  14. Depending on your time and how involved you like to be... From my experience at this moment, it can be somewhat frustrating but enjoyable at same time. I have one main con but he is understanding enough to accommodate my wishes. I also have other contractor doing other parts of house cos I sourced them myself. He is still professional enough to give advice to me and to accommodate to my timing (to let the other contractors to come in). So, it really depends on you.
  15. If you have time, buy during the various big companies annual sale.. Can get good bargains if your timing is right. Got some stuff during sansei, kohler and j Suisse sales.

  17. Not necessary... but you would need to know the detailed dimensions of the product you intend to get.
  18. Hi Cyanjachoc I saw how they went to put the steel reinforcement bars in the countertop before the concrete set. I had no prob with the top and is pretty solid. No cracks were seen at all. For the legs, they used bricks all 3 sides to support the top. I dont recall them using rods for the legs. Bricks were pretty solid.
  19. Hi You can have a peek at what my contractor is currently doing for my place: http://www.renotalk.com/forum/topic/64547-tile-kitchen-countertop/?p=868274 Do PM if you are interested.
  20. I did not mind as I can use my CC and get some $$ back in return. Moreover, I stretched my purchase with interest free monthly payment which can't be done if i had gone thru with my contractor. Yes, you are right that IDs may/have arrangment with them. And it may be advisable to stick with them especially when it comes to tiles.
