  1. The black "portal" is looking cool. =) And glad that Jake is coordinating well and give u good ideas to solve the problems.
  2. Hi Dwin, thanks for the updates. Aiya, thought that they have relaxed on that rule and wanted have a go at enlarging the bathroom. Haha.. Seem like all are going good on your reno!
  3. Hi, as others have say, what a big house u have! Cant wait to see the completed reno of ur house. ZL Construction is one of the contractors under my consideration. But their generally higher cost highlighted by a few other forumers is keeping me thinking twice about them. And their reviews are quite hard to find. So nothing much was known about their quality too. Only know that they have a enthusiastic boss Jake! M following this topic closely and hope to see more postings and reviews of their works. See whether they justify the higher cost or not! Hehe..
  4. Wow , that is a pretty good big u got there! 26k cuv, big house, great air.. how old was the flat?
  5. Hi Dwin, I am curious about the extension of the master bathroom to create the shower area. Did HDB approved it? From what i know, they are quite strict on this so called wet/dry area.
  6. Hi Darkwingz, MAy i ask, how is the performance for the fan so far? Is it noisy? and how is the wind?
  7. I will go with the darker shade too for the contrast. Read somewhere the contrast will make your room look bigger, visual illusion. Correct me if i m wrong, haha.
  8. Dot N Tots! I was interested in their services too after reading sforshor blog. And best thing is i realise it was located just beside my friend house. Fated to pay them a visit. Haha. Do share with us on their services good or not!
  9. I would go for #2 matt white. White brighten up the room. and matt look more scandi than glossy
  10. Hi Tigaroo, Based on my readings on others T-blog, it is difficult to create a shower room with the basin inside. Most of them apply to shift the basin out of the wet area to outside using hdb dry area ruling. But this will eat into the kitchen/MBR space. http://www.hdb.gov.sg/fi10/fi10324p.nsf/w/HomeRenoGuidelinesBuilding?OpenDocument#Bathroom "Maximum width and area of extension Must not be more than 600 mm and 0.6 m2 respectively andCan only be used as a "dry area"For example, for installation of wash basin or shelvesThe existing gas riser and it’s branch pipe must not become enclosed in the extended bathroom/toilet"
  11. Hi amirahpaul, I like how you keep the renovation simple and nice. Your house is so aesthetically pleasing without breaking the bank. May I ask more about the performance of the fan? Is providing enough wind? Noise level? Hope that your cat had got used to it already. =) If possible, can share your ID Daniel contact number and quotation with me? If alright too, would like the contact of Hau Hau's Mr. Lee too. =P Thanks, Samuel
  12. Hi, I like the flooring of yours and the open kitchen concept. If possible, can share your quotation/tender specs? Looking for a template and your beautiful house is in line with what i had in mind. Thanks, Samuel
  13. Hi Rumble, I am getting a 3 room flat too.. Totally love the way you reconfigure the MBR. The extension need permit from HBD right? How do you get over the HBD rule of "can only be used as a dry area"? Wont showering wet the extended area? Secondly, may I ask how you select your contractor? Based on what criteria? And also, if possible, would able to share your quotation/tender requirement for reference? Need a template and your works are in line with what i had in mind. Thanks, Samuel
  14. Hi Lily, Congrats on new house. I like the design of your house. The clean look and simple design. If possible, would u mind sharing with me the contacts of the ID/contractor? And, btw, how was the after sales services? Worried that they mia once payment is done. Thanks!
