  1. This one don't need to attempt to get a feature wall to cover the bomb shelter... Insanepoly didn't do anything to cover his bomb shelter. He painted his bomb shelter the same colour as the walls & put wall decals over the wall & door. Nice.. to summ up x|an's words, "why not showcase it"? Hehe, saw her photoshop pics on how to showcase aircon trunking a few ways in a blog yesterday.
  2. Wow, speaking of BKK trip, you gers going for how long? Im going BKK in may. Speaking of which, paiseh.. sorry apple I won't be able to make it for the BBQ with hubby le 'cos FIL's bday also.
  3. Heh I was querying on why apple say hafary don't give tile samples 'cos I also got free tile sample from Hafary. Skywolf mention she didn't get one for a particular type 'cos its ex? Im not very sure about the reason?
  4. Hooray! Can see renovation pics coming up soon when your reno starts!
  5. *Blush* Mafiawife! You say me so good liddat le. My knowledge is very limited to the areas I go to in JB just for shopping la, Anywhere else in Malaysia I dunno. When you enter JB right, if your friend drove you ard in JB from the customs, you will pass by 2 police stations before you will see Pelangi Plaza. The building before pelangi plaza is the bigger police station which takes up alot of space. Its very obvious that building..The other one is actually at the crossroads juncture, infront of this pacific mall which is not utilised much anymore. Like what mafiawife says, Winkplay has wink decals sold in JB. The outlets selling the decals in JB is listed on their website. You can check out the address from there. Only thing is the installation you got to do yourself so its a matter of pros-cons whichever you want to look at it.
  6. Hmm Hafary don't give tile samples??? I got a couple of tile samples for the tiles choosen a few months back from Hafary.. I think we were served by a nice lady called joey there? Can't remember her name but its a petite lady with cool dressing sense & ready smile but looks slightly young to be the manager or boss if its the same person that someone mentioned before
  7. The pattern stripe at the toilet can be covered up using epoxy paint, if you want to spend a little bit more to have it painted over. The outline will be visible but not so noticeable. Some forumers had their toilets & kitchen in epoxy paint.
  8. Sounds like your bf has a better eye than I have for being picky about not so obvious stuff. But it is good that your bf takes an interest in the house stuff or else you be left on your own to co-ordinate what needs to be done. Patrick's very patient & given the service orientation, Ho Bee's quite cool on what happens no matter what the problem is about.
  9. The meter reading seems haywire like that based on what you described, I hope it's consistent for us all the way. Okie I go watch movie now.
  10. lol juz saw your pm. kekeke. But tiring right the work?
  11. Eh ranval & blueberi, first time we got out PUB, ours was high for the month of jan-feb (About 110++) then hubby check meter and discover PUB overcharged us by 60 bucks more 'cos we'd only did some simple reno in Jan. Not possible to use so much electricity for that month. Hubby then shoot email to PUB with the meter reading & say they overcharged us based on how their charging rate by the meter which hubby did the maths. After that PUB's reply is that the amt state in bill, just pay first then offset the 'refund' for the next month's bill. So we pay lesser for the following month. Since then, our PUB bill is still low, cos we always switch off all the electrical plug switches. It's better you gers look closely at your bill and do the maths based on their charging rate by the meter. See if got overcharge or not? Their estimated reading is off the track actually if you compare your actual meter reading with their estimated reading. Poor skywolf, your work is like that huh? what you work as?
  12. Sure no prob if can find chance to let them meet or not
  13. Skywolf: It would be better to leave her in the care of my parents 'cos will be good company for my parents without me or my sibling around. You know when the children leave the 'nest' to fly and seek a home of their own.. older folks will be a bit lonely at home from time to time, that's the main reason why I left her with my parents. Applefreak: I agree with that. She'd just give me that guai look & be resting instead of going noisy and active. Babytan: She's my lil' ger ger. Someday in the future will have her staying by my side as the current arrangement is more or less that way at the moment.
  14. paiseh paiseh, me also kena stamp like apple. See good things but never take note of fine print. And congrats on your completion of your place.
  15. Woo, not bad though. Can see that your renovation is more or less nearly completed.
  16. Wow, expanding doors? This is a first for me. I'm also curious what the HDB contractor say to that?
  17. Blackapple: the wall decal shown is a partial pic of the original one (The original one extends to the ceiling actually) shown on winkplay website, with a few twists to make it look slightly spread out on the wall alone. So the cost for it is 400 sgd. Skywolf : Thanks She's a very good lil' ger ger
  18. Sure, would have to be a weekend since weekdays all busy working. maybe I'd play "wrestle" with ginger then run away with the thing before i give her to fetch.
  19. Just got back from my parent's place & took new shots of my lil crossbreed ger. Those pics are at the request of Ranval & several forumers like skywolf, applefreak & etc She's put on weight & seems to be aging alot but a happy one staying with my parents. (About 4-5 yrs old I think) My ger ger's soulful look. (yes, i adore her loads) Full body shot of my ger ger I think she resembles her mom when she goes playful with me running about. But bodywise is like her dad, looks just like her mom.
  20. Hehehe, as long as you're happy with the colours, don't have to worry about others.
  21. Woo I missed your t-blog.. then only see it & come spam chop here. Now waiting for pics of your sofa. Your dishrack is kinda unusual, comes with loops for wine glasses somemore to dry
  22. No prob. Just sharing what I know. Old folks are like that with traditional outlook. When I did the painting of my place with my hubby, we painted it in monchromatic coliours like dark & light grey colours for living & red for one of the walls. My PIL felt the colours were too sombre and dark for their liking. Only when the flooring & skirting are up then it made the view look better for them. It's very difficult for older generation to visualise clearly how the colours will turn out so it might turn out not too bad for your folks when everything's up in the end
  23. Nice 3 Ds & your colours look nice. I counted 6 diff colours choosen, but out of the 6 colours there. 4 are neutral companions to contrast nicely with Dark or light grey. Nice 2 hob vitroceramic (Ariston) is about 499 with mayer, might have discounted price. The brands, not sure about the pricing but brandt is ex
  24. Yes yes yes, black theme! kekeke its just about mix and match ba, for eg.. if 80% black, can match with at least 5-10% other colours(At least 1 outstanding item or decor in a bold colour to contrast) the remaining percentage will be for just neutral colours.
  25. Wow, not bad, your layout is different from the normal standard layout for 3 roomers. You were referring to induction cooker hob right? Would be more worth it if you got a 2 hob induction cooker as cannot use 4 hobs at the same time for cooking. Cheaper one is vitroceramic but got to be careful 'cos can burn yourself compared to induction.
