    I had start looking for my ID since April 2014. Had confirmed my ID on August, with the the hope that i can get keys on 4th Q 2014 despite that HDB states that my estimated key collection would be on 1st Q 2015. I basically send my request for quote requests to those reno website like; www.renotalk.com.sg www.renotalk.com www.ilovehome.sg Each of these website had about 3 - 4 ID called me, plus some I called due to good reviews or friend intro, I think i had a total of 16 ID. As my job is out on the road most of the time, so i am able to meet up and discuss with them. So for those who do not know which ID to look for, can just pop a request to those reno website, and i'm sure many ID will call you to arrange a discussion. I don't think i want to list down my experience with each ID, the reason i chose this ID is mainly because she is one of the cheaper quote, and more experienced compared to the others. Since I had met with so many IDs, so i think more or less, i have some knowledge on some renovation stuff, i even had met up with some inexperienced ID which i think i may know more than them.

    Yeah!! Finally it is time for me to write my very first reno T-Blog, had been reading T-blog for like near 1 year, and had been patiently waiting for the time for my key collection so I can start on my T-blog soon. As per tradition, here is my 5 room Floor plan, got my keys on 3rd Jan, my reno (hacking first) will be starting on 2nd Feb. Now is the rectification period with the BSC folks. Already 2nd round, hopefully coming week can clear all the defects. I guess it's pretty standard layout for most of the BTOs, below is the HDB suggested layout. And this is my 2D layout, this is not the latest, there are some changes, yet to get the updated layout plan from my ID. Because this layout plan was done before i got the keys, so after getting the keys, realize that there may be some space constraint, so waiting for the latest copy.

    Thanks for the replies. Ya, maybe living room 6w while specific area where need to be more bright will put 12w.

    Hi Guys, I wanted to buy led downlights for my Reno thru online purchase. Those square led lights that are fitted on false ceilings, or L-box The options for these lights are 6w, 12w, 18w. I'm thinking to get 6w since there will be a couple of led lights to be fitted on the l-box or false ceilings. Not sure if 6w is bright enough, or usually people go for 12w?

    Your layout design was quite unique with the study room at the kitchen there. and it was nice! you have 2 aircon compressor or outdoor unit, whatever it is call. Can you take a pic on how it will be placed? Because i see that your aircon ledge had pipe so wonder it can be side by side?

    Hi congrats on your new nest. Happy Reno-Ing Wanna check with you on the wood tiles, is it wood or just tiles that look like wood? If it's tiles do you know is it ceramic or homogenous? The tiles gap looks thin and slim.

    How you find your kitchen sink? Is it good? Am thinking of buying from tb too. The price is too good. Does it stain easily? Meaning if drops of water and oil on the sink, if did not clean any grayish stain on the sink?

    I asked my id on this too. They quoted me about the same price. Didn't know so expensive too. Then check with you. Indeed the price is about the same. But I'm sure it will be more lasting compared to solid plywood.
