First of all its good that you check all these things rather than finding out at later stages. For the bifold door contractor, at least the sales person is polite, did not shift the blame and will send the contractor to rectify the problem which I think is most important. I think the craved lines are not well done with unevenness as per picture above. Think you can tell Alan you will accept the door only if the craved lines are properly done (removing the chip bits and sand to smoother texture).

Totally agree and now I am also thinking of excluding a lot carpentry works as I feel buying ready made is cheaper and I can always change if i don like the design anymore or want to change the theme. Just curious how much does your hacking cost ?
