It was very bad planning and now i need to do a 2nd phase.. its a waste of money frankly on the PE fee. Anyway. yapyap 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2009 next to the study.. got a area for a mini fridge and some refreshment area.. 1st level guest bathroom.. really small.. no space.. so where is the kitchen? this is my kitchen.. not up yet.. still getting for approval. reason is because of this stupid thing... manhole... bad planning by my ID and bad advise by PE and QP.. yapyap 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2009 Enough of pics.. we just fixed our blinds yesterday.. hunterdouglas by a shop we found ourselves at the mall opposite ikea alexandra. Quoted us 4500 for the whole house.. which is quite reasonable.. if you notice how many and how big our windows are!! My ID initially found someone to quote us >10k.. albeit it was using motorised mechanism. We wanted manual but it still comes up to 7k ish.. gosh.. i wonder how much ID get comm for.. so we refused to go with his and found our own.. a very nice lady and reasonable prices too.. good quality stuff. installation was ok.. some alignment issues which she called me herself to confess that she will bring worker down to rectify. yapyap 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2009 Phase 2.. which is the missing kitchen bit.. So what happened is i had to start the whole stupid process all over again. I engaged another PE. he just managed to get a waiver for me from PUB to do exactly what the 1st team professionally adviced me cannot be done. 1) built a structure over the sewer /manhole 2) no necessity to divert the trench/sewer The job to divert the trench and sewer costs about 20-30k! and my PE just saved me that amount of money! not without undertaking to PUB of cos but i never believe PUB will ever need to access my manhole as im the first house at the top of the slope!
