Fifteenmay, Ya I took a bridal package with Venus last year. Deric is the boss of venus & before he opened venus, he worked formerly for santiango in JB. He's also an award winning photographer based on what I gleaned off from singaporebrides forum when we'd were searching for good BS. Now Venus got a sister bridal shop opposite, thats what I know when I went to collect my wedding photos a few months ago. You should be in frequent contact with your co-ordinator if you have no time to go down to JB often... It took 6 months for just some changes here and there (about 3 sets of changes for wedding album until we'd finally settled on the final changes & choose the album cover + wedding frame type.) Overall, the photos taken are not bad.(Photos are not in the computer now) Service wise, a little slow in changes which I suspect is due to many people signing up with them. Their signature gowns are much more nicer than the standard gowns they have. I believe that when you sign a package with venus, there's separate charges for makeup, ampoule & eyelashes that thing right? It is better you get your own eyelashes & ampoule since you may need for both AD & PS.

Bedframes are pretty heavy to shift to any point just to clean that spot. what you need is a vacuum cleaner & vacuum dust first before moping if you want to. That's what we're doing. lol. I did alot of house cleaning yesterday till back breaking. *Faint* Lucky hubby help by vacuuming & moping the floor.

Fifteenmay, 1 pair of shoes is enough for ROM,PS, AD... Just be sure that the shoes are in white or silver 'cos both colours are preferred for PS. I see in your signature that you signed up with Venus at JB. If you get Deric, he is good.

Carpentry cost is high other than hacking costs & if move again, got to hack away such carpentry done since got to return it back to its original state before handover. Try to do minimal carpentry better. Be sure to nego with ur ID and ask for some 'freebies' included since such freebies would be factored in the whole cost. Can share your quote with us?

Yup have a doggie but its my hubby's own. Have a dog at my parent's home but no pics yet. The wink decal have not been installed yet, will share pic with you when its up. My wink decal I choose is under the wink tailor category at www.winkplay.com For other categories except wink tailor category, it is $69 + installation fee (Can ask either christinetan or winkplay installer) if you want to extend to full wall, you would need the people at wink to come down to do a measurement & give you a quote on the spot.

Keitong, ya i realise that early on. but still HDB need 'cos we pay so much for a flat & a doorbell switch + wires is only provided but not a doorbell lol

Then tell me how it goes with the fellow you dropped a note to when he replies. Btw, Courts is celebrating its 34th Anniversay, received their catalog mailer in the mail & I noticed several nice nice divan bedframes with low legs some more. Not sure about the pricing for the bedframe alone as it comes in a bed set.. like wardrobe, bedframe, dresser that kind. One thing about courts is, while their prices are competitive, some price tags are somewhat pricey also even after discounts.

Ho Bee is a contractor company, not an ID company. So choosing the tiles is entirely yours as long as they have provided you with the list of the tile shops that they get their stocks from. The difference between contractors and ID is that contractors just fabricate according to your specifications, no fanciful designs or designer stuff. For IDs, they are responsible to meet your needs in terms of aesthetic & practicality purposes. So you can't expect much from Ho Bee but one thing for sure is Ho Bee has good service. Just like my experience with Ho Bee, I also had to choose the tiles on my own from a shop on their list. The tile shop staff is very experienced and took the effort to give pointers on which tile selections are good. So there is no complaints with the tiles.

Hehehe, came across this while googling for a clothes stand. http://www.olx.sg/bedframe-headboard-divan...ess-iid-7901211 Price wise, I don't know if this is considered reasonable or not? But divan bedframe in white looks nice

Ya cannot on all 4 at the same time on the hob. Did you get yours from Mayer, crystal15? If yes, then the staff should have told you that besides the required amp for the hob, you can't on all 4 at the same time. Only 2 at the same time for cooking. Also HDB flats differ with the amp. lol. This is what I understand roughly. If exceed the max amp set by HDB, there might be a problem with the electrical voltage? !!

you can look at tristesse's blog. Have some electic stuff so far, maybe you can pick up some ideas here and there -
Heh, I also have this light too in silver for balcony area !!
-
No worries, just check the cement screed when it dries, try walking with bare foot !! Your floorplan's the best. All rectangular. your kitchen area looks small to me though.
-
Good for you. Mine does not have any false ceiling or anything to hide the wires like yours do 'cos we didn't do any major renovations at all. Just pretty much paint the house & lay flooring basically. !!
-
From past experience with dogs, I can say all do shiver when being showered. Believe it has something to do with insulation & warmth that their furs provide in dry conditions. More like protecting them from heat loss compared to human beings kept warm by their body heat alone.
-
The cement screed job looks well done. I'm not sure about mine 'cos that time HDB contractor do cement screed to the level for laminate flooring for my place, it looked a decent job. But after the flooring is up, I can actually feel uneveness in some parts around dining area & near passageway !! No choice since flooring already done. good thing is that the flooring for bedrooms & the rest of the house don't have this uneveness
-
I also headache 'cos HDB design till funny. Got doorbell switch + transmittor but no doorbell at all + ugly wires sticking out in kitchen. !!
-
Nice pair of shoes you got, diva! I got a pair of square open toed heels in white from JB during a shopping trip 'cos my feet don't conform well to round toed heels. . It's probably 4 inches which I'm not sure. Wore it for ROM & PS. Very simple design though. Will post pict of the shoes at a later time as my shoes are in my parents home now.

Yokine9a, you must have frightened patrick's tiler with your supervision? -
Enjoy yourself on your trip, apple! Deathcoth, those look cosy but must be ex also.

Greycat, no prob! I also am trying to learn how to do the icing decoration but that will come later cos need to experiement more with the taste of the cupcakes/cakes first. The taste of the cupcakes/cakes must be good to complement the taste of icing decoration or else no use. Kekeke. Btw, I heard from my friend community centres also have cooking/baking lessons. This one ah, I also haven't had time to go and find out more. You can get a cheap oven with convectional function. There's a sleek looking oven by panasonic with same inverter system like mine but SUPER ex.. going for 800!! The salesperson at HN that time was trying to sell us the most ex ovens as we were looking at convectional use for baking. http://www.panasonic.com.sg/web/pid/1136 - > This one sia.

Compassvale: The trick is to hug fifi close to you when venturing into water like the sea or a pool. I read somewhere else in an old reader digest issue last time. Basically dogs are like babies which you will tend to take greater care until they can take care of themselves in the water if they take to it that is. Blueberi: No prob. The only difference is that AMC products are not that shiny as WMF products thats for sure but considered stable judging on how far its served my mum.
