  1. The overall look of the kitchen. White glass back splash and black galaxy granite. Complete with Blum soft closing and drawer runners
  2. I got mine from An digital as well. Ricky is nice ad patient. We got the Yale 323G, the only one feasible for a gate and Samsung SHS- P717 for the main door. .
  3. Adding doors will be a little "overkill". Whole kitchen will look have having full height cabinets. Also very time if wanna use have to open the door, kinda troublesome as well. Thanks. Mr. Foo gave the design, I added the glass.
  4. Here you go. http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z09.2.9.244.S9cGPj&id=19580378137&_u=d1n55c8t3786
  5. First, simply ignore the forms from Amcon if you are buying yourself. Create Tmall/Taobao account, fill in as the delivery addresses as per my earlier post and start making your purchase. Upon purchase, email to Amcon with your "marking" ie the address you filled in in your TB account. This marking is for Amcon to identify the deliveries as your item. Example as below. 广州市越秀区北站南路69号义庆商储仓135 / 112库 邮编510403 联系人:倪先生 / 何小姐 电话/传真:020 - 3637 7718 手机:137 1160 1896 BLOCK 135/112,NO.69 BEI ZHAN NAN RD,YUEXIU,CHINA 转 Ang Mo Kio Ave 6 Blk xxx #xx-xx Singapore xxxxxx (your name) (mobile number) Please ensure you inform Amcon immediately after your purchase and not a few days later, or when items reach Amcon. If you are consolidating items, please inform Amcon not to deliver until all your items arrived. NOTE: By informing means sending email with your "marking" then follow up with a phone call to Amcon. Yes, it is so simple and straight forward. Key point is "marking", inform Amcon the "marking" and when to deliver. All your purchase in Tmall/Taobao has a tracking number upon courier, you can monitor the arrival of the item individually. Subject to your seller's courier, the tracking details may varies. Once you have complete all your purchase and all sellers had couriered out, you can start preparing the list to Amcon. The list MUST include "Courier name, Courier Number,Item description, Quantity,Value" which you will have once items are couriered out. NOTE: Courier Number is 运单号码. Do not confuse with 物流编号 or 订单编号. Send the list to Amcon for them to monitor the arrival of all items and get ready for shipping. Prior sending, make sure this is fiinal, do not add on anything last minute, else it will be bothersome and messy. Chances you may get partial shipment or complete shipment delay.
  6. The "fish tank" look. Looks like an enclosed space in the carpentry. The frame amplify the "fish tank" feel. So instead of solid top of granite, stone etc, we replace with carpentry. And the top layered with tempered glass act as protected against the carpentry. Additional lighting are added, as ceiling lights are not bright enough due to design. Another design idea from Mr. Foo. The slide out is good for using rice cooker/electric kettle etc where the steam can emit directly and not onto the carpentry. Further to that, can act as an "island" for food preparation with things within reach.
  7. The holder is fine, it does the job. Just dont like the plastic feel. Too "plasticy" if you get what I mean. The roller bearing mechanism is simple, aint no rocket science. Can last for years, only concern will be material deteriorating over years. Heat from the oven is not a problem, oven sit in with gaps on the side. Conceal so you cant see. Also the back is expose, not totally enclosed as well and oven vents from the front. Imagine folks who install the oven below a glass hob, if heat is there, hob might be affected as well.
  8. This is right beside the "holder" box up (my above post). One of my personal favorite. Nothing unique, took the idea from Blum, call the "Tower" unit. Tower is extremely useful to keep daily consumables such as sauces, canned food, condiments etc. Things that are pretty unsightly and take ups kitchen top space, keeping them in Tower, clears up space and looks tidy. It is only when you have one then you will appreciate the usefulness and functionality. Drawers no doubt takes up more space but the accessibility is second to none. What I simply adore are the drawers, especially at the lower parts. No more squatting down and digging to look for things you need. Now simply open the drawer and viola, bird's eye view of what I want.
  9. Just take note that shiny/glossy/bling laminates has high maintenance. Such laminates are fingerprint and dust magnets. Also using wet cloth leaves dried water streak marks, if wet cloth is too wet. Any future scratch marks are magnified in glossy laminates. Clean cloth happen to have some grains of whatever does damages to laminates when wipe across. Just a food for thought.
  10. If my memory serve me right, with the cabinets on the fridge side, an island in the middle, and high stools, the space is pretty tight. Of course subject to the the width of the island. If width is wide, the stools will be against the wall. Then the length of the island determine how much walking space you have. Personally, I feel the space are a little tight. Also with fridge, stove and sink on one side, you are left with no much kitchen top to prepare food. If you cook frequently, I can assume the rice cooker is gonna sit on the top. I dont see any microwave as well. Add the microwave on, you have practically no kitchen top space left. If shift things over to island, defeats the purpose of an island (clean & sleek). Also need 13A point for power supply which cost a fair bit to run electrical as well. And honestly, a standalone rice cooker dont fare well aesthetically, let alone a microwave.
