Between Mr Chang And Tong Noong Zhen

Recommended Posts

Any proper fsm places the altar correctly as kcwee mentioned. Such practise whether be it traditional or proper practises have been passed down through history. Anybody who knows his work don't deviate from basics.

I also agree that this Tong by placing altar facing a room has no grounds to base on.

Looking for good contractors? Click here for your request

dun seek too many FSM if the first one works....u confuses yourself only.... anyway..... 一命,二运,三风水,四德, 五读书 ( do more charity if your destiny and luck are not in the cycle.) have patience for the FS thingy to kick in and work also.... change here and change there will do no good to you.

This sounds familiar.....I know someone often writes this phrase....

Not sure if got ground or base. This will need to check with the master itself. I am sure he have his reason in doing so. ( remember if no ill effect dun move at all or change

) not too good to anyhow pass comment on others...

Note that i'm a very curious person and alway ask why??

.....oic....so that is neh....now i undesrtand the logic behind why now this and that of cos etc......

if the location is bad, will you place there? if its good will you also place there?? ( bad sometime is not bad, good can also be no good you noe?

So why place there??

The next question will be this, is it the most ideal location to place or face?? given the owner situation and space etc?? does the house have any space constrain?? Will it do any harm? does the house have any ideal location?

Note that we aint expert in this area, better dun anyhow comment ( not fair to the master or other people )..........moreover there is no floor plan and picture to even to give comment. Correct? ( what we visualise might not be the actual situation of the place. Its mere words and sentences here only. hurhurhur...( however the location and sector might be very good?

eg..i bought a new car, no problem at all as its new, do i drive into the agent or workshop and tell them to change the engine or break system right? ( answer = NO )

eg.. if i am in good health i also will not ask the doctor to perform surgery/operation on my body too right. ( logic?? )

=P

So who are you to comment? You can comment, so do I. So how do you know he has the reason to do so? So how do you know its the right location? Unless you are Tong himself! Very ironic and contradiction. Many people comment buying ornaments from Tan KY, Hui etc expensive and don't work, so no need or right to comment? There are so many forummers who comment on this fsm and that, so you are telling them the same?

Lastly, your quote "not good to anyhow pass comments on others".......there's a biblical saying, "thou shall not point to the mold in your brother's eye when you yourself is a mountain of mold". (something like that)

Anyway, many famous Hong Kong Fsms wrote, “安神位宜向出不宜向入,尤其不宜向有人住的房间与厨房。。。若无祸比减荫福。。。“

Any english translation?

Let me be the busybody:

"Altar best to be placed facing OUT not IN, especially not facing toward rooms where human live, or toward kitchens. If having no incidents, or fortune will be reduced."

"Placing GOD towards main door, will bring in "luck" chi. No good to room (or ppl in rooms??).....Altar is where GOD is placed, room is for ppl to rest, husband & wife to intimate......thus pay no respect to Altar......"

Anyway, many famous Hong Kong Fsms wrote, “安神位宜向出不宜向入,尤其不宜向有人住的房间与厨房。。。若无祸比减荫福。。。“

I strongly believe that

Alter should be facing the windows but not to your bedroom

it's a form of respect to the god..

Imagine what are your dressing when leaving your bedroom

at night?? The god will be looking at you guys dressing

in your underpants/ dress or sleeping clothes!!!

Seeing through your house.

It's mainly because of the ventilation..

With see through house, the wind will flow through

your house directly.. Which means it only ventilate

small area only..

Door facing door

could you imagine you open and door in the mid of the night

to go bathroom and scare the **** out of you

by your own son/daughter/ maid going to the bathroom

at the same time??

Placing a mirror infront of the bed

would It scare out of you seeing a blur image of you

rising out of the bed with you??

Room in room

WIW will make pest and dust on your clothes

Bathroom will bring in the smell of after business

to your MBR

FS is not only for those who believe in them

but also proven in the western world with

it's theroy.. Of course, different fsm got different

skills and tactics. It's up to you to choose the right

way to Reno your house..

Dear Forum

Here is my experiences i would like to share. And i would like your advices.

Tong Noong Zhen (from Upper Serangoon Rd)

Mr Chang Tian (fengshuiyinyang)

a) Mr Tong Noong Zhen has been my geomancer for years. So far so good. However his concepts of fengshu is placing "fengshui items", which the items are cheap (not thousand of dollars type), maybe $1 for a hulu, or $1 for some old coins. I've known him since year 2004 and each year house audit i go to see him for advices. I never have major sickness, neither i am living in poverty.

b) I engaged Mr Chang this year since many members recommend good points in the forum. His style is no fengshui items, but perhaps plants only. However his style is more Qi Balancing. As my is an old house, he suggest that i do renovations to improve.

As Mr Tong is my long-term geomancer, i am not dis-trusting him but i discuss following issues with him.

