bright enough to do what? it really depends on your needs bah

i have a fan with light, not light kit but the round round light, 1 40w bulb

so far so good, coz i don't really do much in my bedroom :P

Hi Applefreak,

Can I know the difference between a fan with light and a fan with a light kit? For yours, the round round tube of light under the fan is the one you had is known as those fans with light? Hope i make sense...

:)

yes the one i have in my room is with light, just one round round tube of light

my dining one is with light kit, three bulbs of up to 40w each i think

that's 120w which i think is way too much for bedroom :bangwall:

most fans can be installed with or without light kit

but the fan with light (round tube) comes as is, and the remote IS included.

hope it helps :bangwall:

Has anyone bought the KDK Yuragi Ceiling fan

http://www.capital.com.sg/kdk/product/cf/z60ws.html

What it cost?

How about the elmark LMD2 or LMD 4

http://www.elmark.com.sg/html/LMD2.html

http://www.elmark.com.sg/html/LMD4.html

I am looking for 60" fans and was wondering whats the pricing like. So far these the only 3 i found

Whats the Yuragi thing? Does it make it cooler?

I do not know this for a fact, but will just pass on the information. And I also can't recall if I'd posted this earlier. Was told that the KDK motor is not as hardy as Crestar's. It was based on this feedback from the store I bought from that we ended up buying Crestar fans instead.

Where did you buy the Crestar fans? We went to New World Center (Hoe Kee) check out a few shops, they were trying to push this brand Mountain Aire on us

Didnt see any KDK, Fanco or Elmark. Got Amasco i think

i paid $170 for a fanco 60" fan similar to the elmark one :dunno:

Where did you buy your fanco fan?

Called KDK to asked about the 60" Yuragi ceiling fan we were eyeing

THey said that fan was not approved for HDB :P! Say if we want to buy and install , can also. Just have to remove IF HDB inspect the flat. The way she said it seems like HDB does not approve 60" fans for use in HDB flats

Anyone know how we can check which fans are approved for HDB and which are not? Is there a list on website somewhere? Whats the maximum size approved?

think HDB's limit is 4" stem i.e. the max distance between fan and ceiling is 4"

the yuragi 'stem' looks long to me 8|

Okay ..thanks applefreak!:notti:

Does it mean approved by SPRING = Can be used by HDB

or is there a seperate process to it?

Cause I thought approved by Spring = can be used in Singapore
