i am always amazed by the herd mentality of singaporean, ppl dun buy they dun buy but when ppl start buying, they all start chioning in. if the market is not experienceing a V shape recovery, all properties could start tumbling down like 'House of cards'

Hxxg Txxx Korea Package Su_cks! Be Warned! 8D-6N, 1.5k/pax, advert as 5-6 star hotels, no hidden cost except for tips $40/pax. Reach there only 1st and last nite 6 star, rest of the hotel 1-2 star. the coach have to sit in long journey, so uncomfy, all kena neck pain, back pain, worse than go m'sia coach! Dirty , run down hotels, then say what tatami very nice, bascially ask us sleep on floor, but later change to bed, bed so small i nearly fell off the bed when turning. then go ginseng shop, we all dun buy into their nonsense, straight away show us face. the shop sales ppl say 'tot singaporean very rich, why not buying', the tour leader say,'tot u guys wanna try for baby, should take more ginseng', felt pissed by their sarcasm! Meals ka_na_sai all just veggy, meat in hot pot! some more wan nice meals ask us pay $30/pax more! in the end we top up almost $50/pax for 'better' meals. Then sit ski lift tell us very nice, neber tell us not in package but end of the trip ask ask us top up another $15/pax. end of trip is worst moment, cos they collect tips time. this tour got 3 person leading, this tour only 31 ppl and they have one tour leader from singapore,(we suppose to give him $10/pax), a chinese speaking tour guide from korea(supose give $45/pax) and the last one is like korean guide side kick(suppose to buy photos from him) They din tell us all these tips when we ask HT what hiden costs are there. me and wife only bot 4 photos(each cost around $5 each), the whole photo package cost $75(and we are the cheapest liao, some cost $90), the younger ones all not buying into the photos. The side kick show face and throw the photos we dun wan into plastic bag in front of us. We felt the side kick did indeed work hard during meal times and help a lot in lugggage, so we put in another envelope some $ around $10/couple for him. It's not we do not like to spend or tight fisted, we felt the younger group is being neglected as the tour concentrate on the older group. And the system regarding the not so transparent costs feel like unethical and it feels like fleecing, rather they should just tell us the cost upfront. This really left a bad taste. The photos package end of trip leave a bad taste as nowadays we all got digital cameras, why we need u to take our photos, maybe we need only group photos. yes, it was package nicely but why aren't we allowed to choose those photos we like? I seriously dun mind if u tell me upfront, we give the sidekick $10-20/pax for the hardwork done, it's unnecessary for the stupid photos. We have loads of time in hotel, just ask us which photos we like and it take like 10 min for choosing and the side kick will not waste time and $ to print unwanted photos(some photos got 1 eye close or sleep look, who want them?) i advise all to think twice against packages from them. pui pui pui! but at least we made good frends with our tour members as we all share a 'common enemy' during the trip but then again that's not what we set out for.

is it package tour or u plan everything urself in free and easy? cos we thunking f doing free and easy on our own but afraid of language problem

i am referring to Mr zhirk saying that he is concern that i will not land my dream job after studying an MBA, being a optimist, i say that will not happen. Sure a ivy league MBA sure does make a difference. Same ;like comparing 1st class Honours with 2nd class honours. But does not stop those in 2nd class from competing in an interview and getting a job. same logic

i use the amex kris flyer gold card, it converts ur spending to $1.6 to 1 mile. i use it for wedding banquet and it earn me a lot of miles!also if u spend min of 5k or 10k then it will give u bonus 50% more miles! but downside is waiver only for a year but i still keep it as it is very useful.

does not bother me a single bit! if i think along ur line of thought, and if i did not have 1st class honours, i will never gone out for job interview since i will worry there will be many 1st class honours ahead of me! not only that those scholars, and experienced staff will all be ahead of me. But i still apply for a job and thank God, i still manage to get pretty decent one. So having some who has a better degree than me simply does not dither me a single bit. Time and chance come to every man, see if u can grab it.