1. I honestly discuss with him on my meeting with Mr Chang on renovations. He told me that regardless of renovation, the "fengshui" strategy remains the same. That means BEFORE i met Mr Chang, For example, my altar Guan Yin is facing my masterbedroom (not facing door or windows), it has to remain. BTW the purpose of Guan Yin altar facing my room is to "protect and watch over husband and wife, etc). After i met Mr Chang, he suggested a partion in my living room but Guan Yin faces the windows/main door. The partition is to prevent the door Qi NOT to flow out of windows. I've not decided on renovation yet.

2. For "water" placment, both of them indicate the SAME place. Ok at least both matches.

3. For "wealth or cai" placment, both of them differs. Mr Tong indicate there is another "cai position" and ask me to put a piggy bank. But Mr Chang told me that "water element is EQUAL to wealth location", thus there is no indication of "cai position". Therefore this part differs.

4. For "study" place, my normal direction by Mr Tong is face direction A, while Mr Chang ask me to do the opposite, ie currently my back will become front and front become back. This is conflicting between them.

5. both of the geomancers never heard each other before. Both said "experiences for over 20 years". Mr Tong Noong Zhen at times appear on Sin Min.

What Mr Tong told me that he is ok if i wish to adoot Mr Chang's strategy, but i must remove all Mr Tong's fengshui strategy and setup a new Mr Chang fengshui strategy. This is so that i can evaluate the effectiveness of different stratgies but NEVER try to combine them all to get max effects. He told me like u see Doctor A, then visit Specialist B, yet i try to consume BOTH medicine. He suggest ONE DOCTOR remedy.

However if later i found that Mr Chang "renovation of Qi" do not work well and ask Mr Tong again, Mr Tong told me that he will do the same setup PREVIOUSLY. That is because his fengshui strategy already combine for max effect for my Bazi.

At the same time, my wife has always wanted a re-design of house for herself. Again Mr Tong say regardless of renovation, eg the cai and wealth element or altar and others do not change and all things will be placed the same spot again.

I believe everyone of us here wants the best for him/her lives. Thus i've no choice but to state the issues openly.

Any ideas to break the decision making process ?

Kalimantan, seems like there are contradictions to what you say. Here you have indicated that there are already some changes master chang recommended and I believe this is what you call 5% including the altar and partition, changes to table direction ?

Seems like you did not even adopt any of master chang's recommendation. From another post, I read that you spent another $800++ to this dong or Tong just to put some fu or magical stone to carry in your pocket? Just wondering you can spend another $800++ to Dong , doesn't make any sense to your comparison with not spending extra fees to engage master chang again?

If it is 'true' to what you said about the altar facing the room recommended by your 'Dong', then I think mastere chang has done a good correction for you, don't you think so. Otherwise you wouldn't want to 'desperate' to consult to improve or change job something like that right. I think here may lies the critical issue as Ivy has brought out about the altar location. Maybe your unsatisfactory situation was due to dong/tong recommending wrongly the altar location.

Hi Kalimantan,

I would like to share my humble opinion as follow:

Renovations: Renovations will improve the FS for the premises only if it's structurally related to FS. e.g. the position of the door for landed property so that the owners will have better finances (earn more $). e.g. the stove in the kitchen is positioned such that all the beds in the rooms r facing it (something along thoses lines). To me, renovations have to have a major impact in improving the FS of the flat. Some flats might be old & run down but if the existing FS is good, why make major reno & change things? Otherwise u'll be dropping $ down the drain unless u just want to give it a facelift.

Guan Yin altar: TKY (wayonnet) would always place his clients' altar such that it is looking into the living room & guarding the owners staying in the flat. My altar is placed looking out of windows (@ balcony) with the main door at the side & not looking into the living room. And during special ocassions like CNY & praying to "tian-gong", it was a strategic ideal location: we'll set up tables & place offerings for praying.

The taiwanese FS master who came said that it was an ideal location even tho' we installed without his instruction. But the one sure thing is that u need to put ur altar with the deity against a solid wall From my perspective, unless your partition is a solid brick wall. If it's a hollow wall, it's probabbly going to be a disaster!

If u open your door & it's facing windows, u could just buy a partition or get a carpenter to build up a partition for u to "block" ur finances from flowing out of the flat. But again, not everybody is affected by such structures. Many of the punggol flats r built with such a layout. sengkang too. A friend of ours bought a rosewood partition with glass (8 carps motif) mounted on top from samtat. They strike 4D that week with the invoice # & won $3,000.

"... but i must remove all Mr Tong's fengshui strategy and setup a new Mr Chang fengshui strategy. This is so that i can evaluate the effectiveness of different stratgies but NEVER try to combine them all to get max effects. He told me like u see Doctor A, then visit Specialist B, yet i try to consume BOTH medicine. He suggest ONE DOCTOR remedy."

- Kalimantan, I agree with Mr Tong's views. U can only retain certain parts of Mr Tong's recommendations if Mr Chang said so (that's if u r using Mr Chang).

I also agree that if it doesn't work ultimately, the outcome will be disastrous. There were many stories of how good things turned bad with FS. Long long stories. How about going to famous waterloo street to request for a oracle from the thousand hand guanyin? I would normally get 1 "chaim" fr waterloo temple & another from lorong koo chye seng hong temple fr seng hong god - very accurate if u tell the god what u wanted to know very clearly.