  11. This is the box up area beside the vertical piping in the kitchen. (on the left of the pic) The holder is from Amazon, posted earlier. The built is very "plastic" and not as good as I expected. Nonetheless, it still does the job. However if the rods are too slim, the holder might not be able to hold.
  12. I was using one previously for a decade. Brand is Rinnai. I have no problem with it, water is hot and bills was low. So right now in our new place, we purchased another gas heater together with gas dryer from CItygas. This time the brand we took is Ferroli. No special preference, simply went for the biggest capacity here. I prefer gas because of the long term lower cost which has proven to save me cost. Am not a fan of hot shower, mainly for the missus only. As long as she is ok, I am fine.
  13. Tmall/Taobao Shopper Those buying big bulky items, please check with your seller if they do delivery to designated address. Some sellers dont deliver to address but to a collection point ie 物流点 Which means for eg. Seller uses DHL and seller is in Shanghai while your address is in Guangzhou. So they will deliver to DHL Guangzhou and you have to do self collect. Hence you must communicate with seller and request for delivery to point. One of the reason is that in China, there are still many resident housing which are 6 floors high but without a lift. To deliver to point will incurred extra cost and your seller has to arrange. Your consignee will not do self collect for you. In the case of Amcon, they will not do so. If require, you may have to call Amcon to discuss and arrange before placing order.
  14. If you are looking at sofa set, depends on how many seater. You can get the measurement from the seller. Say the sofa is 2.5m in length, then you can estimate the volume to be 3 x 1 x 1 = 3cbm. If there is an armchair, or ottoman, just add on. If you order now, unless seller has ready stock, chances are that you will not be able to ship before the holiday. Sofas estimate needs 3-4 weeks to fabricate. Then also local courier to your shipper. By the time items reached your shipper, likely to hit the holidays. Shipping out then will face with closure of customs. After the holidays, customs pack with back log of containers to clear. So if you order now and local courier out before end sept, likely to receive it end Oct in Singapore.
  15. Fujioh Hood Bosch 2 Stove Glass Hob Bosch Oven Serie | 8 HBG56B550J Stainless steel 60cm Built-in single oven On the top is the old mircowave. Cater for future replacement if required. The carpentry was designed specially with the space for a stand alone mircowave.
  16. Sea freight is approx. 7-10 days subject to customs in China. Please note Chinese National Day is 1st October. Chinese custom will be close for 1 week. Further to the national day sale and high volume of domestic courier, plus closure of custom, please add 1 to 2 more weeks for sea freight. 1 cbm is 1m x 1m x 1m. Depends on how big your carton box is, then you can estimate how many carton box you can fit in 1 cbm.
  17. Yes, it is RMB 50 per link. Per link regardless of quantity. Quantity base on volume charge. Eg. 200 hangers from same link, charge as per link. Amcon rate is still RMB550 per cbm and SGD35 documentation fee. (as of my last purchase via Amcon)
  18. Forget to mention, these are made by the carpenter, courtesy of Mr. Foo.
  19. Thanks, already move in. However still pending small touch up and rectification. Part and parcel of renovation.
  20. Mine is an old resale. Previous owner has laminate on which I removed. I overlaid on existing tiles so there is no screeding and the flooring is pretty level. Only issue is the leveling on the balcony part.
  21. What I had paid 1 unit - One piece WC Suite $240 (Brand : Inspire) 2 units - S/S Bidet Spray (Approx SGD 40 each x 2 = $80) 1 unit - Nickel Finished Rainshower System (Grohe mixer with hand shower only Approx. $290 plus self install rainshower head $70. Total $360) 1 unit - 35L Joven Storage Heater (City Gas Heater $360) 1 unit - Basin and Tap (Tap approx. $60. Basin one is $35 and other is $80) 1 unit - Kitchen Sink and Tap (Approx SGD300 for both)Total SGD1480. Other than WC, one basin and the gas heater, the rest from Taobao/Tmall.
  22. Kitchen Sink from Tmall : Selena Been using for a while already, so far so good. Simplehuman SInk Caddy. Stainless Steel from Amazon. Bulid is good and sturdy, suction is firm on the stainless steel sink Kitchen Faucet from Taobao. It is pretty tall, approx. 70cm. Bulid is sturdy with a hefty feel. All in all sink plus faucet, slightly less than SGD300
  23. The frosted look is nice but will cast a shadow, pretty visible from outside.
  24. I think more of a concern be the shower screen. While sitting down, you leg has to be parallel with the shower screen. Sit and reach seems to be the only option. However the protruding holder also act as an obstacle to entering the shower area.