When the train depart and when it arrive is all on the ticket and even got rail time table avail at the train station, very fool - proof. i suggest u guys to read up on travel guides like Let's Go series which in my opinion is the best, i rely on it for many good deals and value for $ restaurants and accomodation. even for my NZ honeymoon i also DIY, booking most of the itinerary and accomodations online. Works out great for me and also i feel it is much more flexible too. anyway nowadays , the tics are not so pricey to europe, think u can go there for S$800, so dun worry about screwing up, try it once and it will give u greater confidence to ditch those packages. but maybe for exotic places like japan, middle east i will take packages

i have toured Europe and i can only say dun waste $ on those packages. Even their Hostels are very good. Book a private room for 2 in hostel very much cheaper than hotels and to me it is just as good. Save the $ for good meals and entrance tics to their many museums. i sugggest u can start from Munich , Germany which is in central europe, then go by rail. if u can tahan even can book a sleeping couch overnite and u reach the next morning, no prob.

actually , your answer tell me that you r the one thinking that way not me! So what if someone comes in with a 'better MBA ,'Then u have to convince the employer, that despite that, you r still the man for the job. Hence it MBA is no more than supplement to my ability. Pls do not be concern, becuase it will not happen. But do save the concern for someone else. Everything has a risk. the same when u r studying for a degree, can u gurarantee urself u get into 1st class honours and dean's list with so many china and indian wizards around? even if u do, are not down in the pecking order behind those on prestigious scholarships? There is no way to find a conclusion if we argue along you line of thought.

personally, i am not bragging, i believe i have what it takes to be a top manager but 1st i need to get that interview and in your words, i need to "raise some eyebrows " but i will not want to do riogorous MBA that may give u a headache and takes away your quality of life with your family and work for the present employer! Also rigorous does not mean relevant ! I mean NTU degree is so much more rigorous then some overseas ones yet when i started works i find that i study so hard yet some of the things i study are obsolete, while the overseas students though have a easier time have put their training into something more up to date like learning how to use certain SW tools for their calculation of course besides the theory of it! You echo the same sentiments as me ," study is to upgrade YOURSELF, not to show people that you have papers. Like equipment owns by a developer, nobody really gives a d*mn." but we do know here that employer will want that piece of "equipment" before allowing you an interview. Think about it: what if you have rigorous MBA, but you always flop during the interview, unable to think on your feet? will rigorous MBA benefit you? on the other hand if you get MBA that is reputable but not as rigorous, you get a chance into the interview. You can still get the job if you impress during the interview.

no, i disagree and i am not trying to cut corners. i do not want to invest my time and $ only to find they are not much different from other MBAs. actually i need to clarify is that University of Western Australia is a top 5 Uni in Australia, not a certificate mill. The reason they do not need gmat score is because they do no think students who did well in gmat will do well in MBA, hence they welcome ppl with gmat to do and give them a chance to excel in it. it is not cheapo MBA, it is 2nd tier besides the ivy leagues MBA. it cost 30k, so the students there are serious about it. personally, i do not have sponsorship, so to study ivy league mba will cost around 100k. i cannot afford. also the time and effort to get a gmat score to go in. even then SMU or NTU mba will cost 45k, also u will need to do gmat and the course is rigorous, which means it will take it's toll on your present job and also family time. But at the end of it when u compare the MBA with university of western Australia, it hardly look any different since UWA does rank highly too, in fact if angmo employer look at the mba from NTU , he may think it is from china! To british or european, Australia's education seemed much more familiar than one from singapore too. hence i am drawn towards this degree. of course everything depend on your aptitude, that's so cliche. So why dun you just start work after o level or better after your psle ? then work to be millionaire , and write a book about it and all the ah beng and ah lian will quote u as an example that they dun need to study but still excel in life cos they got aptitude! seriously i do see many ppl with aptitude but lose out on opprotunities , so a degree does go a long way to open opportunities to him/her. i will not have gotten my R&D job and countless opportunities if i have not studied for engineering degree, even though i have tonnes of aptitude duh... hence i see getting a mba as also a key to new opportunities and at a higher level and scale. I also warn you not presume and assume negatively of others just becuase you disagree with them. i think western europe is so advance u dun really need a agency to help you, u may cut cost too , book everything on line. get maps on line or at theriu Tourist info. save you a lot. dun even need to book train tics in advance sure can get on the day.

Star furniture also not bad, we got TV console there. Celini also not bad , also located at furniture mall at beach road. but i think Novena maybe not so good in quality, can skip
