@Ankle ohh i forgot to mention, i'm sealing the kitchen side toilet door... so it will be a wall there instead....  mine sliding door will be at the blue line, it will overlap the window abit but wont be a prob to open or close it.. so both the sewage will be inside the wet area...

Icic.. my id advise me not to overlap shower screen with windows as the support wouldn't be strong. And i think it'll look abit weird. Had tried to google for shower screen overlapping windows for reference and couldn't seem to find any. That's why i choose not to overlap.

Also, please remember to waterproof the wall that you're sealing to prevent moldy and etc.

Hi @lindatok and @Ankle , may I know what happens to the pipe (see picture) after you change and now how you compensate for the same function of the pipe at the new basin area? IMG_E5205.JPG.65167021e9889f7258b45c81c08601a7.JPG

Gosh i feel i still got a long way to go ...

I didn't built shower kerb at the entrance. Dun think there's space coz wet area quite narrow.

After reading posts, I think this is a common problem. Just need to reduce the watersplash some how. I wonder if there are any rubber guards that we can install.... at the door... saw something that can install but it's on the floor... (see below)

It has been a long time since I last participated here... Based on posts, it seems that most of you would like to have wet/dry areas. And I managed to achieve it, thanks to lots of fabulous ideas from here. Mine is not a perfect wet/dry area but better than nothing as long as my fussy feet don't have to feel too soapy or wet when stepping into bathroom for brushing teeth or doing business =)

1) Relocated basin to the opposite wall just in front of toilet bowl (WC). Basin outlet is inside the shower kerb. Basin hot/cold water inlet pipes are connected to the water heater hot/cold inlet where shower is located at. Lots of pipes over there. Unsightly i know..

2) Installed sliding shower screen. Shower area is about 70cm wide. Acceptable for me until I put on weight (touchwood)

3) Small hole in the shower kerb to let water from wet area into the main floor trap (dry area). Actually there is a small floor trap near shower but too bad that it is mainly for water heater drainage and the floor slope is inclined towards main floor trap near toilet bowl (WC). That's why a hole had to be made on the shower kerb.

Note: I retained both two toilet entrances instead of sealing one, for some reasons. Yes water sometimes seeped into kitchen floor during shower. Not often though.

Mine was cutoff patched with some white thingy as shown in photo below. You'll need to overlay your bathroom floor if you want to cover that up.

Already installed floor guard thingy as shown in photo below... situation improved by alittle only.

thanks

I am not sure what you want to see. but based on my floor plan, the only thing I did was to shift my basin downwards nearer to the wall to give way to the shower screen which split the bathroom into dry and wet areas. This is because of the big window. Below is the end result.2016-08-14_11_37_01.jpg.e2ea22e1ea930228c004746e30fa8818.jpg

I mop dry every time after shower so not a big issue to me.

mmoh, I saw you got the glass sliding sitting on the kerb. U asked the contractor to build the kerb and match the tiles? I find the kerb is a good idea to divide wet/dry toilet.

hi guys, does HDB have standard measurements for BTO 2 room windows (Width x height) on living room and bedroom? I would like to calculate the cost of doing additional frames to my bto flat going to ready in a few mths time.

Thanks!!
