure) is just for tiling labour, cos I intend to supply the craftbricks. Is there suppose to be "haulage" thing in the list? And I don't see things like installation of hob, hood, oven, ceiling fans etc. Should ask contractor to include?
  14. Got our first quotation. Any comments? Do note that this is for condo...
  15. Hey minchul, thanks for sharing. Sorry that i missed out your reply! I'm leaning towards wood grain tile and perhaps lighter brown cabinet, or bottom brown, top white
  16. Hi, may I know where did you buy this cream colour bin? Saw something similar on Taobao but hesitant to import in.
  17. Your cement screed wall is nice! Curious to see how the TV console will turn out after adding the wood element
  18. Waaaa... you can sew. can do alot of things then The wooden legs for sofa looks good!
  19. Hi Frankman, Can you kindly send me the contact of the freight forwarder? So far how's the quality of the furniture you ordered from China? Thanks in advance!
  20. Great to see your update photos. Your kitchen cabinets are looking great! I like the contrast with the black lines. Are your caged lights in the kitchen and the bathroom ones different? Can share where did you buy them from?
  21. Yah, I agree with you, can save a little here and there on appliances/furnishing and I will prioritize on furniture, for eg bed is more important than say study table. MrsLoo, do you have a t-blog?
  22. That's very informative for newbies like myself! Thanks, zhiz Is there anything to take note of for condo unit? For eg, what is the usual cost of clearing of debris and haulage? What about renovation permit?
  23. Some inspiration for kitchen... Should I have the wood-like tiles from living room extend all the way into the kitchen? This creates a better flow I feel, and will blend in better with the half open kitchen concept, similar to what itsybits did for her kitchen as shown in pic 1 & 2 above. I'm also open to using grey tiles that resembles cement-screed flooring. But will this make the kitchen appear darker than it is? The current kitchen is quite dark, would prefer to create a more airy, bright feel. In a dilemma also cos the floor colour will affect my kitchen cabinet colours. I plan to have top and bottom cabinets on the longer side of kitchen, and bottom cabinet on the shorter side. Ideally, I'd like wood laminate on all the cabinets, combined with white kitchen counter top and white subway tile as backsplash. However, if I were to choose wood-like tiles in the kitchen, I am afraid the kitchen will appear too "woody". No problems if I use grey tiles... Another alternative is to use white glossy laminate on all cabinets. Or use only white on bottom cabinet, and wood laminate on top cabinets - but will this become too "top heavy"? Will appreciate your advice!
