You could say that, But even an electrician knows to do simple plumbing service since installation of heaters was done by our electrician. If for complicated ones, its better to let the plumber take charge better.

May I add on to the topic of cement sand screed flooring? My late grandma's house have cement sand screed flooring and it was polished also. However with time, it became quite dusty with dirt 'cos of the air + dirty feet despite regular sweeping & moping. Somemore there is a need to have the cement screed flooring polished everytime when the polish wears off. So this basically requires some maintenence for the cement screed floor. For cement screed walls, I am not too sure but I should think it should have the same requirements for maintenence.

you will be pretty busy looking out for furniture that complies with fs somemore. I think I also caught flu just like apple 'cos I spent the night in study room & the air is pretty cold.

On a footnote, special thanks to christinetan for her time to come over to my place this morning to do the measurements for the wink designs I intend to put up. Stay tuned for new updates on the wink designs.

Mine is at most decent level I think since we'd went for 10" mattress, so not that high also. If looking for short legs, how short and whether you'd like the legs to be visible? Or else can try plint stands just like the Ikea MALM bedframe on both ends.

Like the lace curtains in white Finally its up! Upclose of curtain alignment & curtain rope. The curtains have this lovely line texture on it which is not visible from the photos taken unless take really very very close & can be seen in person better.

This sounds bad. Seriously, what you pay for, you should get a satisfactory renovation even things do not go your way all the time. The boss of the ID firm is nice to follow up but it is a loss to you and him in a way since it has adverse effects on the image of the ID firm based on your ID's action. Your ID is the one responsible to oversee the renovation since he is supposed to meet your needs & requirements. The after-sales part does not sound very good also. You should sit down and talk with the boss, see what else can be done to further minimise the losses than wait for more problems to crop up especially what you have incurred due to slipshod service. That would be the best way though

Platform

Ya I agree with I_club23 on systemind being pricey for storage. I'd enquired there last time about the price and my jaw literally dropped! It's almost 2-3k just for a bed platform. That was their quote as we'd did consider such space saving features. I can't remember how they worked out the quote though as it was like long ago. -
Ya I was surprised to see Ikea in the picture with the topic on door handles. !!
-
Wow why like that ah? Hm I think you might need to get an ID to solve your problems and create according to what your standard is cos if going by contractor, Contractor can only do according to specifications. Very few contractors will give good suggestions actually.

I assume you guys bought a dinner table already?? From where and damage? keke

Topspin: If doing whole house except kitchen, main door kerb, believe it will be calculated per psf.. not per room/living room. Depending on the grade of laminate flooring you want to get, say AC3, AC5.. most wld range between 3.5-4.5 per psf but generally cheaper than paying for homogeneous tiles + sand. Also it depends on what type of your place is as per psf will calculate according to your total floor area. Assuming that your place is a new flat, HDB will do cement screed free which you will save a bundle this way.

congrats! You can start your renovations soon when you get either an ID or Contractor

Okay thanks Mace. Will try it out & see if it works?

Your case 'lagi best' than my experience with this indian family the last time we were looking at resale flat when we were house hunting. The valuation price was about 180plus and asking COV was about 15-20k if i remember. This was around last year. Had viewed several units and the price range was more or less there cos low floor units. This particular unit was in poor condition.. ie; no renovation or any thing done. Have cracked kitchen tiles & basically needed an overhaul. So we asked our agent to ask the owner if can lower COV by a few k due to all those factors. Just when we were interested, the seller suddenly decided to hold it off claiming that he wanted to get a 2nd valuation report (partly i think was due to GST increment of 5% to 7% in July then so sure bound to have alot of buyers wanting to buy property before that july) Naturally I was bemused by the whole thing & I doubt that the seller would be able to get a higher COV & valuation price based on the unit's condition. Frankly if the seller wanted to sell us the unit now, I doubt so 'cos also not worth dealing with sellers who are suddenly on a yo-yo streak

Uh.. I thought laminates need to be maintained? After all any contact with water can easily cause slight warping at the edges?? I also have white cabinets but as for how lasting, only time will tell since I've only moved in so can't really tell how long it'd will last
-
Hmm? Door handles for cabinet? Or for just bedroom doors? Have to be specific since I don't remember Ikea having door handles for bedroom doors alone. The one at plaza sing mentioned by Simeiz is indeed ex but caters to mostly bedroom doors & main doors with latest biometric designs.

More or less remember the directions of the area now cos I always take the bus everyday. Im at the block opp your block at the basketball court. Kekeke. Wah you had a bad 'hair' day that day! Should familiarise yourself with the area and bus schedules. Got SBStransit webby also can look up also. Next time take cab, if the uncle dunno, tell him its near what identifiable landmark. Before going for interview, make sure you check the street directory, and check the landmarks nearest. Print that out so that can bring with you in case. This is what we usually do when we are not sure of how to get there.

I think there's only 1 temple facing the st 64 blocks (Behind) which I know of only. Is that right greycat
-
Oh I got it ah!! U step out from the lift, you look for the block 274C which is opp your block at the basketball court, Then from Block 274C, you go to Block 274D leh... Ta da, you'd be able to find your way out.
-
Hmm you want to the bus stop near the coffeeshop behind the MSCP?? I pm you the map I did up for your reference.
-
Yup nearest mrt from our area is Boon Lay. The nearest mrt for me to catch the co's transport is one thing you got to figure out. When we meet finally, I tell you. Speaking of that, you need to take note of the bus time schedule that goes to the place in case. Otherwise you will find it quite ma fan to take cab everytime you either miss or be late for work.

Er..I also not sure if should take the risk since still under warranty though. Vitroceramic types are similar to induction ones. All black glass I think but not sure what kind of material is the black part? This is what I'm using currently :
