Got to see if Laura Ashley photo frames will be suitable for my place first. Im aiming to shop shop for my next BKK trip soon
-
Woo that's on schedule le. Seems you and your hubby are wood lovers, looking at the woody carpentry.
-
No prob. Just remember to get your aircon covered up when they're doing touch up & acid washing.
-
I remember cos I got same door for the common toilet also 'courtesy' of HDB although I wish my MBR Toilet bi-fold door is the same as the common toilet's Did you and your hubby manage to go down to the furniture shop in JB?
-
Its better to paint first then install your aircon thing.. Cos paintworks usually have 2 stages... first coat, 2 coat or final coat of paint. The first coat is done first and the 2nd coat is done later after carpentry before acid wash I think since need to touch up here and there.

I was interested in that mini water dispenser similar to the office one when i saw it while passing the Creations from the Heart shop yesterday. But it would be impractical & wouldn't blend in with my simple kitchen which is not even country style. Im still looking for some very nice 4R photo frames but very hard cos those photo frames are not particularly nice nowdays

For country lovers out here looking for country style deco, can try this push cart at anchor point. It is near the main entrance & the push cart name is Victoria Isabelle which sells lamps, tableware, bedding furniture & etc as on their flyer. Price wise, am not sure also. The basement at anchorpoint, I think have a kitchen-like shop that also sells country like deco but since I didn't go inside so never look at the items there

Hmm but skywolf's is a resale flat and she mentioned that some blocks at amk during the recent MUP exercise got this door. Maybe you show your ID this photo see if he can find something like this?
-
I think HDB's contractors should know since fittings like the bi-fold doors, main gate and etc are by them. Why not ask your TO or the branch office in charge of interior maintence if you're not able to find this outside?
-
Yo, the threadstarter has concluded the end of this thread already. Doggydo, that is a extremely direct post you have there. Do bear in mind this is a home renovation forum so you may need to be a little more discreet with your advice too.

Something like that along the way but I don't know whether it is good or bad? 'Cos I do think about what could have been changed or reversed on reflection sometimes. Certain things in my life has been kinda stagnant cos I've been very slow at picking up the small pieces all the while. What does the others think about the answer I gave for the forest qn?
-
So my answer would be like this:- I see many trees in the forest, both short & tall shapes. It is not gloomy or dark, although there are shadows cast upon the ground. No mist & it is bright enough to see a well-worn trail with stones that hints of weathered times, ie; mud, foot prints.

Yup it is considered industrial design concept. But loft theme is also based on that actually because the term loft came from those warehouses which apartments were built from. So every structure is all industrial like & it became a classic trend in recent years since loft spaces are quite airy with intact structures + big windows, high ceiling. Since your living room ceiling is high, why don't you try extending the balcony door height to form a 3 panel clear glass doors. Again this is up to your individual preference though. I once came across a flickr blog on a tastefully done up loft apartment. When I mean tastefully done, its not those usual modern contemporary look in a loft apartment. The owner brought out the essence of the loft apartment by having an open concept industrial kitchen style, the living room played in rich, dark bold colours like purple walls with grey sofa. The dining table is a modest 4 seat square table in birch veneer (something like Ikea's birch veneer furniture) with those common metal chairs that are usually found in cafes & outdoor use. The master bedroom is done in olive colour and sparsely done. I still remember this blog but I lost the bookmark link to the blog cos I reformatted my pc some time ago. I could have kope more ideas from it.

What matters is your other half stays by your side during the worse times as well as the good times, this I agree. However, the impt thing is to have trust & faith in each other. A bond like this will never be destroyed irrevocably unless the person chooses to break or destroy it. Marriage itself is a life-changing phase & it is alot different from the bachelor/bachelorette days ma. But individual personality cannot be changed to suit each other. HT Devil, Maybe you can find something to bring the rs up to a deeper level where you can understand each other totally.
-
Wah! Not bad, you're a talented artist! Can I engage you to help me paint a wall design next time?
-
SF, can check with Mafiawife. She bought her dining lights from JB, so can ask her about the quality though. (can check out her blog) Its just that some lights are kinda outdated and might not 'grow' on you at first sight. Also it depends on what kind of budget you plan to spend on?
-
wah what a question. I wonder what would be the meaning behind my answer if I answer that
-
Thats a very high ceiling for the living room I like! but I think HDB will not approve cos its a HDB flat, not a pte property where you can create an extra level. Plus if you sell it after sometime, you got to turn it back to its original condition. I think the trick would be understanding how to suit the loft theme to your place cos the loft theme calls for exposed pipes and ducts in the ceiling, a great room floor plan, floor to ceiling windows, exposed interior brick, stained cement floors even in luxury homes, metal stairs and handrails, stainless steel kitchen appliances, and modern/contemporary furnishings. Peacesom, can check this forumer's blog out here for some ideas on how to get that loft theme. http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...4614&st=160 His home is the industrial kind mixed with modern & vintage like furnishings which is exactly what loft theme is best described in loft apartments overseas..

I can only envy you for having bigger space. If I have the chance, I would love more space for a guest room & an entertainment room. One can never have enough space for a home when more storage and needs comes up.
-
Very nice the reno. I think it looks a little empty & the foyer is a little woody looking with the shoe cabinet & settee look hence it is not "matching". Maybe you can inject a bit of colour by putting some artificial plants that closely resembles real ones.
-
Peacesom, like Zirhk3355 mentiioned, you need to use image uploading sites such as imageshack, picoodle & etc. You can try using www.imageshack.us and you can upload the pic there. When imageshack shows a list of urls for the pict you upload, you copy the url for websites/forums & paste the link in your post. Hope this helps.

The last visit which was last week, the blood test showed that there was a drop in his enzymes in his liver but still high. Still have to bring him for another follow up visit next month. Summer seems much better recovering at my in laws' place since there was no recurring seizures after the last one, Oreo really learn from summer? Poor donut. I think Oreo trying to be alpha. Btw you saw greycat's blog for Yuki? She put up that pic of summer humping donut and added a few hearts into the pic and a caption as well. I laughed my head off seeing that pic

Wah, I no fight with patsy over this. lol. Cos Im working full time leh, no maid at home too.
-
That is a very deep analysis there ryan! You put it across very well but the actual story is not confirmed so its very difficult to put down a definite answer, solution. Unless the husband reassure HT Devil & clear everything up Men and Women are alike in needing assurance & reassurance every then and now from their significant halves. This is what keeps the flame strong.
-
WAH!!! That's your place??? Looks soo nice. Can I go camp over at your place? Kidding leh but with the amount of space, you have alot of cleaning to do unless you have a maid to clean the place.
